As I updated my Restart fed's title history last night I looked at my original title histories compared to the Restart version. I thought I could potentially share a lesson in patience to all those who might race through certain years to get caught up (I was very guilty of this). Here we go:
Restart Fed - GWF Heavyweight Championship
Thantos - Winner of 2087 Tournament - Card 1 (Jan 2087)
Wolf - Defeated Thantos - Card 25 (Sept 2087)
Star Warrior - Defeated Wolf - Card 31 (Jan 2088)
Wolf - Defeated Star Warrior - Card 81 (Aug 2089)
Thantos - Defeated Wolf - Card 86 (Nov 2089)
Star Warrior - Defeated Thantos - Card 100 (Apr 2090)
Bounty Hunter - Defeated Star Warrior - Card 110 (July 2090)
Star Warrior - Defeated Bounty Hunter - Card 116 (Sept 2090)
Compare to Original in which I skipped from 2088 to 2096 extremely quickly:
GWF Heavyweight Championship
Thantos - Won 2087 Tournament - Card 1
Spike - Defeated Thantos - Card 25
Janus - Defeated Spike - Card 45
Spike - Defeated Janus - Card 50
Chaos - Defeated Spike - Card 53
Spike - Defeated Chaos - Card 65
Matador of M83 - Defeated Spike - Card 70
Pegasus - Defeated Matador of M83 - Card 85
Spike - Defeated Pegasus - Card 87
Janus - Defeated Spike - Card 112
An abbreviated version of the original fed. Things start to get a little less crazy in the Civil War era when I force myself to slow down but let's have some fun with numbers shall we:
Thantos only had one reign with the quick influx of top tier talent in the original. He's already at 2 in the restart and contending for a possible 3.
Even crazier are the names missing from the list in the original. No Star Warrior, no Wolf. Star Warrior has been unstoppable in 2090-2091 but he never had that chance in the original.
Maybe my favorite stat: Janus wins his first title in the original fed on card 45. Assuming I stick to 30 card years in the restart (doubtful), Janus won't even debut until card 270. By that time in the original fed, Janus was already a 4-time Heavyweight Champion.
So remember...Patience is a virtue. Hope you enjoyed the lesson I learned the hard way.
