Ok so i'm just hanging on the computer and decided to start a couple topics.. When you sit down to play. Where do you play? Whats the mood like? Play with old wrestling vids on or music? I like to use wrestling on at the same time. Also I find my self sometimes playing over interviews etc. in my minds while out during the day. Kind of like a recap/preview show in my mind

I like to play in my well-lit dining/desk room right in front of my computer. I set my cards, charts, and books out across the lid of my printer and desk surface, and use the computer to type all my results into word. I also like the room (or the entire house if possible) to be as quiet as absolutely possible to allow for as much immersion into the game world as possible. The more I'm immersed in the game, the less I have to think about the real world, and the better I relax.

I play on the floor...I have my cards in two piles...faces and heels...I hold the charts in one hand, and roll with the other. I play in silence...I may have a TV on mute...but I find I get into the 'flow' way better when I'm just focusing on the game. I start to hear the crowd...matches develop a rhythm (fast paced vs. slow/brutal slugfest)...and I can play a match a lot faster than if there other things going on around me.
After I've played all the matches, I take my results (brief description of the match, finisher used...and more if it was a good match or there's 'history' between the guys fighting) and type up a report on the computer...adding in in-ring/backstage promo's and other 'stuff' for storylines and feuds.

As long as I can find time the atmosphere isn't important. Hopefully I'll get into the game and nothing around me will bother me.

I tend to have an idea on the non match segments and will wait to write it outwhen it appears on the card.

I st on my couch and play on a card table in front of the TV. I often will have either WWE 24/7 on (for example today I watched ECW's Living Dangerously PPV from 1999 while playing out the results for the latest edition of the Smackdown brand for my LOW fed) or a baseball game from my Extra Innings package or sometimes Sportscenter on ESPN while I'm playing either COTG or LOW.

Two places: 1) in front of the computer 2) at the kitchen table In both cases I play out my matches and jot down or type in key ring action or ideas for pre/post events. Once I'm done with my matches for the card, I type out the results on the computer using my notes, add all the interview segments, and enter the win/loses/tie data to my records spreadsheet. After that I finalize the base storylines for my next card and set-up the matches. During my matches, I used to have my old Wrestlemania (1-5)DvD's on in the background. It added to the atmosphere and everything...hearing Gino and the Body call the matches and Mean Gene run the interview...helped as I played things through For awhile, I even waited for my wife to go to bed and then turned on ESPN Classic to watch old AWA wrestling (aired at around 1am CST at the time). Lately, I haven't had as much time to play so I've gotten used to just rolling quietly in front of the computer. In fact, I've scared my wife a few times with outbursts of fake crowd noise, wolf howls, or the ringing of the bell ;D Actually, she likes it when I read her the results and the interview segments (at least she acts like she appreciates it One thing I've noticed about the game is that wherever I play, I always have fun

at home i play at one of two places...on my desk, which now faces the TV (in my old house i had to look over my shoulder to see the TV)...really doesn't matter what is on the tube...i like it if wrestling is on, but doesn't have to be...i have found i like watching Sci-Fi channel or just Sci-Fi type shows when playing. The other place is the dining room table...usually there I'll throw on the Bose QC3 headphones with the iPod around my arm and just zone out...the QC3s really let me get away.
I have played in the living room sitting on the floor on the coffee table, but with my skinny rear that gets uncomfortable really fast...
I call the matches in my head (who doesn't) and then jot down the interesting notes...if a match really comes off big time then I'll write all kinds of stuff up on it...all done on paper...if i were to try putting it into a computer during the card i feel that it would get in the way of the flow of the match.
I'll do the recap stuff in my head too even when i am not playing...i would bet that most of us do. i have even made power points for ads (long time ago when i was learning to use powerpoint.)
when i am on the road...i just use the hotel bed unless there is a desk or table in the room big enough to get everything on...the room i am in now i use the bed as the desk barely fits the laptop...

I'm jealous that you get WWW 24/7, i would love to watch old wrestling vids.
