Tyler Reks granted his release

Tyler Reks was released from WWE this week after asking to be let go to spend time with his family and newborn baby daughter. "I realized recently that being a Superstar means sacrificing certain things, including time with my family. As a new father, my heart broke every time I had to leave to go on the road," Reks wrote on his Twitter page. "I didn't ever want to miss another moment with my daughter, so I made the decision to be a full time dad and hang up my boots." Reks - real name Gabriel Tuft - has been with the company since 2008, first signing a developmental deal and reporting to Florida Championship Wrestling till his WWE TV debut on the ECW brand in 2009. In 2010, Reks joined the Smackdown brand and then moved to RAW in 2011, teaming up with Curt Hawkins. In his goodbye message, Reks thanked his fellow wrestlers especially Hawkins who he said he's like a brother to him. "I wish you the best and thanks for understanding that I had to go be a dad," adding that when his daughter gets older and understand what he did, she will thank Hawkins as well.
