Some fun team action. Dissension in the ranks of the Royal Family. The FDF was stacked at this time, not surprised to see them take the duke. The Masked Assassins drop the ball, but I always preferred them to Nexus Inc. It's a good thing you didn't book the Gladiators to go last, an Animen victory may have sparked a riot (surprised second from the top went off without a hitch). Big win for Thantos and the Galactic Rebels.

I wonder what the outcomes would have been like had the losing wrestler left the cage (creating an advantage for the fall scoring team) instead of the fall scoring wrestler 'escaping'. One for the What If books!

Show opens with highlights from Escape From Aethra '92.



ROCKET: Welcome to Monday Night War Games. You saw some brutal action last night at Escape From Aethra '92. And we are being joined by Thantos and the Galactic Rebels now!

Thantos and the Galactic Rebels come out to the ring.

THANTOS: Last night, the Galactic Rebels showed the galaxy why they are the hottest villain team in the GWF! You want to know why I aligned myself with them? Because Thantos does not walk with losers! Gladiators! Assassins! Royal Court! This is why you have taken a back seat to the Galactic Rebels. Because they won last night. And you did not!

Commissioner Carter walks out.

CARTER: That's all well and good, Thantos. But, tonight, the show must go on. And you are contractually obligated tonight to defend the Galaxian Heavyweight Championship!

THANTOS: Blah blah blah, Carter! I know I have to defend my title tonight. But I am making a stipulation right now! It must be against someone whose team did not lose last night. That means...no Star Warrior. No Chaos. No Gladiator.

CARTER: That's fine. Because these wrestlers won last night and believe they have the right to be rewarded with a title shot.

Amazonia leads the AniMen of Andromeda out.

CARTER: I have already agreed to give the Beasts of Burden a match against Brute and Massacre at Men of Steel for the Galaxian Tag Team Titles. So, tonight, you will defend the Galaxian Heavyweight Championship against either Wolf or Battering Ram!

THANTOS: Fine! I say, we let the fans choose who they want to see get the match!

CARTER: Really. Well fans. Do you want it to be Battering Ram?

Ram gets a good ovation.

CARTER: Or do you want it to be Wolf?

Wolf gets a huge pop!

CARTER: Well, the fans have decided. Wolf it is!

THANTOS: Wrong! Do you really think I am going to do what these idiots want? I'll defend the title against Battering Ram! Hahahahah!

Fans boo loudly! Wolf steps towards the ring and then steps back and shakes Ram's hand.

WOLF: Owoooooooo!!!!! Then Ram will be the next Galaxian Heavyweight Champion!

THE ROYAL FAMILY w/Royal Overlord VS TITANPOWER w/Trainer Jim
Good tag action early on. Killer Queen's agility frustrated Billy Jo Boxer and then Exo-King's power had Boxer in trouble.Killer Queen trapped Boxer in the CHECKMATE but Boxer was immediately in the ropes to break the hold. The Titans batled back and Lord Nexus nailed Eo-King with a dropkick off turnbuckle and then went for the cover and scored a two count. Boxer tagged in and hit Exo-King with the TKO and he, too, scored a two count. Lord Nexus tagged back in and hit the TITAN DROP on Exo-King and it was one two and kickout! The match went outside and Exo-King was busted open and then nailed with a left-right combo by Billy Jo Boxer and was floored and out cold outside the ring.

STEVE: I think Boxer has something in that hand!

ROCKET: The only thing he has is a solid fist!

STEVE: An illegal fist! I got you.

THE KEEPERS OF THE STONE VS POWERHOUSE w/Commander Sam
Lots of tags made early on as these four huge men went at it. Massif hit the VOLCANIC DROP on Rogue and scored a two count. Earthquake tagged in and Powerhouse gave Rogue the DOUBLE QUAKE and Earthquake made the cover. One! Two! Kickout! Massif tagged back in and hit the VOLCANIC DROP on Rogue again. Earthquake cut off Scourge and it went one two and three!
WINNERS OF THE MATCH: POWERHOUSE

ROCKET: Powerhouse has defeated the War Games Tag Team Champions in a nontitle match.

STEVE: They are good at winning nontitle matches. And getting beaten up by the Royal Family.

SPIKE w/The Guardsman VS CHAOS
They went back and forth with neither man able to gain an advantage until the action spilled out of the ring. Chaos took over and back inside he quickly applied the BOW OF DEFEAT. Spike refused to submit so Chaos delivered the Hyperdrive and made the cover and scored a one count. Chaos then reapplied the BOW OF DEFEAT and Spike still wouldn't submit. Chaos kept the hold on as blood started to drip from Spike's mouth and The Guardsman was unable to distract the ref and Spike finally gave it up.
WINNER OF THE MATCH: CHAOS

ROCKET: The biggest win yet for Chaos here in the GWF!

STEVE: He was quite impressive tonight. I agree.

DREADNAUGHT AND PRISON CAMP w/Doomsayer VS THE GALACTICOPS AND MESMER, MASTER OF THE OCCULT w/Commander Sam
The Rebel team starts off early with the better teamwork. Tongsoon hits Mesmer with the BATTLE CRY and scores the two count. Later, Tongsoon uses the Warrior Whip to get a one count on Mesmer. Another Warrior Whip and Galactic Punisher comes in but Tongsoon gives Mesmer and Punisher a Noggin' Knocker and covers Mesmer and scores a one count. Then, from out of the blue, Count Necros attacked an already bleeding Mesmer, giving him the Phantom Dust. The ref calls for the bell and the Rebel team starts to argue with Count Necros and Royal Overlord.
WINNERS OF THE MATCH AS A RESULT OF A DISQUALIFICATION: THE GALACTICOPS AND MESMER, MASTER OF THE OCCULT

ROCKET: We have some issues developing here between the Rebels and the Court!

