First off, I got to say I love the aCe 2123 set. It was my first experience with aCe, and I have since got the other sets. I'm still not quite writing great storylines/segments, because I'm still getting used to the characters, but ideas are starting to pop up.
Just a quick background on my fed...
Nes Kincade won the first Centra Cup, and in doing so, he captured the aCe Heavyweight title, beating Darkseed in the finals. He has since been a 2x champion, trading the title with Pendragon, who kind of became an overnight sensation, by beating Nes Kincade in a non-title match, then beating him for the title a week later. He is also a 2x champion. He and Kincade are the only two to hold the belt.
The Amazing Mann, has been, well amazing! He has lost only 4 matches, and is a two time Holovision Champion. He and Peacemaker are the only two to hold that strap.
The tag team division, everyone is beating up on each other, so it's anybody's game there. The Archangels are the current champions, having just beat Primeval Destruction for the belt.
The main feuds in my fed have been between Godsend and the rest of The Dominion. Godsend recently brought Steele Freak and Witchdoctor into The Dominion and is feuding with Darkseed and Nightmare.
House of Pain and The Six had a good feud, that saw Lance At-Las put on the shelf for over a month, thanks to Mr. Bloat in a Centrapolis Street Fight, and then Aspin Northstar injured, in a Centrapolis Street Fight against Bloat.
Avarice and The Amazing Mann had a good feud over who is the biggest superstar in aCe, which The Amazing Mann won.
Anyways, what I want to know is...who have been your surprises so far. Good or bad, and who are the main figures right now in your fed. My surprises so far have been...
Witchdoctor-while the wins have not been there, as he only has 2 wins, I have noticed that he is very tough as every match he is in is a competitive match. I like his character, and think it has potential. I've put him with Godsend in The Dominion, to make him more prominent.
Aspin Northstar-Looking at his card, I expected him to do well, if not be an upper carder. And I liked the story behind his character, envisioned big things. But so far, those big things have not happened, as he has been a complete dissapointment. He was injured for a short time, as he challenged Mr. Bloat to a Centrapolis Street Fight, to revenge Lance At-Las getting injured by Bloat in the same style match, and to prove his worth to The Six. He only has two wins, though one was a good win over Avarice, but lost in a return match. On the last show, he did make it to the final four of a 20 man battle royal, so maybe that is the start of something for him. Otherwise, The Brigade may see tag team action for awhile to help build him back up.
Shock Syndicate-The tag team scene has been interesting in my fed, as no one team has really emerged as a dominant team with the exception of the team of Ventross and Shepard, who were the first aCe Tag Team Champions and reigned for almost 4 months before losing to Primeval Destruction. Since losing the titles both have gone to singles action. All teams have all been beating up on each other, and for the most part, all have even records. But I am disappointed with Shock Syndicate. I expected them to lead the pack, but so far they have been mediocre at best, and definitely haven't won the big matches. I'm hoping they can start to meet expectations, because I have a feeling that once they win the titles, they will be tough to beat.
Avarice-I can't say he has been a complete disappointment, as he has a decent record, but I expected him to be one of the big stars of my fed, and he has yet to live up to that. He can't seem to win the big matches, and he was completely dominated in his feud with The Amazing Mann over the Holovision Title and who was the biggest superstar in aCe. In the recent 20 man battle royal, which Hustler won to earn a shot at the aCe Heavyweight Title, Avarice was the last man eliminated. I have a storyline I am going to run with to push him into the main event picture, and we'll see how he does.
Nes Kincade-He is by far my favorite of the set. I love the character and love the attitude. Looking at his card, I though the same thing I did of Aspin Northstar, this guy has a lot of potential, but I didn't expect him to win the Centra Cup Tournament and the aCe Heavyweight Title. He has been fantastic, losing rarely, and winning the title twice. I expect him to be a big star in my fed.
Pendragon-he is probably my second favorite. I have always been a fan of the loner hero types, as I think there is so much you can do with them. Looking at his card, like Kincade and Aspin, I thought he had a lot of potential. He kind of laid low for the first couple months. He was winning matches but was involved with anything high profile. Then he beat Nes Kincade in a non-title match, and then beat him againt the next week to win the title. It was then he became kind of an overnight phenom. He lost the title a month later, after one defense against Paganax, to Kincade, thanks to Kincade's cheating, but regained the title almost two months later, and has since had successful defenses against Totalis and Godsend.
So far in my fed, the standout guys have been The Amazing Mann, Nes Kincade, and Pendragon. Godsend has been sneaking his way back into the limelight, and with his new Dominion, it will be interesting to see what's to come from him.
