So this is the name of the Chikara show in Indy during Gencon weekend. Will FG have a presence there? Will any of you guys be there?
I almost certainly will be!

I'm leaning towards it. If so, we'll have to meet up at some point though not surprisingly I'll mostly be at Gen Con, I'll be over there though after the dealer hall closes.

DaytonDave may be making it too. I'll have on my Monolith t-shirt and should be there fairly early.

Just got home and it was a blast. If you've never been to a Chikara card and get the chance, GO! Results 1. Batiri beat The Swarm with a double team on Soldier Ant. Crowd was chanting POW among other things. After the match, The Swarm complained that Soldier Ant was at fault which caused the crowd to chant not his fault. 2. Tim Donst beat Saturyne. Saturyne has some really awesome moves. Great moment when Saturyne directed the front row to toss Donst (who seems to be channeling Raven a bit) back into the ring. Donst locked in a painful submission to win. 3. Mysterious and Handsome Stranger beat Lancelot Bravado with a Spinning Toe Hold. Lots of comedy here, including a point where Lancelot was looking in the bag and suddenly the bag was around his head. Stranger finally locked in the toe hold a few times to get a submission to the crowd's delight. 4. 17 and The Shard beat Quackensaw by disqualification when Quackenbush was disqualified for excessive violence. Quack wiped out Shard with a move to the floor and just tore 17 apart. Jigsaw was complaining about what Quack was doing but the crowd was totally into it. (Indy is bloodthirsty) Intermission time let us meet various wrestlers. Talked to Saturyne first and she's a doll. Then I talked to the Colony (no Soldier Ant sadly), and after that met several others. Told each I was a Filsinger Chikara fan and each who had a card was very proud of it. Kobald was talking about hearing his card was a superstar and I said...well you could beat Great Iron which he responded was how it should be. One thing that struck me is how short the Batiri are. Kobald I think is the tallest, and I was at least 2-3 inches taller than him and I'm only 5'10. 5. Spectral Envoy beat Arik Cannon and Darin Corbin. Corbin and Cannon were surprisingly over here. Great match including a fantastic slow motion sequence. Black rolled up Corbin for the pinfall I believe. 6. Eddie Kingston beat Harlem Bravado. Justin Bieber and Grandma's Boy chants for Harlem. Eddie had the crowd chanting including at one point We'll Say Anything. So Harlem tried to get them to chant for him and the crowd just booed. IT was hilarious but a surprisingly competitive match which Eddie finally took with the Backfist to the Future. 7. The Colony and 3.0 finally put away Team FIST, Dunkerton and Ophidian (substituting for Johnny Gargano who had a family issue) End of the match came when Ophidian accidentally sprayed Dunkerton taking both of them out, and Icarus got caught by 3.0 with a double team for the pin. There's too much comedy I don't want to spoil in this match, but you should really see it. 8. Mr. Touchdown became the new Young Lion's Champ by pinning ACH with a top rope power bomb. I was surprised it was clean. ACH was way over. Chikara should really think about signing him. He would fit in perfectly. I had to leave before any official presentation but it was a great card. Caught Quack (and some other wrestlers) as I was leaving and told him that I hoped they came back and he seemed positive about it. So I look forward to their return. Thanks to DD and JR for attending. Hope everything's cool JR as you disappeared on us at some point.

I had a fantastic time. The kids and I got there 2 hours early and we're second in line. We sat front row and the experience was the best ever!
Soldier Ant was my favorite of the night, but there were several memorable spots.
Chuck Taylor hugged me and my daughter when he landed in her seat next to us. Icarus stole my other daughters seat, because she was standing up. She literally sat on him, funny as could be. Our row was crashed into during several matches, included the Donst roll back in, which I didn't participate due to the kids. We got our picture taken with Jakub in the ring and Fire Ant in the lobby. Jack(Gavin) let my youngest daughter draw the raffle winner and both my daughters got to drum roll on the mat to hype up the main event.
A completely awesome experience and the most fun I've ever had at a live show!

Totally saw you yesterday Jmello. Even my wife right now is saying how cute your daughters were.
My wife, buddy, and I made the 3 hour drive to Ring of Wax. Just a great show. I think it was the most entertaining wrestling show I've been to in at least 4 years.
I loved the show top to bottom but for whatever reason I just can't get into Eddie Kingston. Easily the worst match of the show and it was a stellar show!

I enjoyed the show...my daughter however was in on EVERY chant...then during intermission had a dance off with Ophidian. She is a RABID Chikara fan.
