Hey guys, Can anyone tell me anything about the Dimension X Classics set? I can't find any real information about it anywhere? Is it a canon Fed? What year does the set cover? Any help appreciated.

It's pre-2091, we know that because it has Matador and Chaos(as Man of Power). It also has Rack, Ruin, and several others. I don't remember the whole roster, but I have it.

The cards are all from different years. Rack and Ruin along with Matador, Chaos (Man of Power) and Paragon are the same time frame. I believe the cards all tell the year they are associated to (printed on the card).
To play the early years of the CPC as a stand-alone federation you need the set. Especially if you are like me and are neurotic about following the edition as written.

I'm trying to play as close to canon as possible, ThePunisher. I'll pick this up at some point, then.

Yeah, what everyone else said so far is correct. The set focus is on the wrestling organization in Dimension X, which has a history tied very closely to the GWF and various of it's wrestlers (like jmello noted - Chaos, Matador of M83, Rack, and Ruin). It also introduces the player to other figures who eventually show up in both the GWF and CPC (Paragon, Phantast, and Vector One). Although the set does not focus on a particular game year, it gives us a look at what some of the stars were like in their formative years (like ThePunisher noted - the Vector One card is useable for the CPC down the road). It gives the player the opportunity to utilize the cards at Chronos in the GWFF and pit them against superstars of all eras, or the player can create their own history of Dimension X wrestling using these cards as a starting point (I believe that there are a handful of promoter-made AU sets delving into the history of Dimension X as well). It's up to the Promoter ;D Of course, as with everything COTG, the options are limitless. I had a lot of fun with this set!