STEVE: It looks like jealousy is rearing its ugly head on part of Royal Overlord and the Royal Court. And now the Royal Family seems to be siding with the Rebels in this argument. What a mess!

THE GLADIATORS w/The Guardsman VS TITAN EXPRESS w/Trainer Jim
The Titans took it to the Gladiators right away. Brute missed a running shoulder and Pulsar Prime caught him with the Tomahawk Thrust and went for the cover and one two...very close but not quite three. Dragonmaster sent Brute flying out of the ring with the Cobra Nerve Stopper and Brute had to work to get back into the ring and avoid being counted out. Brute tried to fight back but was unable to execute a slingshot and Pulsar Prime cut him open with another Tomahawk Thrust and covered him and scored a one count. Dragonmaster tagged in and hit the DRAGON DROP and scored a two count. The Gladiators battled back and Brute hit the BRUTE FORCE on Dragonmaster and scored a two count. Massacre tagged in and gave Dragonmaster THE CLEANSING and scored a two count as well. Brute tagged in and hit the BRUTE FORCE again but could only get a one count on a bloodied Dragonmaster. Massacre then tagged in and the champs delivered the DECAPITATOR to Dragonmaster and Brute clobbered Pulsar Prime as Massacre covered Dragonmaster and got the one two three.

Thantos trolled the crowd during the match just as he had at the start of the show. He used the ropes to choke Ram and then went for a cover and got a one count. He then locked on the MASTERLOCK and made Ram submit quickly.

The show opens with Thantos in the dressing room.

THANTOS: Have I gotten everyone's attention? Do you finally understand who I am? I think the message finally has sunk in for Battering Ram! Hahahah! Royal Overlord! You need to get your men focused! Magnus Colby! Your team better find some guts! Men of Steel is upon us! Don't let me down like you did at Escape From Aethra '92!

MCDUFF: Welcome to Saturday Night Invasion. Susan McDuff alongside Eek and as you just heard, we are beginning the march towards Men of Steel '92.

EEK: My favorite night of the year, Susan. Men of Steel. Where every match is contested inside of a Cosmic Cage.

MCDUFF: Two matches are already signed for Men of Steel. First is the return bout where Prison Camp will defend the Interplanetary Tag Team Titles against the Norse Gods. Secondly, as was announced Monday Night, the Gladiators will defend the Galaxian Tag Team Titles against the Beasts of Burden.

EEK: The Gladiators are in our main event tonight in a nontitle match against TitanPower. Also tonight, the War Games Tag Team Champions, the Keepers of the Stone, face the Royal Family in a nontitle match.

MCDUFF: Let's go to the ring.

DEATH MASQUE w/Magnus Colby VS COMMANDER SAM
Sam dominated most of the action early and used a skullcrusher to gain a two count. Masque would get in spurts of offense but Sam just kept coming and applied an abdominal stretch but Death Masque would not submit! Sam even hit SAM'S ATOMIC DROP but could only get a two count. But a second dose of SAM'S ATOMIC DROP finished off Death Masque as Sam covered for the one two three.
WINNER OF THE MATCH: COMMANDER SAM

MCDUFF: Well, Thantos has called out the Masked Assassins but they did not answer the call tonight.

COLBY: I'm going to stay here. I want to see this next match!

KRAKAN, HITMAN FOR HIRE VS GHENGIS KHAN
This one is all Krakan as he soon delivers the HITMAN'S CARD and one two and kickout! Then he finishes it off with a deadly clothesline and the one two three.
WINNER OF THE MATCH: KRAKAN, HITMAN FOR HIRE

MCDUFF: Krakan is victorious!

COLBY: Mister Krakan! Mister Krakan! I would like to speak to you. It's very urgent and the money will be well worth it for you.

MCDUFF: Oh my goodness gracious! What is that all about?

EEK: Really, Susan? Don't act like a TNA announcer! Anyone with a brain cell knows what he wants. Who knows how to defeat the Titans better than Krakan? Colby is obviously getting some pointers ready for Men of Steel.

MCDUFF: Let's go to our next match.

ABOVE THE LAW AND COUNT NECROS w/Royal Overlord VS THE NORSE GODS AND LANCE AT-LAS w/Solaris
The Royal Court team got the immediate advantage and Mad Jester hit Lance At-Las with a foreign object and went for the pin and the ref counted one two and kickout just before three. Later, Count Necros hit Man-Mountain with the Shadow Boxing and went for the pin but Lightening made the save. Then it was Lightening on the defensive as Mad Jester landed the JAGGED EDGE and scored a two count. The Gods finally got something going as Lance At-Las countered a running clothesline and then executed a flying head scissors on Count Necros and went for the pin and scored a one count. Man-Mountain tagged in and hit the MOUNTAIN SLIDE on Necros and also got a one count. Later, Lightening caught Bishop Hell in the NORSE SLEEPER GRIP but Hell reached the ropes to break the hold. Lightening would later land the Lightening Kick on Mad Jester and make the cover and Bishop Hell would make the save. The Court would get back in control with Jester landing a flying elbow on Lightening and making the cover and scoring a two count. Count Necros would tag in and give Lightening the PHANTOM DUST but he would only be able to score a two count. Bishop Hell would tag in and hit the FLYING CROSS and Man-Mountain would come in and a huge brawl would erupt Lightening would end up bloodied and Mad Jester would hit the JAGGED EDGE again and Solaris would not be able to make a distraction as the referee would count one two three and Lightening would be the one pinned.
WINNERS OF THE MATCH: ABOVE THE LAW AND COUNT NECROS

MCDUFF: The action was hot in this one and the Royal Family picks up the win!

