I just bought myself a ticket to the Royal Rumble next door in Phoenix next January!
I have been to Wrestlemania, I have been to No Way Out/Elimination Chamber, and I am about to go to my 3rd straight Summerslam next month, but I never got to go to the Royal Rumble before which is one of my favorite PPVs.
I am sitting 9 rows up from the floor on the opposite side of the ring from the stage. If anyone also wants to go, the pre-sale password is "RUMBLE"
The past 3 years I have spent that weekend in January at Wrestle Reunion in Los Angeles. But with Wrestle Reunion currently not planning any more conventions anytime soon, I'm instead going to the Rumble itself that weekend.
Since the WWE is going to be in the area next January, I wish they would have the Royal Rumble instead here in Las Vegas as Phoenix just got Money in the Bank two days ago and I think the Rumble theme fits much better with Las Vegas. But is OK as it is cheap and easy for me to fly between Las Vegas and Phoenix (and fast too- in January, since Arizona does not practice Day Light's Savings Time, it's only about a 5 minute flight from Phoenix to Las Vegas.)

Tonight, John Cena was the first name announced for the Royal Rumble.
Next month I am spending 3 days in Phoenix for the Royal Rumble- my first time in Phoenix since I spent 3-4 days there back in 2010 during Wrestlemania 26 weekend. I know I am finally going to Dan Majerle's restaurant for a meal, but I am not sure what else I will do in Phoenix that weekend (I have already been in that city multiple times before.)

Way to go, Vegas! For my money, The Royal Rumble is a can't miss PPV. It has the single strongest built-in concept for being unique, and it is a match that always delivers. Even though I am strongly opposed to The Rock getting a title shot (you left the business to become A-list Hollywood, and now you're back slumming between film schedule), it is still going to be a great event.
And you get to see it live.
I am jealous of you. Color me green!

Wade Barratt for the rumble anyone ? Given the title he won on the pre-taped RAW last night, I would guess not.

Got to Phoenix last night (it was raining when my plane landed and it has been raining all day too.)
Last night in Scottsdale I went to a Championship Wrestling from Arizona (CWFA) show which in addition to their regulars included guests Chris Masters, Shelton Benjamin, Carlito (ironically I was actually at the RAW in Phoenix back in June 2005 the night Carlito got drafted to RAW and then immediately defeated Benjamin for the Intercontinental Championship,) the Honkytonk Man, and The Hurricane.
I got my Navajo Warrior card signed and my Shelton Benjamin card signed last night. Chris Masters also signed my picture of him giving me the MASTERLOCK last summer before a CWFH show at the Pappy Pineda Dome.
Hawaiian Lion was there too but, although I waited a little while after the show ended hoping to ask him to sign my copy of his card, I didn't see him. But with Navajo Warrior signing my card last night, I now just need to get my Hawaiian Lion, Adam Pearce, and Johnny Yuma cards signed from last year's CWFH set.
Looking forward to the Royal Rumble tomorrow!

Although I thought the Rumble was really predictable, I had a good time last night. But I wish I hadn't drank as much before the show started (I ran into someone I know from going to PWG at the Tilted Kilt across the street from the venue and he bought me some shots which I normally don't drink.) Now I'm about to leave in less than an hour to attend RAW in Las Vegas tonight.
