Thank you hollywoodlyn!
It's now time for this week's edition of Thursday Night RAW!
Major League Wrestling (MLW) RAW Thursday December 4, 2008 The Major League Wrestling Arena Las Vegas, NV (First Half of show)
Match #1: The Sheik (managed by Abdullah Farouk) defeated Johnny Rodz
- This was Rodz's in-ring debut match in Major League Wrestling.
- The Sheik, who last week injured Bobo Brazil in the 10 man tag match they were both involved in at the Survivor Series, easily won this match via a sadistic hammerlock.
- Afterward, Bobo Brazil came out to the top of the ramp and announced that MLW Chairman Bruno Sammartino had made a coffin match of Bobo Brazil vs The Sheik at New Year's Revolution!
Backstage: Sammartino tells Gorgeous George he decided to make a non-title match tonight on RAW of Cruiserweight Champion Pepper Gomez vs Gorgeous George so that George, the former Cruiserweight Champion, can provide Gomez some practice before Gomez defends the Cruiserweight Championship against Chris Candido later this weekend on the EAWA brand PPV December to Dismember.
- George asks what's in it for him (George).
- Sammartino responds that if George defeats Gomez tonight in their non-title match then George will receive a shot at the Cruiserweight Championship at New Years Revolution!
- George agrees to this and Sammartino informs him that his match against Gomez is up next.
Match #2: Gorgeous George defeated Cruiserweight Champion Pepper Gomez in a non-title match.
- George won this match via his Gorgeous Grip which he kept applying even after the bell rang. Afterward, Gomez appeared to have suffered a minor injury as a result. - George thus wins a title shot at the Cruiserweight Championship at New years Revolution as the announcers wonder aloud how an apparently now injured Gomez will fare in his scheduled defense of the Cruiserweight Championship against Chris Candido in just 3 days at December at Dismember.
Match #3: Rick Rude (managed by Bobby Heenan) defeated the Missing Link.
Rude, who by surviving his 10 man tag match last week at Survivor Series won a title shot against Intercontinental Champion Jim Londos at New Years Revolution, won this match via his RUDE AWAKENING.
- The announcers comment that later tonight on RAW we will also see Rude's New Years Revolution opponent Londos in action!
In the Ring: Ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta announced that the next match will be a tag team turmoil match with the winning tag team getting a title shot against the MLW Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Kangaroos at New Years Revolution!
- For this match, the MLW Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Kangaroos and their manager Captain Kangaroo (Captain Lou Albano) came out to provide guest commentary.
Match #4a: Killer Bees defeated Yukon Eric and Cousin Luke

Match #4B: New Age Outlaws defeated the Killer Bees
- The New Age Outlaws advanced when Kip James pinned Jim Brunzell via a STANDING LEG DROP.
Next Tag Team: Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake
Match #4C: New Age Outlaws defeated Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake by DQ.
- In an absolutely great 4 star matchup of a fall, Valentine hit Kip James with a deathjump and appeared to have him pinned for a 3 count as Beefcake demonstrated by making his own 3 count on the mat. But the referee called for the bell signaling, after the Kangaroos and their manager Captain Kangaroo pointed it out form their near ringside position, Valentine had loaded his shin guard while on the top turnbuckle before doing his deathjump.
- Before the New Age Outlaws were officially announced as the winners to challenge the MLW Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Kangaroos at New Years Revolution, Valentine grabbed the microphone out of Cappetta's hand and challenged the New Age Outlaws to a a no DQ match next week on RAW to determine an undisputed challenger for the MLW Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Kangaroos at New Years Revolution and the New Age Outlaws accepted this challenge!
End of First half. Major League Wrestling (MLW) RAW Thursday December 4, 2008 The Major League Wrestling Arena Las Vegas, NV (Second Half of show, First Half is posted above)
Backstage: On his way to the ring for his non-title matchup tonight, Intercontinental Champion Jim Londos is stopped my MLW Chairman Bruno Sammartino.
- Sammartino says that just like at last New Year's Revolution there will be an elimination chamber match this year and once again there will also be a ladder match once again at this year's New Years Revolution. And since Londos has already defeated Rude before at Unforgiven and also on RAW in regular matches, to give the MLW fans a different type of matchup, the Intercontinental Championship match between Londos and Rude at New Years Revolution will now be a ladder match!
Match #5: Ox Baker (managed by Bobby Heenan) defeated Intercontinental Champion Jim Londos in a non-title match.
- Londos appeared to have this match won against Rude's fellow Heenan Family member Baker via a crotch lift and slam when Heenan hit the time keeper's bell to break up the 3 count. As the referee and Londos proceeded to argue with Heenan, Baker recovered and nailed Londos from behind with a HEART PUNCH for the win.
- Although Londos suffered a rear defeat going into his title defense against Rude at New Years Revolution, to the disappointment of Heenan, Baker, and Rude (who came out to ringside to gloat at Londos), Londos was slowly able to stagger to his feet with no apparent sign of injury and thus did not have to be hospitalized as a result of Baker's HEART PUNCH.
Match #6, an elimination chamber qualifying match: Don Muraco (managed by Ladies Champion Sherri Martel) defeated Diamond Dallas Page.
- Muraco won this match via his HAWAIIAN HAMMER to join Mil Mascaras, Nick Bockwinkel, Bruiser Brody, and Harley Race as the 5th of 6 competitors in the elimination chamber match for the vacant World Championship at New Years Revolution.
Match #7, an elimination chamber qualifying match: Jimmy Snuka defeated Ed "Strangler" Lewis
- Lewis almost won this match via his STRANGLER's HEADLOCK but Snuka was able to overcome Lewis' dreaded finisher to win via a piledriver.
- As a result of winning this match, Snuka gets the 6th and final spot in the elimination chamber match for the vacant World Championship at New Years Revolution!
New Years Revolution Advertisement Major League Wrestling (MLW) New Years Revolution (to be presented by MLW's RAW brand) Sunday January 11th The Major League Wrestling Arena Las Vegas, NV 1. Bobo Brazil vs The Sheik in a coffin match 3. Intercontinental Champion Jim Londos vs Rick Rude in a ladder match 4. MLW Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Kangaroos vs TBD 5. Gorgeous George vs the Cruiserweight Champion 6. More TBA
Match #8, the main event: Mil Mascaras and Bruiser Brody defeated Nick Bockwinkel and Harley Race (managed by Bobby Heenan) by DQ
- This tag team match between 4 of the 6 competitors in the upcoming New Years Revolution main event elimination chamber match ended in a DQ when, while outside of the ring, Bockwinkel smashed Mascaras with a steel chair.
- After the match, Sammartino arrived and told Bockwinkel and Race that on the next episode of RAW they won't want to be getting themselves DQd because next time each of the 6 competitors in the upcoming elimination chamber match at New Years Revolution will be wrestling against an unknown opponent and the wrestler who pins their opponent in the fastest number of pin/submission attempts will get to enter the elimination chamber match last at New Years Revolution!
As Bockwinkel, Race, and Heenan protest against this news, tonight's episode of RAW comes to an end.
End of Show. See you tomorrow for this week's edition of Smackdown!
