TMZ Reporter Says Kharma Has Been Released By WWE
Amidst rumors that WWE released Kharma after their official Twitter feed moved her profile to its list of Alumni on Thursday, TMZ.com reporter Ryan Satin says she has been let go by the sports entertainment organization.
He stated on Twitter Thursday evening, "A source close to Kharma tells me the rumors are true and she was indeed released from WWE today. Dumbest WWE release in SOOO LONG!!!"
The accomplished grappler addressed rumors of her WWE demise via Twitter earlier, writing, "Getting a flood of dm’s. I guess the cat’s out of the bag. Yes. I have been officially promoted to the alumni section of the WWE roster."
Her profile, however, remains listed in the Raw talent index on WWE.com.
Kharma, whose real name is Kia Michelle Stevens, signed a contract with WWE in December of 2010 and made her debut on May 1, 2011 at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view as she decimated Michelle McCool. Weeks later, Kharma spoke for the first time on television to reveal she was pregnant and thus forced to take a leave of absence from the organization. Stevens made a surprise return in January as the twenty-first entrant in the Royal Rumble Match and subsequently announced to TMZ.com that she had given birth to a baby boy named Jamie on December 31, 2011. She then admitted in March that the child died before she could give birth and had lied due to her emotional state at the time.

He wrote on Twitter Thursday evening, "A source close to Kharma tells me the rumors are true and she was indeed released from WWE today. Dumbest WWE release in SOOO LONG!!!"
Wrestling Observer editor Dave Meltzer addressed Satin's claim on the F4WOnline.com message forum and stated that WWE had planned to finalize her termination on Friday. However, he speculates the organization may switch course due to the news prematurely surfacing online—similarly to how they briefly reinstated Florida Championship Wrestling tapings in March to save face after news leaked prematurely that they were ending and because they weren't ready to announce the changes to NXT.
"I don't want to say anything, because it's WWE and they change their minds if stuff gets out," he wrote. "But she was to be released tomorrow, and they're pissed somebody screwed up and it got out a day early."
Kharma is currently listed as a member of the active roster on WWE.com, but as a former Superstar on the organization's Twitter account.

Thats awful. Was so looking forward to seeing her on WWE TV. I guess we get Sara Del Rey soon, which is nice...but wanted to see those 2 clash.

There's more to this story and it will eventually come out. Can't blame WWE for not wanting to keep paying someone who never wrestled/wrestles. I wonder if she is having a hard time dealing with the wanting a baby, losing a baby and all that comes with all of that, understandably. The dirt sheets have been making sound like she could pop up at any moment, but maybe that's not the case at all. Just a guess.

It's probably for the best. I can't even imagine what she's going through. She should take all the time she needs and the WWE is right to let her go.
