Hello, folks. So, when John first started talking about doing a WWF 1985 set, I thought that would be cool to play. Then I watched the Guest Booker: Kevin Sullivan (re-booking WWF 1984 w/o Hulk Hogan), I started thinking more about it.
Well, the cards look awesome and having them in the desktop allows me to play quicker and more often.
With that being said, I understand that this could be an insane undertaking, so some changes had to be made. Each week will contain a minimum of 2 cards. This will allow me to do TV tapings for Superstars and Challenge and the other show to be for All-American Wrestling and dark bouts used for compilation tapes. There will be bigger shows most weeks, but since I am basing the stops on actual stops from that time, I am limited to the arenas they ran. I will also be running all 3 SNME, War To Settle the Score, Wrestlemania I, and the PPV debut with Wrestling Classic on their proper dates.
Now, some of you are thinking, this guys doesn't even know that Superstars and Challenge started in 1986....Well, I do know that but it will make it easier to just call them that because we all know that Superstars was the A show and Challenge was the B show. I am keeping All-American Wrestling (for now) and maybe debuting Prime Time wrestling eventually.
I am using a mix of cards right now and thus some finishers are different. I am starting with the WWF Champions as of 1/1/85 and will begin working from there.
The Champions are:
World Heavyweight: Hulk Hogan Intercontinental: Greg Valentine World Tag Team: Adrian Adonis & Dick Murdoch
Whether you like what I'm doing or not, feedback is always welcome. I am going to try and make this fun and a worthy read. If you have something to add/say, I'm listening. Enjoy

Week #1 1/1/85
Hartford, CT: All-American Taping & House Show
All-American Wrestling Taping:
Bout #1: US Express vs. The Moondogs - A great way to open the year, as both team put forth a solid effort. Rotunda and Windham look like top contenders for the tag gold and showed that here tonight. Barry scored the pinfall on Spot after a huge double-dropkick.
Bout #2: Nikolai Volkoff vs. Corporal Kirschner - As Nikolai sang the Russian national anthem, the Corporal stormed the ring and huge brawl broke out between these two huge men. The ref had a hard time getting an kind of order, but ultimately got the match started. That did not last long, as both men went to the floor and started bashing each other into everything at ringside. The referee had to DQ both men, but Kirschner gained a moral victory by forcing Volkoff to retreat to the back.
Bout #3: Hillbilly Jim vs. The Iron Sheik - The former World champion looked impressive, as he took the much bigger Jim down to the mat and did not let him get off any real offense. The Sheik worked over Hillbilly's neck and back, setting up the finish, as Jim had to give up while the Sheik locked on the deadly Camel Clutch.
Main Event for All-American taping Bout #4: WWF Intercontinental Championship Bout Junkyard Dog vs. Greg Valentine (c) - JYD had the crowd squarely behind him, as he took it to Valentine. JYD used some hard slams, but Valetine seemed to be getting stronger as the match went on. JYD started using some hard headbutts and Valentine decided that he should roll out of the ring. Greg took his belt and walked out, as the referee counted Valentine out. JYD wins the match, but Greg Valentine retains his title.
Dark Matches These may be used on future home video releases
Bout #5: The British Bulldogs vs. Lanny Poffo & Tony Garea - Garea is considered to be one of the greatest tag team artists of all time, but Poffo is not on the level of Garea's usual partners. Dynamite and Davey Boy exposed Lanny weakness and exploited it for the win, as Dynamite used a tombstone piledriver to take the win.
Bout #6: Cowboy Bob Orton vs. Pedro Morales - Orton opened up early on Morales and refused to let up. Orton showed off his outstanding agility and delivered a bone-jarring second rope power slam, but was only able to score a two count. Pedro started fighting back, but Orton shut him down and used his Superplex to take the win, much to the crowds dismay.
