Fozzy has some European dates for June, a new album this summer, and a late summer/fall tour lined up so I think this is kayfabe. Jericho likes dramatic exits, like when he was 'fired' before. Watch his DVD and he says the same thing, when he goes he doesn't want to be cheered off, he wants to be dragged out and humiliated.

I don't think that is the case here. Apparently, Brazil has very strict laws against defamation of their flag and they were ready to arrest Jericho unless he apologized to the crowd.

But yet the WWE had the whole Austin/Canadian Flag defamation...just saying it could be a worked angle.

But yet the WWE had the whole Austin/Canadian Flag defamation...just saying it could be a worked angle. Defaming the Canadian Flag is not illegal. Nobody would be arrested for doing that. WWE is not going to do an angle that would require one of it's stars to violate the law.

Jericho suspension is 30 days, the article was changed at some point today. So I don't think this is the way to get him off TV for his summer Fozzy tour

It's hard to say with WWE. If it is storyline then it's genius, since they were starting a feud with Jericho and Orton and this happens out of the blue. It's hard to dismiss though, mostly because Fozzy has several dates in Europe all through June, and being a 30 suspension that covers that window. On the other hand, this was probably the main event of the show and it would be a shitty way to close the show. Fozzy's other dates aren't until August and September for a U.S. tour, if he gets suspended again around then, then it will be obvious. Either way, I think it's safe to say that Jericho won't ever wrestle in Brazil again.

I think there could have been better ways of getting him freed up for any Fozzy tours if it's a work? I can't see this as an WWE story angle here. Pretty stupid thing for Jericho to do, and I don't think it's above him to do something stupid anyways.
