TNA has been GREAT these last few months. For the first time in 8 years i've been watching a weekly wrestling program, enjoying it, and actually looking forward to it. (I've followed along with both feds so I know whats happening, and until lately havent been interested enough to watch).
Also for the first time since I was a kid I jumped out of my seat and yelled 'Yes!" when Ares pinned Roode for the Championship at Destination X. Fantastic match with great excitement, and I wasn't sure who would win, but was hoping for and thought it might be Ares.
I'm not wild about the new X-Division Champion either, but meh. Seriously, after Austin Ares since last Sept, whoever got the belt would be a disappointment to me.
Lets hope TNA keeps things going well like the past few months. For the first time since the "Monday Night Wars" I actually care about wrestling. The WWE had all but killed my interest in it and TNA was quite bad until lately, and as others have pointed out - its since they got rid of that Pro Wrestling Cancer Vince Russo.
What I like about TNA is that it is actually about the WRESTLING, for the most part, unlike the WWE (Wrestlings WORST Entertainment). While TNA does have some silly/stupid stories, its nowhere near as awful or predictable as WWE (HHH vs. Lesnar at Summerslam... what a surprise...) AJ as the referee for the Punk vs. Bryan match - LAME!!!! Just let those two guys wrestle for petes sake! Let the WRESTLING be the story, not some stupid bimbo.
I also actually like the TNA womens wrestling because they actually wrestle (or try to)! I always found the WWE Womens wrestling to be a joke for the most part (although I have not watched any recently).
I'm just so thankful that TNA has rejuvenated my love of Pro Wrestling, because for so long i've missed it and given up on WWE.
THANKS TNA!!!

I was not into wrestling from 2002 through late 2005, but TNΛ moving to Spike TV caught my eye and interest in pro wrestling once again. I've been off and on with both TNΛ and WWE since 2007, but these last several months TNΛ once again has my interest. I ordered Destination X on Sunday which is my first pay-per-view since 2006 and it was a Solid event. I agree Zema Ion winning the X-Division Belt is a disappointment, but we'll see what unfolds now. Austin Aries winning the World Heavyweight Belt was a great moment and both he and Roode put on a great match. In the end TNΛ has been fun & entertaining of late and it'll be interesting to see whats next...

Hate to be "that guy" but I think I am. I had interest in this show because of all the untapped Indy talent that had packed into it, namely guys we're seeing in our FG Indy games (Jigsaw, Scorpio Sky). In the end they put the belt on the most lame and uninteresting one of the bunch, and a guy who's been floating around doing nothing for months in TNA. Uhg. The majority seem to agree with that. Austin Aries winning the belt is the thing that has everyone so excited. I don't get it. I like the guy. I think he's good for TNA but this whole thing seems so thrown together at the last minute. I admit I don't watch TNA, but I follow all feds, and best I can tell, Aries had barely broken the seal of the X Division when he was plucked out of seemingly nowhere to headline this card with Roode. He had one, short run with Bubba Ray that didn't seem to generate much buzz at all. If he had any classic X Division title defenses/feuds I missed them all. In short, he wasn't ready to win the TNA Title. Not even close. It really seems like the IWC is lapping this up because an IWC darling was hot-shotted the belt. I believe an ending where Roode hangs onto the belt by the skin of his teeth would have done wonders for TNA long term. For one, now you have a baby face who's character can grow as he chases the heel champion. Two, the new stipulation where the X-Div champ can give up the belt looks even more risk/reward by Aries just coming up empty. Now you have a real strong message that dropping that belt earns you a title shot, but it's not automatic. I guess because WWE has always had the MITB winner win the belt TNA was obviously just gonna do that too. So, I don't get it at all. No one is happy with the new X Div champ and the luster of an IWC darling "making history" was prematurely blown like it was TNA prom night. They also ruined Roodes increasingly impressive title reign. Wow, he feuded with Sting, lost most of those matches anyways, then dropped the belt the first time an X division wrestler challenged him. Now he looks like a fluke champ rather than someone who was building himself up as a true no.1 heel in the co. Would it have killed TNA to drag this thing out a little longer instead of booking by the seat of their pants just a couple weeks ago and hot-shotting the belt on a guy who's barely made his mark in the company? I guess.

Swarm - one good thing that I immediately see comes out of this is that a former fan who loved wrestling for years is back watching it again.
I admit that I have been that guy in the past who criticized the current product, and because of that stopped watching, but if this is the event that gets CEO back into watching on a regular basis, then good for him.
I am hoping for the next thing to suck me back in regularly.

I won't jump on the TNA bandwagon quite yet, but I will say this, I do like the direction of having the X Division back! It's a step in the right direction and hopefully they can build on that instead of what they have been doing the past couple years.

Welcome back to watching and liking wrestling CEO. Personally I like what is going on in WWE with Bryan, Punk and AJ but to each their own.
Now as far as Swarms points, Aries has been extremely over since arriving in TNA again. The guy has charisma, can work the mic and is real good in the ring. He did not have many great matches or feuds while champion but that was mostly due to a weak X Division. I am hoping they are serious about building it up. But seeing as no sign of Ion since he won I am having my doubts.
I think having Aries win did a couple things. First revolves around the stipulation for turning the belt in for a World title shot. If he lost as the 1st one, it would make it seem not worth the risk to an X Division champ. I will be fine if next year the champ does not win the World title but this year he had to. It now makes the belt more meaningful. It also does something officially that has been unofficial for awhile and that is show how the secondary title can lead to the World title. The 2nd thing Aries win does is put some doubt into the sure thing of the ME for BFG. Soon as the BFGS started everyone was anticipating Roode vs Storm with Storm winning the belt. While it might still happen there are now numerous ways this thing could play out. And cause of this, like CEO, I am excited about watching Impact again.
Oh and I am hoping beyond reality that the person behind Aces and 8s would turn out to be a returning Awesome Kong.
