CHIKARA GEKIDO 6 PACK
GEKIDO
The mysterious Gekido first appeared at an event and attacked Mike Quackenbush, Jigsaw and the Colony. It was later discovered that the Gekido had issues with the success of Chikara and wanted to receive equal treatment as the stars of the Chikara roster despite not putting in their dues. The word Gekido translates to “rage” in Japanese, and embodies the team’s style to a tee. All members of the GEKIDO may start off the match with the Gekido Ambush sneak attack on their opponents.
17
The presumed leader of the group has targeted Mike Quackenbush. While 17 claims to have never met Mike Quackenbush, he has studied under many of his same trainers and has perfected many of Quack’s own moves. He has also stated that he knows 17 forgotten holds in the history of wrestling, and wants to take out members of the Chikara roster with these moves.
Cross Arm Breaker – A step over leg scissors and arm bar that causes hyper extension of the shoulder and elbow. 17 uses this move to cause permanent injury to his opponents.
Lightening Lock Beta – An inverted cloverleaf leg lock, originally perfected by Mike Quackenbush.
QUACKENDRIVER 3 – Spinning modified fisherman driver developed by Mike Quackenbush.
The Shard
The Shard was a former classmate of Jigsaw at wrestling school, but when Jigsaw left for the Chikara Wrestle Factory, The Shard decided not to go with him. Seeing the success that Jigsaw has enjoyed in the past 10 years has made The Shard extremely bitter, believing that Jigsaw’s success rightfully belongs to him.
Jig ‘N’ Tonic – Cradle belly to back piledriver/ pinning combo used by Jigsaw.
SHARD SUPERKICK – a devastating backwards superkick to the face of the opponent.
THE SWARM
The other members of the Gekido are doppelgangers of the most popular of trio of tecnicos in Chikara, The Colony. The members of the Swarm were discovered to be former students in the Chikara Wrestle Factory that couldn’t cut it at the school, and are no bitter at the success of the students that have graduated. The members of the Swarm are ruthless, and while they do show some skill in pulling off moves they learned in the Wrestle Factory, many times they will resort to underhanded tactics. All members of the Swarm may attempt the Mask Remover, where they risk disqualification in removing one of their opponents’ masks. But the Swarm doesn't care! To them, unmasking an opponent is a major victory! The risk is worth it to the Swarm, who view showing the world their opponent’s face a bigger win than any pinfall or submission.
assailANT
Crooked Clover – A modified version of the Cloverleaf leg lock used by Green Ant.
SPIKE PILEDRIVER – A piledriver aided by a second member of the Swarm grabbing the opponent’s feet and driving him into the mat with greater force.
SWARM SKULL KICKS – In trios matches the Swarm looks to finish matches with a move that includes assailANT using his strength to hold the opponent in hybrid bear hug/backbreaker while deviANT and combantANT each deliver awesome enzuiguri's to each side of the opponents head simultaneously!
combatANT
Saluting Headbutt – A diving headbutt from the ropes in mockery of the move also done by Solider Ant.
TKO – Fireman’s carry into a stunner, as used by Solider Ant.
deviANT
Triple Clotheslines – A barrage of successive clotheslines by all members of the Swarm to the opponent in the corner.
SPIKE PILEDRIVER – A piledriver aided by a second member of the Swarm grabbing the opponent’s feet and driving him into the mat with greater force.
GAVIN LOUDSPEAKER
The Master of Ceremonies for all Chikara shows is Wrestling’s Only Rock and Roll Ring Announcer, Gavin Loudspeaker. He is always enthusiastic, when announcing wrestlers to the ring or behind the mic at the Commentating Station. Gavin is a man of many talents, as he shows off hosting the Podcast A Go Go and singing songs before many of the live events. Nothing gets Gavin more excited than when it’s time for the MMM-MAIN EVENT OF THE EVENING! Before the main event of a Chikara show, roll two dice and look to see how the match is affected.
