I am as well. I'm guessing they'll clamp at least one match to the top finishers. Should be fun even if Hogan's Leg Drop will probably be rated too low (whether you like it or not, it was sold as the big move for so many years)

It wasn't enough that Hogan would no sell the other guys finisher...after Hulking Up, he rubbed it in even further by making it look easy.

I always thought Hogan's Leg Drop was an awesome finisher, one of the best ever. Never understood the crowd who said it looked bad, or didn't look like a legit finisher.
Watching that video, it's no wonder HH has such bad hip problems. He must have landed on that right hip a million times in his career. For a 300 lb. man, that's going to take it's toll.
I think for a long time, Hogan earned the right to "make it look easy". More than anyone before (and arguably after), Hogan literally was THE MAN. As a kid, it was probably right around Wrestlemania 4 that I started thinking Hogan was losing it, getting older and looking older. It was then when I started rooting against him, wanting new guys to win the belt. It's actually unreal he is STILL around in 2012.

Sure, selling a move as big time can do a lot for you, but if the move doesn't look big time to compliment thesell, well, then IMO you're pretty much screwed.

I guess I agree with you on the fact that Hogan earned the right to 'make it look easy', but Hogan has done so much in recent years to ruin his reputation, not to mention all the retired guys coming out of the woodwork to bury him. The guy really does sound like he was/is an ego maniac a-hole. For me it absolutely shades everything he ever did. I never thought Hogan was that great in the ring to begin with. I acknowledge the guy made tons of money and transcended the business and took it to the next level, but all of that is over now. Those days are long gone and all that is left is the matches, and well, those don't stand too well on their own. Some of his work does, but the vast majority doesn't. Hogan was iconic for his time and remains one of the best known wrestlers the business has ever had and one of it's biggest money-makers. During his peek he was pro-wrestling. No one can take that away from him. For that he deserves respect. But his work rate, at times, bordered on lazy, and all the stuff he has done recently to help destroy the only viable competition to the WWE is terrible and for those things Hogan should be mocked.

Oh there's been worse than the leg drop and in the early years, it was done quite well. It's only when Hogan's hip gave out on him that it started looking lousy. It's also just how things have evolved. Once the claw hold was considered a vicious top finisher, now people see it as a glorified temple massage.

IMO, the Piledriver should be top 10. No matter the era, the Piledriver is a big time finishing move. Today the Piledriver is overlooked, especially with all the variations, but it's one of those moves that will always be considered brutal. Pretty much any move that involves the opponent being droped on his head is brutal. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Ultimate Warrior's Splash on there either. If you're going to include Hogan's Legdrop, Warrior's Splash needs to be on there as well.

I know it won't be on there, because he never worked for WWE, but Petey Williams' Canadian Destroyer was the coolest looking finisher I've ever seen. I'm sure this DVD will be full of crap like Mr. Socko or the Nasty Boys' pit stop. I'll still check it out though, I'm also curious to see how a 3 disc set will be. I bet Disc 1 will be a documentary and discs 2 & 3 matches. This seems to be the format for most of their stuff anymore.
As for Hogan's leg drop, it was always paired with the big boot and the two combined make his finisher imo. I can't stand to watch him anymore, but when I was a kid he was king. Just like now my boys love John Cena and his F-U, I mean Attitude Adjustment, I mean fireman's carry into a- I dunno, a shrug slam?