Advertised Main Event: Bout #7: WWF World Heavyweight Championship Bout Moondog Spot vs. Hulk Hogan (c) - Spot attacked with his bone right off the start. Hogan was taken by surprise and was hurt by the sneak attack. Spot took it to the champion and it looked very bad for the Hulkster. Hogan then began to Hulk-Up and the crowd grew to a fever pitch. Hulk worked his way through Spot's punches and kicks and opened up with his own offense. The Big Boot and the Big Leg Drop spelled the end of match, as Hogan retains his title. After the bout, Hogan does his pose-down routine for the adoring fans.

Week #1 1/2/85
San Diego, CA: Superstars & Challenge TV Taping
[glow=yellow,2,300]Superstars[/glow] Bout #1: SD Jones vs. King Kong Bundy (w/ Bobby Heenan) - SD walked into Bundy's attack. An Avalanche and a 5-Count, spelled the end of this open bout is about 20 seconds!
Bout #2: Ricky Steamboat vs. Mr. X - Steamboat looks to be in top shape here, as he is working towards a title shot down the road. Steamboat took a few hard shots to open the bout, but battled back and finished off Mr. X with his Flying Cross Body.
Piper's Pit: Rowdy Roddy Piper was joined by King Kong Bundy, Big John Studd, and Bobby Heenan. Before anyone joined Piper, Roddy started running down Hulk Hogan, who has a match with Piper at several upcoming cards, including the War To Settle The Score in February. As Heenan and his men joined Piper, Studd and Bundy made it very clear that they wanted to get their hands on not only Andre the Giant, but Hulk Hogan and anyone else who gets in their way. The crowd showered all 4 men with loud boos and started chanting for Hogan. As the interview was drawing to a close, Piper and Heenan shook hands and agreed that they may have future business concerning Hogan, Andre, and the World Title gold.
Bout #3: David Sammartino vs. Barry O - David has lived his father's shadow for his entire life and he is trying to break out of it. David directly at Barry and did not let up. A more aggressive David used some hard hitting moves to soften up Barry and then finished the bout with a huge Powerslam.
Bout #4: Andre the Giant vs. Salvatore Bellomo - Salvatore tried to jump Andre. Not a good idea, as Andre fired back with some HUGE punches and took Salvatore out with a Head Butt.
Superstars Main Event Bout #5: The Hart Foundation vs. The Young Stallions - Bret and Jim have started to gel as a team and looked outstanding in this main event. Quick tags kept a fresh man in the ring for the Harts and Roma was caught on the Hart's side. Bret scored the win after nailing Roma with the Hart Attack.
--Intermission--
[glow=red,2,300]Challenge[/glow] Bout #1: Paul Orndorff (w/ Bobby Heenan) vs. Rusty Brooks - Paul did not take long to beat down Rusty and finish him off with his Piledriver.
Bout #2: Randy Savage (w/ Miss Elizabeth) vs. Johnny Rodz - Rodz gave Savage all he could handle to start off the bout, but Savage regained the advantage and used a flying double ax handle to drive Rodz to the mat. Randy nailed his Flying Elbow Drop to win.
Bout #3: Tito Santana vs. Rick McGraw - Tito needed under 2 minutes to finish off Rick, as he started fast and furious and used his Flying Forearm to take the win, much to the fans enjoyment.
Bout #4: Terry Funk vs. George Wells - The Terrible Texan used all of his dirty tactics to lay a beating on Wells. Terry used his Texas Piledriver to KO George Wells, for the win.
Bout #5: Tony Atlas & Ivan Putski vs. Jose Luis Rivera & Salvatore Bellomo - The two big men overpowered both Bellomo and Rivera. Not much of a contest, as some hard slams and power moves were used pretty much at will. Ivan nailed Jose with the Polish Hammer to score the pinfall for his team.
Challenge Main Event Bout #6: The Spoiler vs. Blackjack Mulligan - Mulligan, a former WWWF tag team champion, knew that The Spoiler was a tough opponent, even if the fans did not. The Spoiler went for some high impact moves, but ultimately the sheer size of Mulligan was just too much for The Spoiler to overcome. The Spoiler could not use his Double-Underhook Suplex on Mulligan and hurt his back trying. Spoiler turned around into Mulligan's famous Blackjack Claw for the win. The fans were on their feet cheering for the big man's win.