EEK: I've noticed a trend. Above the Law and Count Necros win. Then, just when it looks like the Royal Court will become most prominent, Exo-King and Killer Queen get beat.

MCDUFF: They are in our next match.

KEEPERS OF THE STONE VS THE ROYAL FAMILY w/Royal Overlord
The Royal Family was looking for a quick win as Exo-King caught Scourge in the DEATH VISE but could not get the submission. Killer Queen tagged in and locked Scourge in the CHECKMATE but Scourge reached the ropes to break the hold. Another CHECKMATE on Scourge and another desperate grab of the ropes to keep Scourge from submitting. The Royal Family continued to pound on Scourge, bloodying him up as Rogue had yet to tag in. Rogue finally managed to tag in but soon found himself caught in a skullcrusher by Exo-King but he would not give up. Exo-King would apply the DEATH VISE to Rogue but Rogue refused to submit. Finally, the Keepers got something going as Scourge landed the Pirate Pounce on Killer Queen to score a two count. Rogue tagged in and the Keepers gave Killer Queen the DIVIDE AND CONQUER and Scourge sucker punched Exo-King as Rogue covered Killer Queen to score the three count.

EEK: What did I tell you.

MCDUFF: The Keepers of the Stone are victorious but can they leave Men of Steel '92 with the War Games Tag Team Titles? Our main event is next.

THE GLADIATORS w/The Guardsman VS TITANPOWER w/Trainer Jim
This was almost over in the blink of an eye as Brute delivered the BRUTE FORCE to Lord Nexus and Billy Jo Boxer had to make the save. Didn't take long though as Massacre gave Lord Nexus THE CLEANSING and Brute made sure Boxer, who never tagged in one time, could not make another save as Massacre scored the three count.

EEK: Wow! Maybe Colby should be recruiting the Gladiators.

JUNE 2, 2092

The show opens inside Commissioner Carter's office. Present are: Carter; Galaxian Heavyweight Champion Thantos; Star Warrior and Omega; and Chaos.

THANTOS: I don't see where either one of them should get a shot at me at Men of Steel. Both their teams lost to mine at Escape From Aethra.

WARRIOR: Yes, but I was the first wrestler out of the cage at Escape From Aethra.

CHAOS: I too escaped the cage. And I just left the great Spike spitting up blood.

THANTOS: Congratulations, Chaos. You won one match in five months in the GWF! You can't even beat Star Warrior.

CARTER: Thantos is correct. He has shown his superiority so far this year over the two of you. However, the only more worthy contenders are Spike and Matador of M83 and they are both contractually obligated to defend their own titles at Men of Steel. Therefore, I am going to make the main event at Men of Steel '92 a three-way Cosmic Cage elimination match for the Galaxian Heavyweight Championship.

THANTOS: What? Who is making the decisions around here? Your daughter Dixie? Didn't we do this at Deimos Perennial '92 and I beat both of them then, too?

CARTER: I want all of you to pay attention. By rule, if Thantos loses at Men of Steel, he will get a rematch in July, no matter which one of you wins. However, and this is very important for you Chaos and you Star Warrior. At least one of you is going to lose. That is guaranteed. And, whoever loses, one or both of you, understand that it may be a very long time before you get another shot at the Galaxian Heavyweight Championship.



ROCKET: Welcome to Monday Night War Games! And you just heard the announcement! Thantos will defend the Galaxian Heavyweight Championship against Chaos and Star Warrior at Men of Steel '92!

STEVE: Commissioner Carter must really want that belt off of Thantos to make him defend it against two men.

ROCKET: Also at Men of Steel, the Gladiators defend the Galaxian Tag Team Titles against the Beasts of Burden. And, Prison Camp defends the Interplanetary Tag Team Titles against the Norse Gods.

STEVE: We have some great action in store tonight. The Gladiators will be here. All four of them in action. Also, the Keepers of the Stone. And more.

THE GALACTICOPS w/Commander Sam VS THE ROYAL FAMILY w/Royal Overlord
Justice took a nasty tumble to the floor and had to struggle back into the ring to avoid a countout loss. Exo-King the quickly applied the DEATH VISE but could not get a submission. The Royal Family kept Justice in their corner and Killer Queen applied the CHECKMATE but Justice reached the ropes to break the hold. Justice was bloodied but managed to tag out. The match got out of hand later and Galactic Punisher ended up being disqualified for hitting Exo-King with his own scepter.

STEVE: Cheating hypocrites! Did you see that, Rocket?

PULSAR PRIME w/Trainer Jim VS BOUNTY HUNTER w/Reynard B. Guile
Bounty Hunter takes control early and an assisted AMBUSH scores a one count. A brawl outside the ring and Pulsar Prime hits the referee accidentally.

ROCKET: Totally an accident! What a tough break for Pulsar Prime! Let's go to our next match!

DREADNAUGHT w/Doomsayer VS BATTERING RAM w/Amazonia
Battering Ram gets off to a great start and gets a one count with the BATTERING RAM. Dreadnaught comes back with the Terror Face Claw but Ram gets to the ropes to break the hold. Dreadnaught follows up with the Torpedo Launch and it is one two oh kickout! Dreadnaught follows up with the GUIDED MISSILE and scores the one two three.
WINNER OF THE MATCH: DREADNAUGHT

ROCKET: We have Doomsayer joining us.

