Good fight this weekend. Amir Khan is a solid all around boxer, and was dominating the first 3 rounds, until Garcia connected with a HARD left hook late in the 3rd. Going into Round 4, Khan tried to gut it out, but in classic style, survival mode only lasted for so long!
Amir Khan TKO'd in the 4th Round

LWPD,
I am a huge boxing fan. Thanks for posting this. In my opinion, Khan fights an exciting style that is fun to watch. I think he could possibly win a rematch against Garcia. However, I could just as easily see Garcia knocking him silly again if they go that route.
Khan has P4P attributes, but I think his chin is suspect.
you?

My take on Amir Khan is that's he's a great athlete, former Olympic silver medalist, highly marketable (in the UK and Pakistan) who still has one of the best skill sets in the sport, but probably lacks the chin to compete at the top level. He's been at this since age 11, that's going on 14 years now. That's a lot of cumulative damage. The talent is there, but the jaw may no longer be able. It's a sad reality to have to face down for any great fighter in combat sports. In MMA a good example is Chuck Liddell, who can still strike at the highest level, but no longer has a chin capable of taking damage. Father time eventually gets us all.

I am glad we agree and thanks for agreeing with my take. Not to hijack, but I am also starting to wonder about the chin of Victor Ortiz too. Maybe I did not believe, but if he would have fought Alverez in September, Canelo would have creamed him. Now we are getting Canelo vs. Lopez. I think Lopez but I don't think he can beat Alvarez. Unless I am getting sucked in to Canelo's hype.
