Baseball star Jose Conseco (47) is gearing up for another MMA fight, but this time, he may have bitten off more than he can chew. According to the Chicago Tribune, Conseco’s next opponent will be none other than NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal.
After weeks of Canseco calling out Shaq (40) on Twitter and challenging him to an MMA fight, Shaq apparently had enough. During a phone interview on Tuesday, Shaq told the Reuters news service:
“I challenged him a long time ago. If he wants it done, he knows where to find me.”
Regarding Conseco’s track record of using banned substances, Shaq said:
“He can be high off whatever, and I’ll be high off Frosted Flakes.”
Canseco responded to Shaq’s comments on Thursday and tweeted, “I am going to fight shaq.”
No specifics have been announced yet, but you can bet there’s a promoter out there willing to get in on the drawing power of a Conseco vs. Shaq fight.
