At any rate, I guess he's just not a favorite of mine on account of not being particularly original.

But I'm making the most of the character because he's reasonably more talented.

I don't read any Dark Knight Joker in the way Tricks is written in the handbook. None at all. I do see it in the way he's being interpreted and played by a lot of people when they do the write-ups of their shows in the fed forum here. This is a case of a character taking a life of his own after the fact based solely on the popularity of the movie and fans emulating what they saw (some subconciously and some intentionally).

My play on Tricks is intentional. At least for now, he will most certainly evolve past this base persona into something quite different but its a start. I'm working into the storyline how he got the idea for the gimmick by watching movies from your era...same as Nitro got is idea from Who Wants To Be A Superhero.

I'm hoping to evolve Tricks into a much darker character and make him a main eventer. Right now Swarm has the Galaxian Title and Tricks should be stepping up soon. The dice didn;t go his way last time but Swarm's riding on a lot of luck lately in the fact that Monolith has failed to beat him on three occassions now.