DOOMSAYER: You see what my Transevolver has created? A great fighting machine! At Men of Steel, Dreadnaught will destroy Lance At-Las and then will head towards championship gold!

THE KEEPERS OF THE STONE VS TITANPOWER w/Trainer Jim
After both teams made tags, Scourge hit Billy Jo Boxer with a head butt and scored a two count. There was a lot of back and forth in this one. Scourge would give Lord Nexus a head butt and would score a one count. Lord Nexus hit Rogue with a reverse knife-edge and made the cover and scored a one count. Billy Jo Boxer tagged in and delivered the TKO to Rogue and scored a two count. Another TKO from Boxer scored another two count on Rogue. Lord Nexus tagged in and executed the TITAN DROP on Rogue for a two count. Billy Jo Boxer tagged in and busted Rogue open with the Sledgehammer and made the cover and it was one two and kickout! Lord Nexus tagged in and delivered another TITAN DROP but Rogue kicked out at one. The Keepers came back and Scourge gave Nexus a devastating clothesline and made the cover and scored a two count. Later, Scourge tagged in and Billy Jo Boxer did not see it and Scourge hit the Scourge Mauler and scored the one two and kickout! Later, Scourge caught Boxer with another Scourge Mauler and Rogue cut off Lord Nexus as Scourge just managed to score the one two three.

SPIKE AND MAYHEM w/The Guardsman VS THE YOUNG ALLIES
After a slow start, the Gladiator team went to work on Adam Blast with Spike scoring a one count following the Head Rammer. Later, it was Spike with the MEGADESTROYER on Vlad Hammer and Mayhem clobbered Blast as Spike scored the one two three.
WINNERS OF THE MATCH: SPIKE AND MAYHEM

MAYHEM: Wolf! Owooooooo! Guess who just joined up with TK's BWO! That's me, Wolf! At Men of Steel '92, I'm going to drink your blood from the walls of the Cosmic Cage!

SPIKE: Battering Ram. Didn't do so good against Thantos or Dreadnaught. Yet Carter has given you the shot at my War Games Title. Get used to losing, Battering Ram. It fits well on you!

ROCKET: Let's go to our main event!

THE GLADIATORS w/The Guardsman VS POWERHOUSE w/Commander Sam
Tide turned multiple times early. Brute scored a one count with the BRUTE FORCE on Massif. Massacre tagged in and the Gladiators gave Massif the DECAPITATOR but Massif kicked out at 2. Massif came back with an overhead toss delivered to Brute and scored a one count. Later it would be Earthquake scoring a two count on Brute thanks to the CLIFFHANGER. Massif tagged in and gave Brute the VOLCANIC DROP and Massacre made the save. Earthquake tagged in and Powerhouse delivered the DOUBLE QUAKE to a bleeding Brute and Massacre came into the ring and attacked Earthquake. The Gladiators them delivered a spike Gladiator piledriver to Earthquake and the ref called for the bell.

ROCKET: Oh come on! Not the referee! Wait, Commander Sam in there......not Sam! DECAPITATOR! The Gladiators have left Powerhouse and Sam laying! We're out of time!

The show opens with Reynard B. Guile with Bounty Hunter.

GUILE: My Bounty Hunter has been all over the galaxy, hunting big game! Now, we have returned to the GWF to recapture a prize stolen from us! Matador of M83! You stole my money and you stole the Interplanetary Championship! But, at Men of Steel '92, Matador, the bounty is on your head. You are the hunted, Matador of M83! Bounty Hunter will regain the I-P belt!

MCDUFF: Welcome to Saturday Night Invasion! Susan McDuff alongside Eek and you have just heard another match announced for Men of Steel '92!

EEK: That should be a great match, Susan McDuff. But we have a great one for you tonight as well.

MCDUFF: That is right! Tonight, the Gladiators will face the Keepers of the Stone in a Champions vs Champions Match! Plus, Renegade goes one-on-one with Mr. Galaxy. And more. Let's go to the ring.

VANITY w/Sweet Thing VS COMMANDER SAM
Vanity missed a turnbuckle charge and Commander Sam rolled him up but Sweet Thing distracted the referee. Sam looked like he would easily win this match but Vanity fought back. Sam hit SAM'S ATOMIC DROP but only got a one count. Another SAM'S ATOMIC DROP drew blood and scored a two count. Finally, Sam applied an abdominal stretch and Vanity submitted.
WINNER OF THE MATCH: COMMANDER SAM

EEK: Commander Sam fighting dirty and bloodying Vanity. No need for that!

MCDUFF: Vanity better be ready to get really bloody as we head to Men of Steel '92.

KRAKAN, HITMAN FOR HIRE VS THE GUARDSMAN
The Guardsman went for the upset with the CRACKDOWN and scored a one count. Another CRACKDOWN scored a two count. Krakan came back, delivered the HITMAN'S CARD and scored the one two three.
WINNER OF THE MATCH: KRAKAN, HITMAN FOR HIRE

MCDUFF: Krakan is your winner. We have a good Three-Man Match next.

ABOVE THE LAW AND COUNT NECROS w/Royal Overlord VS LANCE AT-LAS AND THE NORSE GODS w/Solaris
Many tags were made in this match. Bishop Hell blasted Lance At-Las with HELLFIRE but could only score a two count. Mad Jester connected with the JAGGED EDGE on At-Las and it was one tow and kickout! Bishop Hell blasted At-Las with HELLFIRE again and the ref called for the bell.

EEK: That referee is blind! Michael McKinney should have him fired.

