Last week, 2 days before I attended PWG's Death to All But Metal show there, a live WWI howitzer shell was discovered at American Legion Hall 308 which is where PWG runs all their shows (other than the Kurt Russellreunions:)

RESEDA - A Los Angeles Police Department bomb squad removed and blew up a World War I-era howitzer shell found in the attic of an American Legion Post in Reseda, police said today.
The shell, which was originally reported by police as a "suspicious package," was found about 2:35 p.m. Wednesday under the floorboards in the attic of the legion post number 308 located in the 7300 block of Canby Avenue, one block north of Sherman Way, said Lt. Robert Davis of the Los Angeles Police Department's West Valley Station.
"We just followed standard protocol which is to have the bomb squad come out and check out the shell," he said.
An explosive ordinance detail from the Marine base at Camp Pendleton came to the scene and determined the shell was indeed live, said West Valley Station Sgt. Mike Patriquin.
Police had no idea how the shell, which was around 100 years, ended up in the legion post attic, he said.
"They were cleaning up when they found it," Patriquin said.
The shell was removed around 11 p.m. Wednesday and blown up an hour later in a safe location near the beach in the West Los Angeles patrol area, he said.
I am not sure if anyone knows if that nearly 100 years old live howitzer shell has been inside the American Legion Hall during past PWG shows or not.
