the first episode of Casino Wars following The Sound of Violence!
Combat Vegas Wrestling (CVW)
Casino Wars #14
November, Week 1, Year 2
Silver Nugget Casino
Las Vegas, Nevada
- tonight's commentators: Excalibur and Steve Corino
In the Ring: Accompanied by The Front (Sozio, Donovan Dijak, Joey "Diesel" Daddieggo, and Martin Stone,) DJ Hyde.
- Hyde introduces the new CVW Champion Kevin Steen who won the title from Drake Younger in a steel cage match last weekend at The Sound of Violence!
- Steen appears with the CVW Championship and starts to talk about how glad he is to have found a home in Combat Vegas Wrestling after having to leave Ring of Vegas at the end of last year when he lost that feud-ending loser leaves ROV match to El Generico when suddenly he gets interrupted by Sami Callihan.
- Callihan says since he is the only member of OI4K who Steen has not wrestled yet since vowing to take out each of them for their attack on El Generico at Supercard of Vegas, he says he is willing to give Steen his desired match against him at Fifty Shades of Pain provided Steen puts the CVW Championship (which Callihan has never won) on the line.
- Steen is willing to accept Callihan's challenge, but Hyde says no and says instead Steen's first title defense will be at Fifty Shades of Pain against Jon Moxley since Moxley just won his feud against Tyler Black in a barbed wire steel cage match at The Sound of Violence.
- Hyde tells an angry Callihan, while the anticipated matchup between Steen and Callihan will happen soon, tonight his focus needs to be on his main event match against Masada because since both of them picked up impressive victories at The Sound of Violence the winner next week on Casino Wars takes on Chri$ Ca$h (the winner of the Vegas traditional opening 4 way elimination match at The Sound of Violence) in a Wired Championship #1 contender's match!
Match #1: Shane Strickland defeated Samuray Del Sol
- this was a really good competitive match to start off Casino Wars, the end came when Strickland hit Del Sol with a Swerve Drop and then shocked everybody by holding Del Sol's tights for extra leverage as the referee made the three count.
- afterward, Strickland could be heard saying "he got swerved" on his way to the back as Excalibur and Corino comment with surprise about Strickland's new attitude.
Promo: "The Bad Boy" Joey Janela is coming to Combat Vegas Wrestling!
Match #2: "The Wrench" Conor Claxton defeated Martin Stone
- on his way to the ring for his CVW debut match, Claxton carried his wrench in one hand while drinking out of a glass bottle of beer in the the other hand. After he entered the ring, Claxton finished his beer and put the empty bottle in a corner underneath the bottom turnbuckle.
- in a match that is part of the ongoing feud between the NOI and The Front, Stone controlled most of the action but lost after Claxton made a reversal and then a couple of moves later hit a moonsault for the sudden victory.
- afterward, the other members of The Front suddenly appeared and attacked Claxton with Sozio grabbing the empty beer bottle Claxton brought to the ring and smashing it against Claxton's head!
- the other members of NOI made the save for Claxton and Danny Havoc then told Sozio if he wants to break glass against somebody's head then fight him (Havoc) in a panes of glass match at Fifty Shades of Pain! Sozio accepted Havoc's challenge.
Backstage: Dr. Mike Lano is interviewed by Angelus Layne. Layne asks Dr. Lano what his prognosis is for Tyler Black after Black appeared to be seriously injured after losing that feud-ending barbed wire steel cage match against Moxley at The Sound of Violence. Lano says that his expert prognosis is that Black has sustained serious injuries- both internal and external- and thus will be out of action indefinitely and will have to undergo rigorous training before attempting a comeback.
Match #3: Da Hit Squad defeated the Beaver Boys
- this match marked the in-ring CVW debut for Da Hit Squad
- last weekend at The Sound of Violence, the Beaver Boys picked up a victory over Drew Gulak and Orange Cassidy but here proved to be completely overmatched as Da Ht Squad won in just a few moves when Monsta Mack pinned John Silver after a FIGURE FOUR & FROG SPLASH combination with Dan Maff.
- afterward, Da Hit Squad (who attacked the CVW Tag Team Champions Briscoes at The Sound of Violence) said they want to take on the Briscoes for the CVW Tag Team Championship at Fifty Shades of Pain as Excalibur and Corino wonder aloud if Da Hit Squad indeed get that match could they end the 11 month reign of the Briscoes as CVW Tag Team Champions?
Backstage: Hyde tells Necro Butcher and Matt Tremont that match #5 in their best of 7 ultraviolence series (currently led by Necro Butcher at 3-1) will take place at Fifty Shades of Pain and will be a drunken scaffold match!
