Tag Team Championship Tournament
Block ANatural Selection vs Spectral EnvoyNatural Selection worked like a well oiled machine and kept Gheist on the defensive. Harbinger was finally tagged in, but failed to mount a real offense, before being taken out by Vain with VANQUISHED. Vain scored the pin fall before Gheist or Nightmare could make the save.
Assassin Knights vs The ThreeDeath Knight almost scored a one move victory, as Harm set up the distraction at the opening bell, and DK III hit a COSMIC LANCE to the back of Sur's skull. Sur was able to kick out and the fight continued. A Springboard Spear scored another near fall, as did a CATAPULT KICK. After failing to score the win on three separate attempts, Death Knight III tags out to Harm. Harm delivers some hard shots before attempting to send Sur into the turnbuckle. Sur reverses the move and charges in...right into a viscous lariat by Harm! After another short exchange, Harm moves in to tie-up with Sur, but is rocked by a wicked uppercut that sends him to the mat. Sur follows up with GIFT OF THE GODS. Harm fights his way to the ropes to break the hold as Sur tags out to Ghena. The wild beast comes off the top rope with Certain Doom and goes for the pin. Harm's tag team partners try and make the save, but are cut off by Sur and Bex, and Ghena is able to score the pin fall for his team.
Block BSerpent Society* vs The Shock SyndicateIn another quick match, Flatliner was on the end of a vicious beating by the Serpent Society, who had isolated him from his team. The end came as a shock to everyone, especially King Hiss, as Flatliner charged out of the corner with SHOCK AND AWE to score the upset.
The High Rollers vs Witching HourIllustrious started the match off with some trash talk, before hitting a wicked High-Lo-Yo (Add 1), and finishing up with SWEAT THE MONEY to put the match away in record time.
Block CNatural Selection vs The ThreeThe match started off between Bex and Pearce, who was yelling slurs about Bex being an alien freak. After a short exchange Cesaro was tagged in and Bex took command quickly, hitting GROUND ZERO and MORTAL MUTILATION, before tagging in Sur. Sur continued the assault scoring two near falls of his own. Both teams battled back and forth using timely tags to keep a fresh man in the ring. Both Pearce and Ghena are on the mat battling for position. Pearce gets the advantage and transitions into a figure four. The end came when Cesaro countered Ghena with Swiss Death before hitting THE NEUTRALIZER. Bex and Sur are unable to make the save as Vain and Pearce yank them off the apron and brawl on the outside as Cesaro scores the three.
Security is out quickly to break up the fight between the two teams.The Shock Syndicate vs The High RollersVega connects with an Enziguri on Flatliner in the opening moments of the match and attempts HIGH ROLLER twice, but fails to connect, before going for a rear naked choke on the ground. Flatliner slips free and goes on the offense. Neuromancer is tagged in and gets in a couple of shots before tagging in Holocaust who sends Vega to the outside. Vega quickly returns to the ring, dodges SHOCKWAVE, and hits LET IT RIDE. Vega whips Holocaust into his teams corner and tags in SKS who hits THE SKS (rapid fire kicks followed by a running high knee CM Punk style). SKS Scores the pin fall before a pin save could occur.
Both Teams from the EDF have won the tournament so a man from each team is selected to compete for their team. Chosen at random are... SKS and Vain.SKS vs VainBoth men shake hands to start the match. SKS attempts a spinning roundhouse to open the match, but Vain ducks its and connects with VANQUISHED (ZigZag), but fails to get the pin fall. SKS gains the upper hand and lays in kick after kick to Vain's skull before taking him out of the fight with GANGAM STYLE (Shining Wizard to back of kneeling opponents head). SKS has secured the Tag Championships for The High Rollers.
