TMZ reports that boxing legend Mike Tyson will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame from Miami, Florida this year during WrestleMania 28 weekend.
Tyson told TMZ, "I am honored to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. I was the youngest heavyweight champion of all time, but the most fun I ever had in the ring was with WWE."
Tyson hosted RAW last year but his most famous appearance with WWE came back in 1998 when he had a confrontation with Steve Austin on RAW before being the special enforcer for Austin vs. Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania.

It's funny to see people complaining about Tyson going into the HOF. Out of any celebrity they could put in the HOF, Tyson deserves it. He's the majority of the reason people watched WrestleMania XIV and that segment with Austin is one of the most talked about segments in wrestling history. It's not like he's Drew Carey who had no real reason to be in the WWE HOF

Iron Mike definitely deserves a place in the celebrity wing. He's a legit fan who helped to garner mainstream attention for the money program at WM 14. Cyndi Lauper is the only celeb who did more for the company in the entire history of the event.

Iron Mike Tyson was one of the people that really helped the WWE start to win the ratings war between Raw and Nitro which led to the demise of WCW. So for that reason alone he should be included in the WWE Hall of Fame Celebrity wing.

That's awesome that Mike Tyson is going into the WWE Hall of Fame!
For me, this announcement is also sort of ironic since I actually just met Mike Tyson and got my picture taken with him 48 hours ago at Wrestle Reunion 6.
I agree that Mike Tyson deserves induction more than other celebrities such as Drew Carey and William Perry who are already in the WWE Hall of Fame.
