WE need clarification on this issue: IS the Main Event wearing sunglasses that he removes before his match? Or are those big "Bret Hart shades" a modified sort of mask (instead of earpieces it's a wraparound strap holding them on, ala Bret Hart's famous shades)? I see them as staying on and I'm playing it that way.
In other words, is he keeping with the Gatekeeper, Dead Ringer, Daimyo storyline of mysterious masked men with similar attributes or not?

See, the thing is, this character seems to be a continuation of the Gatekeeper/Dead Ringer/ Daimyo saga, or at least is being made to look that way: he's the exact same size, same stats, even has a few of the same moves on his card. IF he's wearing a huge pair of sunglasses that don't come off, that would be the same as a mask and it would feed into the ongoing storyline and cause some doubt as to "is he or isn't he?" If he just comes out, takes off the shades and is just some handsome dude like a Pegasus or Paragon, then the mystery's over as far as I can tell and the storyline seems kind of fizzled out.

Interesting topic. At first, I didn't think twice about him taking off his shades (maybe even giving them to a female/child fan as he takes them off...) but its a cool idea to have him wear them as a sort of mask...
I'm sort of on the fence about the whole '4 guys in one' dynamic...but I too had that very same idea regarding him maybe having multiple personality disorder, and when its finally revealed, you'll roll the dice before each match to see which card (Gatekeeper, Ringer...) he is that day. I don't think its a 'great' idea really...but its an interesting one nonetheless.
Personally, I like The Main Event and hope he's a stand alone wrestler...I see him as a sort of 'stud' wrestler from a small territory who's made it to the big time...and knows it...a young Ric Flair/Randy Orton perhaps? We'll see...
As for sunglasses or mask...I'm leaning towards sunglasses that come off...but his debut won't be for a while (maybe...) so I have time to decide.

The Gatekeeper didn't exactly wear a mask either -- wouldn't it be obvious if Main Event and Gatekeeper were the same person? A helmet that covers 1/3 of his face and sunglasses that cover the eyes?
I'm hoping it's a different person entirely. Though I'm hoping most of all that Iron Hand isn't Gatekeeper/Daimyo/DR because I think that would be incredibly lame.
