Disney didn't buy Star Wars from Lucasfilms...they bought Lucasfilms, Skywalker Sound and Industrial Light and Magic. With those purchases came the right to the Star Wars franchise.

Don't think Paramount is about to sell to a competitor. Lucas is ready to be out of the business.

Disney and Lucas Films already had a partnership, with the Star Tours rides at their parks and the new Star Wars land at Disneyland Paris in the works, so this makes sense. Very happy to see more Star Wars movies on the way in 3 years. My kids will be at a good age to see them by that point. Great deal for both sides and ultimately for Star Wars fans.
