Well, I didn't make my weekly goal of 2 lbs. lost, but, half a pound is still great considering what week this was (Thanksgiving)...so I will take it.

Keep in mind that muscle weighs more than fat, and chances are you are losing "fat" while gaining some new muscle. You've come so far, you might want to consider using things like increased strength, and how you clothes fit vs. the scale for a fair and accurate measure of your continuing success. At some point how much you "weigh" will no longer be the true barometer of your success. Go get your BMI and BF% (Body mass index and more importantly, body fat %) checked. All good personal trainers have these tools handy and will usually test you for like 10 bucks. KEEP UP ALL THE GREAT WORK!

Weight loss can be a huge battle, good to see your winning yours. As you get older your metabolism slows down. You also have to look at your job as well. I drive for a living. I have to spend 7 hours a day driving. Not good for weight loss. In 10 years I have packed on 60lbs. And I lose weight and gain weight all the time which is not good. Use the advice Swarm gave, he knows what he is talking about. Good to see you sticking to your guns and identifying your problems with your weight gaining.

Finally reached the 20 lbs. total lost mark.
I have reset my current goals...By December 25, my goal is to be 217 lbs. By January 1, I want to be at 215 lbs. Then, come January 1, I will begin a new 90 Day Challenge, using the P90X workout routine. But right now, I am aiming at 217 lbs come Christmas morning. My original goal of 210 lbs by Dec 25 was quite ambitious, and I knew that going in. And even reaching 217 lbs in three weeks is still going to be a tough challenge. But, I feel that it is doable. Can I reach it? I believe I can...Wait, watch, and see...

My 90 day challenge is up, and though I did not meet my initial goals (they were very hefty considering I was not going to do any additional excercising and simply eat better and drink my shakes), I still feel it was a success ~ 21.2 lbs lost.
I will begin to work out today (starting with the X Stretch workout, then tomorrow a cardio workout using a p90x cardio workout, then switch back and forth until the 5th), along with still eating good and taking my shakes, getting physically ready for my next 90 day challenge, this time using the p90x routine (beginning on January 5th). Until January 5th, though, I will be cardio workouts every other day leading up to that date...so, I still could lose quite a bit by then...
Really looking forward to the new year, and getting more in shape...

I went on a diet after being dumped by a woman (I've no luck with women, read my thread "The Perils Of Dating") back in 2000.
I chose Slim-Fast for 6 days a week and ate anything I wished on the 7th. I lost 98lbs in 6 months!
Of course, the diet was excruciatingly difficult to sustain and I came off it and regain most of the weight back. Now I'm trying to lose it all again.
