Some good stuff going here, nice showing by Rose even if was a draw against Race, and looking forward to Kangaroos vs Red Pepper.

Great to see the NWF back in action!
The Fabulous Kangaroos amazing run continues with an impressive victory over the Masked Superstar and Big John Studd (the Masked Superstars were actually the ones to finally end a 20 month tag title reign by the Kangaroos in my fed, so IMO that is definitely a major NWF victory for the Kangaroos.)
For the next show, I am picking Rogers to retain over Johnny Valentine and Ted DiBiase to defeat Terry Gordy for the title shot against Dr. Death. I am also looking forward to seeing how the Crusaders-Mongols feud transpires in the NWF.
Once again, it is great to see NWF fed results once again and it really makes me want to get back to my own LOW fed (but that probably won't happen until January as I am currently working on getting caught up in my GWF fed in time for the December release of 2127.)

Card #434 – 05/06/2011 Marion County Recreation Center – Fairmont, WV
It’s a warm spring evening and the fans in Fairmont are ready for some NWF wrestling action! We’ve got the Crusaders facing off against the Mongols, the Hennigs against the Blonde Bombers, Pepper Gomez tackling Nick Bockwinkel, and a #1 Contender Match with Ted DiBiase and Terry Gordy! You main event features a STEEL BELT CLASH rematch with “Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers defending against Johnny Valentine! Let’s get to the action…
1. S.D. Jones b Victor Mercado Philadelphia’s Favorite Son was back in action, easily winning the opener over sickly looking Mercado with a boxing shuffle and KO punch.
2. Magnum T.A. b Danny Doring This was Magnum’s longest match to date, but it was still over quickly when he planted Dastardly Danny with a Belly to Belly Suplex to remain undefeated. The fans have really taken to Magnum’s style and explosive offense.
3. Crusaders dq Mongols Although these teams have both been in the area a while, they have met only twice before. The first was a high profile bout at SUPERBOWL 7 in December 2009 and the second was a couple of months later in 2010. The Crusaders won both, but came into this match having dropped five of their last six decisions while the Mongols were red hot. Unfortunately, this one was over just moments after the opening bell rang. Bepo took his chains and attacked Crusader #1 and was immediately disqualified. The Crusaders fought off the attack, and were looking for a rematch against Sir Oliver Humperdink’s savage Croatian duo.
4. Bob Roop b Boris Zhukov Roop is facing an uphill battle against the Russians while tag partner Bob Orton, Jr. is on the mend. Despite outclassing Zhukov in the ring, Roop had to keep an eye on “Pretty Boy” Larry Sharpe at ringside. Even with the deck stacked against him, Roop still managed to come out on top. The former NWF Champ pinned Zhukov with a Shoulder Breaker after knocking Sharpe off the apron.
5. Larry & Curt Hennig b Blonde Bombers The Bombers and Hennigs squared off for the first time in tag action. There were a lot of hard hitting exchanges the entire bout. Red Pepper could be seen watching from the aisle near the locker room. After a long, evenly fought match, Rose was momentarily distracted by Heenan which allowed Larry to hit him with The Axe and score the pinfall.
6. Pepper Gomez b Nick Bockwinkel With Stevens and Rose back in the dressing room after the last bout, Bockwinkel was on his own against Gomez. In a show of sportsmanship, Gomez had Red Bastien, who was acting as his second, leave ringside as well. The two locked horns in what turned out to be a scientific encounter where Gomez picked up the victory using the Mexican Leap. Although the two didn’t break any rules during the bout, Bockwinkel wouldn’t shake hands after the match.
7. Brad & Brian Armstrong b Kip Cornette & Bobby Eaton The Armstrong brothers were anxious to get after Jim Cornette’s duo, but Kip refused to start the match against Brian. Good match with a racquet shot by Jimmy almost spelling the end for Brian, but Brad made the big save. Brad turned up the heat on Beautiful Bobby, and Brian finished him off with a Pump Handle Slam.
8. Terry Gordy b Ted DiBiase (#1 Contender Match) Commissioner Jim Cornette is expected to make an announcement after next week’s NWF Title bout in Erie that may bring a resolution to the ongoing three-way battle over the gold. Tonight’s contest was to decide Steve Williams’ challenger next week. After gaining an early advantage, DiBiase decided to attempt an aerial attack on Bamm Bamm. It didn’t work out well, as Gordy jammed the Oriental Spike home as DiBiase came off the top turnbuckle. After that, DiBiase was unable to mount much of an offensive attack. Gordy used his strength to keep DiBiase on the mat, and eventually used the Oriental Spike to once again become the top contender for Dr. Death’s NWF Title.
9. North American Championship: Johnny Valentine dq BUDDY ROGERS Valentine has stated that he will leave the area if Rogers can pin him or make him submit. The “Nature Boy” couldn’t get it done at the STEEL BELT CLASH, and failed again in this bout. Both competitors made early attempts at a pinfall, but to no avail. Valentine soon began his relentless pounding assault on the champion, which had Rogers looking for cover. In what seems to be the latest Heenan Family strategy, Rogers got himself intentionally disqualified once it appeared Valentine was taking over the action. It looks like one more match will be needed to bring a definitive conclusion to the series between these two men.
Yet another empty victory for Johnny Valentine in tonight’s main event! Terry Gordy had better luck and will again face NWF Champion Steve Williams next week! And speaking of next week, the NWF returns to Erie, PA with a fantastic show! Here’s the current lineup:
* The Fabulous Kangaroos will face top tag-team contenders Red Pepper in two singles matches in Erie! Al Costello will meet Red Bastien while Roy Heffernan squares off against Pepper Gomez!
* “Pretty Boy” Larry Sharpe better have his Russians ready to go next week! Bob Roop will have electrifying newcomer Magnum T.A. as his tag-team partner when the four men meet at the Fieldhouse!
* Former NWF and North American Champion Curt Hennig was thrilled with tonight’s tag-team victory, but doesn’t seem to happy about his singles match with hard-hitting Ray Stevens in Erie! Stevens better keep an eye out for Bobby Heenan and the rest of the Heenan Family!
* Brian Armstrong and Kip Cornette will meet once again in singles competition next week! Although he has lost two straight against his former tag partner, the youngest Armstrong is doing a better job dealing with Cornette’s ringside antics every week. Will Erie be Brian’s first victory or will Kip continue his winning ways?
* The Crusaders are wasting no time in getting Sir Oliver Humperdink’s savage Mongols back in the ring! The masked men have demanded an immediate rematch after tonight’s fiasco! This feud is heating up fast!
* Your big main event will see “Dr. Death” Steve Williams defend the NWF Championship against “Bamm Bamm” Terry Gordy in a battle of mastodons! This may be the title defense before the NWF Board determines a fate of the current three-way tussle for the gold! Who will dome away victorious in this crucial match?
We’ll see you next week in Erie!

My updates will be sporadic, as I have things going on that demand much of my time. Couple those with tax season on the horizon, and it could be a quiet few months. Although I haven't been playing much, I actually have some longe range ideas that go through early 2013, but have no idea how long it will take me to get there since I just started May 2011. As always, thanks to everyone who follows the NWF!
