In addition to tonight's Boiling Point IPPV, ROH has also scheduled IPPVs for September (Death Before Dishonor X,) October (Glory By Honor X1,) and December (Final Battle 2012.)
No IPPV for November yet- but ROH has not announced any of its November shows yet and at this rate I would not be surprised if a show that month also becomes an IPPV.
No IPPV last month, but ROH I believe actually only had 1 show (Milwaukee) in July after cancelling their Carolina shows?
So, for the most part, ROH seems to be moving toward having IPPVs on at least a near monthly basis. My question is, do you think it is a good idea for ROH to have monthly or near monthly IPPVs?

At only 15 bucks a pop, I think so, ya. They are doing IPPV's now with hopes of one day landing a strong TV deal and moving into actual PPV land in the future. The best and only way to do that is to get your product out there to the masses. With the TV deal they have now, they don't reach everyone. With IPPV, they are giving themselves the opportunity to accomplish that. Now if and when they ever achieve their goals, charging 40 or 50+ bucks a month for a PPV like TNA and WWE is probably not a good idea. But right now, giving fans a chance to see them every month when they can't see them every week on TV is smart. Sounds like a plan to bring in new fans while making some bucks off the current hardcore fan base. Win/win imo.

Not if they're going to put on cards like the one they've got tonight. I'd pay $15 for almost any show ROH puts on iPPV (I've ordered every iPPV since Death Before Dishonor VIII except Boiling Point), but I'm not paying $15 for a lame duck one match card like tonight. Nothing against Steen or Kingston, but I'm not paying $15 to see them go on after what looks to be the weakest iPPV lineup ROH has ever put out. Not to mention that nearly every iPPV this year has had stuff from it shown on TV. The WM Weekend PPVs, Border Wars and Best in the World all had stuff given away for free. Why pay $15 for this show when Kingston/Steen will probably be shown on TV in a month or so? At only 15 bucks a pop, I think so, ya. You make some very good points, though the thing is that a lot of the hardcore fans, while they're willing to support ROH, aren't willing to pay $15 for a show like the one tonight. I can't see this show doing all that well as far as buys go, but that's the problem with how they're doing iPPVs. They didn't announce this was an iPPV until a couple weeks ago. Same way the sprung the 10th Anniversary and Border Wars on people. If they want to do monthly iPPVs, that's perfectly fine. Announcing a show as a PPV only a couple of weeks out and then putting a lackluster card together isn't going to do them any favors. Neither will showing full matches from PPV on TV.
