Good question Rahl. Been wondering that myself. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Pulsar (the eye patch version) was the best champ I ever had, and it wasn't as Galactic champ. It was as Interplanetary champ. He was undefeated in singles matches for over a year, lost the belt, won it back a month later, and held it for another year and a half. For tag teams, the two best were Titan Fury and Thunder/Overkill. When these two were in at the same time, if one didn't have the belts, the other did, and they both destroyed all other teams.

The Ninja Assassins had my tag belts for three years (real-time, not game time, back in the two sets a year period), with only I think four non-title losses in that time. They eventually retired as champs right when the GWF moved to Centra, having nothing left to prove. The closest anyone's come to this with any title is Dreggs and Sleeze at just over 1 year with my Interstellar Tag Title (when I had one). In singles, Mesmer had my Interstellar Title for exactly a year before winning the Heavyweight Title, and then only holding that for less than a month.

Chaos was my dominant heavyweight champ. Thantos and Colossus had longer individual title reigns, but Chaos was a beast. Brute & Massacre were the best of my tag-teams, while Mayhem was easily the best Special Matches (Hardcore) champ.

Since I've relaunched the game using cards from all era's...Chaos held the aWo Heavyweight belt just over a year and 1 month until Valour took the strap from him. Monolith is still going strong after a year in the GWF with the Heavy belt. Desolation Factor has held the XCW tag belts since May 27th of last year! Steele Freak has held the aWo Interstellar title (Midcard) since August 14th of last year also.

In my earlier incarnations: Thantos was a 13-time GWF Heavyweight Champion and he had the longest reign at 16 months. The Inter-Galaxian/Planetary title jumped around alot, but Wolf and Spike each held it 8 times. The Gladiators put together a title run of just over 3 years from 2090-93 before dropping it to the Greek Gods. They won the belts back a month later and held onto them until the New Order beat them in mid-2094. In total they held gold 18 times ;D

In the New Beginnings era Encubus had an 8 month title run. He was pretty dominant during it and didn't lose any non title matches. Maybe a tag match or two, but not much.
In my older fed Thantos dominated the GWF title early on with a couple of near year long runs. Bishop Hell and Spike had good long runs with the belts too.
Star Warrior had a six month run with the big belt, which is the longest a babyface has held the title for me I think.

Chaos had several seven and eight month reigns. Matador, too.
But I might actually be in the midst of my history making reign: in my NB fed, Endgame won the belt from Disaster in March, it's going on January, he has defended it frequently, and has only been pinned once in a non-title match.
Ad for the tag titles, Brute & Massacre, New Order, and Overkill & Thunder all had reigns over 9 months.
And Wolf held my IP title over a year.

*I hold a tournament and a tag tourney at the beginning of every game year to incorporate the new faces. This tournament includes EVERYONE and winning it gives a huge lead in the rankings to start off the new year. Just because I'm wondering; is this like a KOTR tourney for the #1 contenders or is it for the titles? Rahl Sorry for the long wait before answering. It fills any vacant titles when wrestlers leave/retire/hold 2 belts, etc. It's also used to give title shots at my first major card (champ vs. #1, #2 vs. #3, #4 vs. #5, etc.) I feel starting the year this way really seperates the contenders from the pretenders and forces my champs to have "thick" skin. I do use non-title matches for the rest of my cards where someone needs to beat the champ in a non-title match in order to get a title shot (cuts down on the belt switching hands every card). S
