Anybody catch the Smackdown match tonight? Barrett KO'ed Yoshi Tatsu with a vicious elbow smash to the side of the head.
I can't help but think- that can't be good for Chris Hero. The rolling elbow KO is his signature move and they have Barrett using it? Makes me worry that creative likes Hero's moveset better than they like Hero.

To me it looked more like a tornado punch to Yoshi, probably playing up Barrett's Bare Knuckle fighting background

Dumb match/way to make a big return. Yoshi Tatsu? Yawn. If they wanted to feed him a jobber they couod have put Heath Slater or Justin Gabriel in there to make it interesting.
As far as Chris Hero, I don't have a lot of hope for this 'next wave' of guys were all waiting on: Hero, Ambrose, Pac, Del Rey, Rollins etc...where are they going to put them? We have more wrestling programming than ever right now, and seemingly less wrestling than ever before. Hell, we get 3 hours of RAW each week and we're lucky to see a new guy like Claudio finally show up. In 2012, the real "new stars" of the WWE have been Tout, multiple replays, multiple "legends", and HHH. Kindnof hard to find time for all your awesome new talent with those 4 things sucking up at least 1 full hour of your show each week.

Eh, he looked like every other wannabe who claims to know 'how to fight' or martial arts or whatever. Plus he kicks and punches the guy, tossing him all over the place, but a single elbow strike knocks the opponent cold?

Chris Hero. The rolling elbow KO is his signature move on a side note- as some of you may have already read- Hero this weekend on Twitter said this about his rolling elbow move: "A Rolling Elbow minus the 'roll' is simply an elbow. Discus throwers spin in a circle to build momentum & increase power. The trick is maintaining accuracy as the elbow connects. If done right, the move is incredibly effective. Can't fault someone for utilizing such a devastating maneuver. Besides, you never know where that certain someone may have picked up the technique. Tanaka? Misawa? Or... My dream is to carry on the legacy of the Elbow from Mitsuharu Misawa just as he carried it from Jumbo Tsuruta and brought it to new heights"