Week #2 1/8/85
Long Island, NY: All-American Wrestling taping & House Show
All-American taping
Bout #1: Uncle Elmer vs. Tonga Kid - This bout started out with both men trading light offensive moves back and forth. Tonga Kid took Elmer over the top ropes with him and both men battled on the floor. They were both counted out, giving us an opening bout draw.
Bout #2: Blackjack Mulligan vs. Steve Lombardi - Blackjack opened up with some hard hitting offense and then pushed the pace even harder. Mulligan made quick work of Lombardi and won with the Blackjack Claw.
Bout #3: Ken Patera vs. Buddy Rose - Rose used his size advantage early, but his lack of cardio boor its head early, giving Patera the advantage. Ken used his power advantage to throw around the larger Rose. Ken went for his swinging bearhug, but was unable to lock it n. Patera took Rose to the mat and used his jumping elbow drop.
All-American Wrestling Main Event Bout #4: The British Bulldogs vs. The Moondogs - The Moondogs, as usual, resort to their dirty tactics trying tear apart the Bulldogs. Davey Boy battled back hard and made the hot tag to Dynamite. Dynamite used his tombstone piledriver to take out Spot and made the tag to Davey, who used his Running Powerslam to pin Rex.
-- Intermission --
Dark Match Bout #5: Brutus Beefcake vs. SD Jones - A much closer match than many thought it would be, as SD battled back and forth with Brutus. Neither man was able to gain an advantage, until Brutus used his studded armband to blind SD. Brutus slapped on the sleeper and took the win.
Bout #6: Don Muraco vs. Tito Santana - These are two of the top contenders for both the World Championship, as well as the Intercontinental title. This bout was drawing a lot of buzz with the fans before the show. Don was not going to let Tito get the early advantage, so he hit him as we was coming through the ropes. Don tried to end this early, but Tito would not allow the Asiatic Spike take him out. Tito battled back and nailed his Flying Forearm on Muraco, but they ended up to close to the ropes. Muraco was in bad shape, but would not go down. Muraco used a vertical suplex to set up his Hawaiian Hammer for the win in this great match-up.
Advertised Main Event Bout #7: WWF World Heavyweight Title Bout Nikolia Volkoff vs. Hulk Hogan (c) - Hogan stormed to the ring with Old Glory in his hand, waving it proudly, as the big Russian looked waited in the ring. Hogan stands the American Flag in the stand next to the ringpost, but then Nikolia blasted Hulk with a hard forearm shot. Hogan, still with his shirt on, falls hard to the mat and is nailed with the World title by Volkoff. The Long Island crowd was coming unglued, as Hogan tried to battle to his feet. Big clubbing shots pounded Hogan's back, as Hulk tried to regain his feet. Hogan was able to get to the ropes and get up to his feet. Volkoff continued the attack, but Hulk started getting that look in his eyes. The fans felt it and started cheering Hogan. Hulk started to Hulk Up and turned the tables on Volkoff, slamming him down hard to the mat. Hulk ripped off his shirt, as the crowd popped. Volkoff staggered to his feet, but the Big Boot sent him down and then the Big Leg Drop finished him off. Hogan posed for the crowd after his title defense.

Week #2 1/8/85
White Plains, NY: Superstars & Challenge TV Taping
[glow=yellow,2,300]Superstars[/glow] Bout #1: Big John Studd vs. Barry O - Studd annihilated Barry in mere seconds, finishing the bout with his Backbreaker Submission.
Bout #2: David Sammartino vs. Rusty Brooks - David is determined to break out of his father's shadow and again this week is dead set to prove his worth. David pounded the over matched Brooks and never let him get a move off. David used his Powerslam to take the victory.
