Yesterday in Long Island, it looks like the next big storyline for Chikara kicked off. A number of masked men, many with Ant-like masks jumped the Colony, Quack and Jigsaw. Nothing was said by the assailants, but there are a number of theories.
One of which is that is a retaliation from the Briscoes and other ROH stars for invading their show. ROH has an iPPV and has Chikara talent invited to the show.
Another is that former BDK referee Derek Sabato may be behind this, as he posted a threatening blog last week.
There is also a theory about Bizarro clones...which for many feds would be silly, but in Chikara you never know.

Holy shit. I love it. Great angle! My guess is that they are either rooks (like a Nexus thing) or they are ROH guys under the masks.

Well if any promotion could make this work with an amazingly believable storyline, it's Chikara. They are the promotion that did the Eye of Tyr storyline, had two Lance Steels at the same time because of a time travel mishap, hinted that Vokoder was possibly a robot from the future, had Ultramantis bring Blind Rage back from the dead, and probably some other crazy ones I'm forgetting. And yet it always works for them. I'm looking forward to seeing where they go with this, and hope it's more than just ROH invaders. |

Now Wink Vavasseur's blog post makes sense to me. Can't wait for this weekend's shows to be released by smart mark, I've been waiting!

I like the ROH invasion the best. The problem is one company suffers in the end. Unless it's the work of one particular group, that people from both companies can team up to defeat. Given his actions at the recent ROH Anniversary Show, I could see Kevin Steen being behind this. |

Well the 3 new ants names have finally come out. combatANT, assailANT, and deviANT have been revealed as the associates of the Shard and 17. Hopefully this group lasts a while in Chikara.

I wasn't following Chikara that closely a couple of years ago... but didn't Pinky Sanchez already do a faux ant invasion thing with his Carpenter Ant/Pink Ant gimmick? Anything to suggest that he may even be involved in this new "Swarm?"
