The AWA had such a vast territory to cover, especially when it was doing its own expansion in the '80s, that it's not quite the same animal as your average territory--it had several big arenas like the WW(W)F but no real equivalent to MSG. The closest would be the Rosemont Horizon outside Chicago, followed in no particular order by the Met Center in Minneapolis, the St. Paul Civic Center, and in the '80s the Cow Palace (San Fran), Salt Palace (Salt Lake City), and Winnipeg Arena. although smaller in size compared to the places mentioned above, the now demolished Showboat casino here in Las Vegas was also another major home for the AWA. The Showboat was the home for the AWA's televised shows in the 1980s on ESPN.