OVERLORD: It's not important, Eek. What is important is that at Men of Steel, HELLFIRE is legal. Do you hear that GalactiCops? You will both burn at Men of Steel!

RENEGADE VS MR. GALAXY w/Sweet Thing
Galaxy sent Renegade into the turnbuckle but Renegade charged out of the corner with a running lariat and made the cover and scored a one count. Mr. Galaxy battled back and applied the Boston Crab but Renegade reached the ropes to break the hold. Galaxy locked in the MUSCLE RIPPER but still could not get a submission. The match went back and forth quite a bit. Galaxy again applied the MUSCLE RIPPER but Renegade was immediately into the ropes to break the hold. A bit later, Mr. Galaxy applied the Abdominal Stretch and Renegade submitted.
WINNER OF THE MATCH: MR. GALAXY

EEK: A great victory for Mr. Galaxy, Susan.

MASSACRE: You're a fat slob!

ROCKET: Welcome to Monday Night War Games! Johnny Rocket alongside Freebird Steve and as you heard, we have a great main event tag team match tonight pitting the Galaxian Tag Team Champions, The Gladiators, against Powerhouse in a nontitle match.

STEVE: Also in another nontitle bout, the War Games Tag Team Champions, the Keepers of the Stone, face off against Wolf and Battering Ram.

ROCKET: Let's go to our opening match.

THE COSMIC FORCES w/Doomsayer VS THE YOUNG ALLIES
After a small early advantage by the Forces, Matter found himself in trouble and Adam Blast hit the MEGABLAST and it was one two and kickout! A defensive tag turned the tide and Antimatter scored a two count on Adam Blast with the NEGATIVE CHARGE. Later, it was Matter with the POSITIVE CHARGE to Vlad Hammer and the three count as Antimatter prevents Blast from making the save.

ROCKET: Doomsayer is joining us now.

DOOMSAYER: Now, correct me if I am wrong, but the Young Allies are the former War Games Tag Team Champions. So, by my count, that should put the Cosmic Forces in line for a title shot at the Keepers of the Stone. Greek Gods! You need to get out of our way! This is our time!

THE BEASTS OF BURDEN w/Amazonia VS THE ROYAL FAMILY w/Royal Overlord
This one is over quick. After each team makes a couple of tags, the Beasts hit Killer Queen with the ANDROMEDA DROP and Incredible Badger makes the cover and gets the one two three as Iron Mane keeps Eo-King from making the save.

STEVE: I don't know how much longer Royal Overlord is going to put up with those two losers.

ROCKET: Amazonia. The Beasts of Burden look ready for Men of Steel!

AMAZONIA: We are ready for the Gladiators. We beat them at Escape From Aethra and we will tag the titles from them at Men of Steel.

ROCKET: Now, wait just a minute! Brute and Massacre are coming out here. Let's not start any trouble.

MASSACRE: Relax, Bottle Rocket. I just want to set the record straight. Mark my words! By the end of the year, the Gladiators will have brought an end to the tag team known as the Beasts of Burden! Take it to the bank!

ROCKET: Wow! A bold guarantee by Massacre. Let's go to the ring.

BOUNTY HUNTER w/Reynard B. Guile VS LORD NEXUS w/Trainer Jim
Bounty Hunter dominates and seems to have the match won with the assisted AMBUSH but Jim makes the distraction as he complains about the interference from Guile. So, another assisted AMBUSH and it is one two and kickout! Bounty Hunter with one more Guile-assisted AMBUSH and Jim again distracts the ref and Bounty Hunter, leading to an out of the ring brawl that sees Lord Nexus take a nasty cut across the forehead. Lord Nexus is able to rally and scores a two count with a flying leg scissors. Lord Nexus follows up with the TITAN DROP and scores a one count. Bounty Hunter, however, comes back and executes the Snap Snare and scores the one two three.
WINNER OF THE MATCH: BOUNTY HUNTER

STEVE: Not even the cheating Trainer Jim could keep Lord Nexus from getting beat.

ROCKET: Now, wait just a minute! Whiplash is in the ring and just nailed Lord Nexus from behind. And now he is applying the THUMBSCREW! Magnus Colby and Krakan looking on and yelling instructions! Here comes Billy Jo Boxer! This was totally uncalled for!

STEVE: The Masked Assassins sending a message to the Fighting Titans regarding Men of Steel. Recruiting Krakan was a stroke of genius!

ROCKET: Let's go to our next match.

MAYHEM w/The Guardsman VS LANCE AT-LAS w/Solaris
At-Las meets Mayhem's aggression head on and scores a one count after catching Mayhem with a flying clothesline after being whipped into the turnbuckle. Mayhem comes back but misses the LEAP OF DOOM. Mayhem would then come back with the Mayhem Manslaughter and the cover and one two and kickout! Mayhem would follow up with the +4 LEAP OF DOOM and it was one two and another kickout! Mayhem would then hit the +6 LEAP OF DOOM and Solaris could not make the distraction as Mayhem scored the one two three.

STEVE: I hope Wolf was watching! Mayhem has already beaten Wolf in the Torture Chamber and he will beat him in the Cosmic Cage at Men of Steel.