Bout #3: "Cowboy" Bob Orton, Jr (w/ Roddy Piper) vs. SD Jones - Jones faired better here than last week against Bundy, but not much. Orton showed why is one of the greatest talents in the business. Orton used the Superplex to take the win. After the bout, Piper took the house mic and got into the ring. Piper: Hogan...you yellow, son ova gun, you! You can't hide, Hogan. I'm coming for your nice shiny gold belt there, Hulk. So keep it nice and shiny for me, because I am coming for that belt. Piper drops the mic and the two of them walk out.
Bout #4: Hoss Funk vs. Jim Powers - Hoss (aka Dory, Jr) maybe an old hand, but he is still dangerous in the ring. The strong Jim Powers definitely has the better looking body, but spent the majority of the bout on the mat, in pain. Hoss used his Texas Cloverleaf to take the win.
Bout #5: The Spoiler vs. Dr. X - The Spoiler was still smarting from that loss last week to Blackjack Mulligan and is looking to get a rematch. This week he had to deal with the pesky Dr. X. Spoiler took the fight to X and used his Double-Underhook Suplex to take the win. He is focused on getting his hands on Mulligan.
Superstars Main Event Bout #6: WWF World Tag Team Title Match Tony Garea & Lanny Poffo vs. Adrian Adonis & Dick Murdoch (c) - Tony held his own against the two big bruisers with the gold, but eventually Lanny was tagged in and both Adonis and Murdoch started taking Poffo apart. Adonis nailed a DDT to retain the tag titles.
--Intermission--
[glow=red,2,300]Challenge[/glow] Bout #1: Tony Atlas vs. Salvatore Bellomo - Atlas teamed with Putski last week and they looked like they could be a team to deal with in the future. This week they are both in singles action. Bellomo is a big guy, but Atlas doesn't even notice, as he uses his Gorilla Slam to finish the bout.
Bout #2: US Express vs. Johnny Rodz & Jose Luis Rivera - Barry and Mike know that they will get a title shot in the near future, so each of these bouts are merely warm-ups. Barry and Mike made quick tags and used several good double-team moves effectively. Windham used his Bulldog to take the win this time.
Bout #3: Pedro Morales vs. Rusty Brooks - Th former champion started slow this week, as Rusty scored some early offense. Pedro, with the crowd behind him, make a big come back and used a Boston Crab to win.
Piper's Pit: Rowdy Roddy Piper, w/ "Cowboy" Bob Orton, Jr, has Terry Funk as a guest this week. Piper cracked a few jokes about Funk smelling like a barnyard. While Orton and Piper thought this was funny, Funk did not. Funk: I may not much of a good lookin' guy, but I am tougher than any of these egg-sucking dawgs around here! You run you yap, but you don't look like much otherwise. I am not in any mood to play with you two....I am going to the ring to mess up pretty-boy Roma!
Bout #4: Terry Funk vs. Paul Roma - Terrible Terry was full of fire, as he hit the ring and attacked Roma. Terry used all of his dirty tactics to lay a beating on Roma. Terry won with his Texas Piledriver.
Bout #5: Ivan Putski vs. Rick McGraw - Not much of a contest, as some hard slams and power moves kept McGraw pretty well grounded the entire match. Putski fed off the crowds energy and nailed Rick with the Polish Hammer to score the pinfall.
Challenge Main Event Bout #6: Paul Orndorff vs. Corporal Kirschner - These two big men have very different styles. While both love to use high impact moves, Paul is much more of the technician, while Kirschner is a brawler. Paul opened early with some hard kicks, but Kirschner answered back with his own hard shots. Paul's skill started to shine through, as he used his measured elbow to help set up the win, as his Piledriver spelled the end of Kirschner's night and the losers share of the purse.

Thanks for the support. I didn't want it all just to be supercards and such, because 1985 was not like that. Watching old WWF TV was all jobber bouts with some angles built in. I am trying to set-up some great different/new feuds, but still keeping in mind the actual feuds and bouts that made the WWF so awesome back then.
I will say this, things may be shaken up a bit, but good or bad, I want everyone to enjoy spending a few minutes reading.
Thanks for the feedback. Always looking for any feedback.