After the match SKS helps Vain to his feet and both teams leave together.The Grand Melee for the World Championship
Alexander Ubel & Conner Murphy vs Coven Black & Ultramantis Black vs The Leveler & Bishop Hell vs Monolith & HybridThe action focuses on Monolith and Bishop Hell as the other six men go on the attack as well. Monolith tried to maul the smaller man, but Bishop Hell fought out of a side bear hug with a sharp elbow to Monolith's temple, and then connected with a Bishop Blast that staggered the big man. Hell quickly targeted Ubel with a wicked kick to the back of the skull before continuing his assault. Bishop Hell gets a couple of more shots in, but 'The Juggernaut' walked right through them and landed some solid shots before mowing Hell down with UNSTOPPABLE FORCE. Seeing his partner in trouble The Leveler moves in to break up the pin attempt. Ubel shoves Leveler back into the fray before continuing his assault on Bishop Hell.
The action shifts to where Ultramantis Black is battling Hybrid. Conner Murphy has ignored all others in his desire to deal with Coven Black, and Monolith snatches the Leveler into the air after the 'War Machine' was punched into him. Man and monster trade blows back and forth before Hybrid explodes out of the corner with a devastating clothesline as the action shifts once again.
Coven Black looked to be in control, but makes a crucial mistake, leaving the door open for Murphy to hit a jumping brain buster. Conner quickly follows up with THE MESSAGE to put away the first competitor of the match.
Ultramantis Black never recovered after the clothesline from Hybrid. The Beast tore him apart before putting him away with a turnbuckle power bomb that put Black's lights out! (snake eyes). The Creatures of the Night have been eliminated from this competition.
Monolith and The Leveler are battling back and forth when Conner and Alexander come out of no where with a double team attack on Monolith, with rapid fire punches ending in a huge right from Alexander, before turning their attention to Leveler. Alexander ties Leveler up allowing Conner to hit THE MESSAGE before Ubel drags him to the turnbuckle for CATASTROPHIC FAILURE. Bishop Hell breaks free of Hybrid long enough to make the save before being blindsided with a Crashing Stampede from the enraged Monolith who then turns his attention on Ubel. Conner turns his attention to Bishop Hell as Hybrid moves in for the kill on Leveler.
Leveler was in no condition to fight back after the brutal double team from the EDF and was pinned after the POISON DRIVER from Hybrid. Hybrid looks for another victim, trying to decide whether to help Monolith with Ubel, or attack the other two men on the other side of the ring.
Conner puts an end to The Brotherhood's chances as he picked up the pieces left by Monolith. Hitting THE MESSAGE and LAST RITES to score the pin fall. The two biggest men in the fight trade heavy shots before Monolith gets the better of Ubel and comes crashing down with CATASTROPHE. Conner is able to make the save and Ubel rolls from the ring to catch his breath as 'The Second Realm Saint' goes toe-to-toe with Monolith. Conner is soon overpowered and suffers repeated knees to his ribs from Hybrid as Monolith locks him in a bear hug. After several shots Monolith connects with a lung demolisher that sends Conner to the match clutching his side in pain. Ubel yanks Hybrid from the ring and launches an assault on the outside.
Ubel sends Hybrid bounces Hybrid of the ringside floor with a thunderous belly-to-belly suplex before yanking him up on the apron for CATASTROPHIC FAILURE. Monolith reacts quickly and yanks Ubel over the top rope and plants him with Feel the Terror. Two more Feel the Terrors sets Ubel up for a second CATASTROPHE. One...Two... Just as the ref's hand is coming down for the three, Ubel gets a foot on the ropes, and stops the count.
(Hybrid has been eliminated due to being unfit to continue)Conner tries for a reverse leg sweep, but is met with a punch to his already injured ribs, allowing Monolith to hit Feel the Terror across his knee, transitioning into I BREAK YOU. Conner refuses to tap out but soon passes out due to the intense pain. Ubel drags himself up in the corner, also clutching his side, and tells Monolith to bring it.
And Bring it He Did! Monolith charges in with a Crashing Stampede before mounting Ubel and raining down bomb after bomb that rocks him. Monolith then goes up top one more time and connects with CATASTROPHE a third time on Ubel to secure the victory and win the World Title.