THE KEEPERS OF THE STONE VS BATTERING RAM AND WOLF w/Amazonia
Wolf and Ram dominated the offense early but the Keepers would not go down. Then the Keepers took over and found the AniMen to be just as tough. Finally, Scourge gave Wolf a backward head slam and made the cover but barely even got a one count. Rogue tagged in and the Keepers used the DIVIDE AND CONQUER on Wolf and Rogue made the cover and scored a two count. Scourge posted Wolf outside the ring and opened a gash and Wolf had to get back into the ring to avoid being counted out. Later, Wolf would counter a piledriver and give Rogue the Wolf Skullcrusher and make the cover and score a two count. Battering Ram would later hit Scourge with the BATTERING RAM and score a two count. Wolf tagged in and applied the SAVAGE FACE CLAW and Scourge reached the ropes to break the hold. Later, Rogue would make a lunge at Wolf's throat but Wolf would counter and hit a running clothesline and make the cover but barely even get a one count. Battering Ram would give Scourge the Ani-Men Ax Handle and make the cover and score a two count. Wolf then tagged in and applied the SAVAGE FACE CLAW, drawing blood and Rogue would make the save. Wolf gave Scourge a neckbreaker and went for the cover. Rogue made the save and a brawl broke out. A bit later, Wolf again applies the SAVAGE FACE CLAW and Scourge finally submitted.

ROCKET: Wolf and Battering Ram are ready for Men of Steel!

STEVE: While Wolf wrestles in tag matches, Mayhem gets himself ready with singles matches. I think Mayhem will have the advantage. And no way does Battering Ram have a chance of taking the War Games belt from Spike in a cage.

THE GLADIATORS w/The Guardsman VS POWERHOUSE w/Commander Sam
After a bit of action, the Gladiators got the advantage on Earthquake and hit the DECAPITATOR and Massacre made the cover but only got a two count. Brute tagged in and gave Earthquake the Gladiator Piledriver and made the cover but again Earthquake kicked out at 2. Brute would a little later give Earthquake another Gladiator Piledriver and make the cover. Massacre would clobber Massif as Brute scored the three count.

BRUTE: Every time you turn on GWF Wrestling, be it Monday Night War Games or Saturday Night Invasion, you are going to watch the Gladiators beat people up!

MASSACRE: Thakur said for us to take out every single team in the GWF and that is exactly what we intend to do! TitanPower! It's your turn again!

Camera shot changes to TitanPower and Trainer Jim.

JIM: We just want the fans to know that, tonight, they can count on Lord Nexus and Billy Jo Boxer to step into that ring with the heart and determination it takes to be a Titan. Brute. Massacre. We will not back down. We will not be intimidated. We will give everything we have and do our best to beat the best tag team in the galaxy.

The next shot moves to the Federation Defense Fighters and Commander Sam.

SAM: U! S! A! U! S! A! U! S! A! Tonight, the Federation Defense Fighters have double duty. We have a chance to eradicate two different forces of evil that are already coming apart from the inside out! Galactic Rebels! Seems a couple of your members are having trouble getting along. Looks like the transevolver machine has gone to Dreadnaught's head! We'll see how that affects them in the ring in a three-man match. Same goes for you, Royal Court. Who runs that court anyways? The king? Or the overlord? Royal Family! The sneak attacks are over! Tonight, Powerhouse will squash you!

Camera cuts to Doomsayer with Prison Camp and Dreadnaught. Dreadnaught and Tongsoon stare at each other the entire interview.

DOOMSAYER: Commander Sam, you old fool. You think a little healthy competition between teammates is a bad thing? Maybe that's why my team has gold and your team does not. Your cops and sorcerer can't hold up to my Interplanetary Tag Team Champions nor my invincible creation! Tonight, we will make you wish you had never messed with the Galactic Rebels!

The camera cuts to Royal Overlord and the Royal Family.

OVERLORD: Commander Sam! You stop with your American propaganda. We are a unified kingdom! The Royal Court!

EXO-KING: Enough! I am the king! Commander Sam! Powerhouse! I am the king! Don't you forget it. Royal Overlord. Don't you forget it either.

MCDUFF: Welcome to Saturday Night Invasion! Susan McDuff alongside Eek and you just heard from some of the men who will be in action tonight. In our main event, the Gladiators will face TitanPower. The Galaxian Tag Team Titles will not be on the line. Also, tonight, in a three-man match, Prison Camp teams with Dreadnaught to take on the Galacticops and Mesmer. And Powerhouse will face the Royal Family in a huge grudge match.

EEK: Commander Sam is a typical American politician. Spin. Spin Spin.

MCDUFF: From what I saw, Sam has hit the nail on the head. There are serious issues in the Galactic Rebels and the Royal Court.

EEK: Of course you see that! Media hype for ratings is your job!

MCDUFF: Oh brother. Let's go to our opening match.

THE AWESOME STUDS w/Sweet Thing VS THE NORSE GODS w/Solaris
The match started with a pose-down between Mr. Galaxy and Man-Mountain, with the fans cheering more for Man-Mountain which frustrated Galaxy. Later, Man-Mountain nailed Vanity with a knee lift and made the cover and it was one two and Vanity just kicked out! Lightening tagged in and locked in the NORSE SLEEPER GRIP but Vanity got to the ropes to break the hold. Later, Lightening would again lock in the NORSE SLEEPER GRIP but Mr. Galaxy would break it up and make the save. Vanity would be bloodied but would try to fight back but the Gods did a good job of keeping him in their corner. Finally, the tide would turn and Vanity would score a two count on Lightening with the PULVERIZER. Another PULVERIZER from Vanity and Man-Mountain had to make the save. Mr. Galaxy then came in and the referee put Galaxy back in the corner. Meanwhile, Man-Mountain dropped an elbow onto the back of Vanity's head and rolled Lightening onto Vanity. The ref turned around to make the count, Man-Mountain nailed Mr. Galaxy for good measure and Lightening scored the three count.

