Well one of the Patriots anyways. Never seen him as Gunn though, so it's nice.

I've personally never seen Johnny Gunn wrestle, either as Johnny Gunn or the "new" Patriot, but I'll venture to guess that Johnny will never be as good as the Patriot as the original Patriot, Del "formerly known in the AWA as the Trooper" Wilkes.

Gunn wrestled in WCW in 1994 and often tagged with "Z-Man" Tom Zenk. The two had limited success. Gunn also had a run in the WWF as Salvatore Sincere around 96' and was barely mid-card status. It wasn't much long after that that I saw him in the East Coast Indies. I used to go to a few MEWF and MCW cards and he was a regular there. He then started using his real name - Tom Brandi. I've read conflicting stories about the Patriot's gimmick. Brandi claims he paid Wilkes to use it while Wilkes has stated that he hasn't spoken with Brandi since 1996 and hasn't given permission of received any money.

I didn't recognize that was Tom "Salvatore Sincere" Brandi. The Johnny Gunn name threw me.
