Some of you have probably already seen this since this ESPN article linked below is two months old. It compares the NBA to the WWE. I think some of their comparisons are interesting and some of them are silly (I don't agree with their Greg Oden/Edge comparison for example.) these are some of the WWE/NBA comparisons the ESPN article linked below makes: David Stern= Vince McMahon LeBron James = John Cena Dwayne Wade = CM Punk Dwight Howard = Mark Henry Carmelo Anthony = Triple H Kobe Bryant= Ric Flair Tim Duncan= Undertaker Steve Nash= Bret Hart Dirk Nowitzki= The Miz Jeremy Lin= Daniel Bryan Metta World Peace= Macho Man Randy Savage Blake Griffin = Dolph Ziggler Jason Kidd= Shawn Michaels Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook= The Rockers Michael Jordan= The Rock Shaquille O'Neal= Andre the Giant Andrew Bynum= Brock Lesnar JaVale McGee= The Big Show Derrick Rose= Chris Jericho Kevin Love= Randy Orton Magic Johnson= Stone Cold Steve Austin Greg Oden= Edge Anthony Davis= Dean Ambrose Spike Lee= Jimmy Hart www.grantland.com/story/_/id/7861414/david-stern-vince-mcmahon-lebron-james-john-cena-wwe-guide-nba

It's a good article, but I hate your slip up of James=Jordan, when it is James=Cena. James will never live up to Jordan, much as Cena's character will never live up to Hogan's hey day.

I would have put LBJ=Hogan. In Cleveland, he quickly became the best (arguably) and then he went to Miami and joined the nWo with Bosh and Wade and became a super heel. Now he is on the path to trying to redeem himself.

You left out the Boston Celtics as the nWo... although that was the biggest stretch of the article since the nWo analogy would have meant Paul Pierce filling in the role of Hollywood Hogan. I'm not sure anyone liked that one..
Lebron James was Cena because as polarizing as he is among the fans, Lebron also gets overlooked for the amount of charity work that he does in the offseason - much like Cena does work with the Make a Wish Foundation.