MCDUFF: And the Norse Gods pick up the win as they head to Men of Steel and their rematch with Prison Camp for the Interplanetary Tag Team Titles. Oh my goodness gracious! Michael McKinney is here!

MCKINNEY: I am ordering the referee to reverse the decision immediately and name the Awesome Studs the winners! The Norse Gods cheated again! If you don't reverse the decision, you will be fired!

MCDUFF: Wait just a minute. It's VX Board of Directors' member Todd Hall!

HALL: No one is being fired!

MCKINNEY: What? I can fire him and you can't stop me.

HALL: And I can rehire him and you can't stop me.

MCKINNEY: This isn't over, Hall! You'll pay for this!

MCDUFF: Dissension in the board of directors! Let's go to the ring.

ABOVE THE LAW AND COUNT NECROS w/Royal Overlord VS THE SPACE-CROPPERS OF NEPTUNE
The Court team looked like it would get an easy win when Bishop Hell hit Terak with the FLYING CROSS but Renegade made the save. Later, it was Hell with a backbreaker on Renegade and a cover and a two count. Later, Renegade would catch Count Necros in the SPINECRACKER and Terak and The Creeper prevented Hell and Mad Jester from making the save as Necros submitted.

MCDUFF: I'd call that a huge upset!

EEK: This is Exo-King's fault. His insolence and insubordination is causing the entire court to suffer.

MCDUFF: What? Insubordination? How can a king be insubordinate?

POWERHOUSE w/Commander Sam VS THE ROYAL FAMILY w/Royal Overlord
The early advantage belonged to Powerhouse but the Family came back as Exo-King hit a deathjump to score a one count on Earthquake. The Family would then get the advantage on Massif and Killer Queen would land a flying knee drop and make the cover and get the one two kickout just before three. Powerhouse then rallied and Massif would score a two count on Exo-King after landing the VOLCANIC DROP. Earthquake would tag in and Powerhouse gave Exo-King the DOUBLE QUAKE and, as Massif made sure Queen stayed out of the ring, Earthquake scored the one two three on Exo-King.

MCDUFF: A disastrous night for the Royal Court! Royal Overlord is irate! He better be careful! Exo-King could squash him like a grape!

EEK: Exo-King needs to just accept that he got beat and take his punishment like a man!

PRISON CAMP AND DREADNAUGHT w/Doomsayer VS THE GALACTICOPS AND MESMER, MASTER OF THE OCCULT w/Commander Sam
The one-upsmanship started again between Tongsoon and Dreadnaught as Tongsoon insisting on starting the match and then faked to tag Dreadnaught but then tagged Tendron instead. Meanwhile, Sam's team was working together much better and Galactic Punisher gave Tendron the Punisher Smash and made the cover and scored the three count as Dreadnaught and Tongsoon were too busy arguing with each other to make a pin save.
WINNERS OF THE MATCH: THE GALACTICOPS AND MESMER, MASTER OF THE OCCULT

MCDUFF: Right there! The proof is staring at you in the ring! Doomsayer is at a total loss for words. Dreadnaught and Tongsoon are both walking out on Doomsayer and Tendron.

THE GLADIATORS w/The Guardsman VS TITANPOWER w/Trainer Jim
This one appeared to be over quick as the Gladiators gave Lord Nexus the DECAPITATOR but somehow Lord Nexus kicked out before the count of three. The Titans even got a short-lived offensive on Massacre, before Massacre gave Lord Nexus the Massacre Slam, covered, and scored a one count. Brute then tagged in and gave Lord Nexus the Gladiator Piledriver and made the cover and scored a two count. Another DECAPITATOR on Lord Nexus saw all hell break loose as Billy Jo Boxer came in and a wild brawl broke out, giving a bloodied Nexus the ability to land the TITAN DROP on Massacre for a one count. Billy Jo Boxer tagged in and hit Massacre with a knee lift and made the cover and scored a one count. Lord Nexus tagged in and hit the TITAN DROP again and scored a two count on Massacre. With Massacre bleeding, Brute came in but Lord Nexus caught him with a reverse knife-edge and made the cover and scored a one count. Lord Nexus also caught Brute with the TITAN DROP for a one count. Brute came back with the BRUTE FORCE on Boxer for a two count. Then Lord Nexus hit Brute with a dropkick off turnbuckle and made the cover and scored a two count. Then it was Boxer with the Titan Drop on a bloodied Brute and Massacre made the save. Lord Nexus tagged in and gave Brute the TITAN DROP and Massacre again made the save. Another TITAN DROP by Lord Nexus on Brute and The Guardsman made the distraction. Brute came back and hit Boxer with a forearm smash and made the cover and scored a two count. Brute also got a one count with the BRUTE FORCE on Boxer as all four wrestlers were bleeding. Even the referee took a spill in this one and was not there to make the count when Brute covered Lord Nexus following the Runaway Cannon. He was there to make the count when Massacre gave Lord Nexus a falling knee crunch and went for the cover but Boxer made the save. Brute appeared to have it won with the BRUTE FORCE on Nexus but he went after Trainer Jim instead and had to get back into the ring to avoid being counted out. They then gave Lord Nexus one more DECAPITATOR and Massacre made the cover to finally score the one two three.

BRUTE: Well! It's like Massacre said! Beasts of Burden! That's one more thing that makes you inferior to us! We don't take orders from females! At Men of Steel, we will put the Men into Steel! And make men out of you two! But first, tonight, we make men out of Wolf and Battering Ram!

STEVE: We are just two weeks away from Men of Steel '92 which may end up being the most violent night of the year!

