Weber to Flyers WOW

Reports: Shea Weber signs 14-year offer sheet from Flyers. Holy crap fans. After whiffing on early big name FA's many Wing fans were convinced the team would rebound by signing Weber (mostly thanks to our arrogant local media who still parade around like delusional, ego maniacal Wing nuts giving the fan base false hope). Instead he's going to Philly where they still play real hockey. Weber is one of my favorite players in the NHL. I wanted him to stay with the Preds but you can't blame him for jumping ship to one of the greatest organizations in NHL history. Good for him. Already can't wait for next season. It's been awhile since vie been able to say that about the NHL.

Preds have 7 days to match (I don't think they will) and if they don't they reportably get 4 1st round draft picks as compensation. Not bad.

Webers going nowhere but the nearest nashville bank. After losing Suter theyre a nonfactor if they dont match. Thedraft picks arent enough to compensate for losing a top 3 dman in the nhl. Even with this being ridiculously front loaded i think nashville finds a way to make it work.
