In the age of the wide spread availability of the internet, the model of Pay Per Views on television (and, in this case, theater screens) is antiquated. I think a semi-monthly format of special TV shows would bring in more revenue from advertisers than Pay Per Views, especially for TNA. Additionally, they would not lose goodwill from die hard fans who order the PPV and become disgruntled with the results. This isn't exactly true. It is true that technology is moving in a different direction but there is still alot of money to be made with the old fashioned ppv format. |