ROCKET: Also, tonight, Spike teams with Mayhem to face the Titan Express and the Keepers of the Stone face the Young Allies in a nontitle match. Let's go to the ring.

DREADNAUGHT AND THE COSMIC FORCES w/Doomsayer VS POWERHOUSE AND MESMER, MASTER OF THE OCCULT w/Commander Sam
Tonight's Rebel combination did indeed work much better than when Dreadnaught and Tongsoon were in the ring together. The teams traded advantages and then Matter hit a deathjump on Earthquake and went for the cover and scored a one count. Antimatter would score a two count on Earthquake with the NEGATIVE CHARGE on two separate occasions. The Rebels bloodied Earthquake but struggled to put him away. Somehow, Matter was unable to make Earthquake submit to the Cosmic Clampdown. A third NEGATIVE CHARGE and Antimatter made the cover and one two and somehow Earthquake kicked out! Not only was Earthquake able to hang on and eventually tag out, he came back in and scored a one count on Dreadnaught with the Earthquake Slam. Later in the match. Mesmer put Antimatter down with the BLACKOUT as Powerhouse made sure Matter and Dreadnaught could not make the save.

ROCKET: What a comeback by the FDF. What the hell? The Keepers of the Stone have just come up from behind and knocked Doomsayer out of the air! They are sneaking out this way. Dreadnaught has seen Doomsayer. I don't think he saw what happened! He's checking on Doomsayer. Wait just a minute. The Keepers are in the ring and they just blasted Matter from behind. Now they have Antimatter. The DIVIDE AND CONQUER! Dreadnaught back in the ring and the Keepers are making a hasty retreat!

STEVE: The Keepers of the Stone sending a message before Men of Steel!

THE BEASTS OF BURDEN w/ Amazonia VS THE ROYAL FAMILY w/Royal Overlord
An early advantage for the Beasts quickly disappeared and Exo-King scored a two count on Incredible Badger with the King Power slam. Killer Queen tagged in and quickly applied the CHECKMATE but Badger reached the ropes to break the hold. The match then went back and forth with Badger catching Killer Queen with the BURROW BLAST and one two and kickout! The Beasts then gave Queen the ANDROMEDA DROP and Iron Mane knocked down Exo-King as Badger scored the three count on Killer Queen.

ROCKET: Another loss for the Royal Family.

STEVE: Royal Overlord getting very frustrated with the so-called veterans of the Court.

JUSTICE w/Commander Sam VS BOUNTY HUNTER w/Reynard B. Guile
With the early advantage, Bounty Hunter scores a two count with a karate kick. Later, a knife edge scores Bounty Hunter another two count. A Guile-assisted AMBUSH appears to lock up the win but a protesting Sam distracts the referee. Hunter bloodies Justice outside the ring and the Galacticop has to get back to the ring to avoind being counted out. Another knife edge scores a once count for Bounty Hunter. Another AMBUSH also scores a one count. Justice would finally get in a little bit of offense but would need to be saved by Sam from another AMBUSH. Later, Matador of M83 attacked Bounty Hunter and the ref called for the bell.
WINNER OF THE MATCH AS A RESULT OF A DISQUALIFICATION: BOUNTY HUNTER

ROCKET: Matador with the BULLWHIP! Fans are cheering him just like they did the Keepers earlier attack! And he just flipped them off!

STEVE: A shame! Bounty Hunter was destroying Justice.

Ghengis Khan ruined this match as he came in and gave Vlad Hammer the TWIN THRUST.

The Gladiators went on the attack right away with Mayhem giving Dragonmaster a face smash and making the cover and scoring a one count. Spike and Mayhem never let Pulsar Prime tag in. Spike hit the Head Rammer on Dragonmaster, made the cover, and scored the three count as Mayhem made sure Pulsar Prime could do nothing about it.

ROCKET: The Gladiators in full control. Spike and Mayhem have made a very scary tag team combination.

STEVE: They are Gladiators. Everything they do is scary.

THE GLADIATORS w/The Guardsman VS WOLF AND BATTERING RAM w/Amazonia
Just like Spike and Mayhem before them, Brute and Massacre came out on fire and went right after Wolf, hitting the DECAPITATOR but only scoring a two count.Brute even gave Wolf an old-fashioned one-person Decapitator on the floor but Wolf beat the countout. Massacre tagged back in and gave Wolf the Gladiator Piledriver and made the cover and it was one two kickout! The Gladiators made Wolf bleed and then Brute hit the BRUTE FORCE and went for the pin but Battering Ram pulled the referee out of the ring and the Wolf dropkicked Brute from behind. Quickly, though, the Gladiators were back in control as Brute gave Wolf the Gladiator Piledriver on the floor but again Wolf beat the countout. Finally, the AniMen team got a little something going as Ram scored a two count after nailing Brute with a shoulder tackle. Wolf then caught Brute in the SAVAGE FACE CLAW, drawing blood, but Massacre made the save. Battering Ram then hit the BATTERING RAM on Brute but again Massacre made the save. After Brute missed a running shoulder, Battering Ram hit a shoulder tackle but The Guardsman distracted the referee. The Gladiators came back and hit the DECAPITATOR again on Wolf and Massacre made the cover and it was one two kickout! Are you kidding? Later, Brute nailed Wolf with a forearm smash and made the cover and Ram made the save. Brute later hit the BRUTE FORCE on Wolf and had the pin but it was Amazonia who had the referee distracted. Amazonia even physically get involved to break up a pin on Wolf following another DECAPITATOR. Finally, Massacre gave Wolf THE CLEANSING and made the cover and scored the three count.
