School Shooting in Newtown, CT

Details are still coming in, but it looks like 27 people have been killed, including 18 children at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtwon, CT. The school is Kindergraden to 4th grade.

My co-worker's children go to school there (they are okay), but this is a small community, so everyone knows everyone.

This is a horrible situation and I can't even wrap my mind around this.

Very sorry to hear of this. A totally senseless act of violence. I lost a child 18 years ago not by such a horrific act but a loss is a loss. My heart goes out to those families and the whole town. Just be there for everyone and help each other.

Watching the news here is the latest. Some 20 year old asshole took a 223 caliber Rifle into a elementary school. Went into a kindergarten class and killed all 18 kids in the class. What the hell is wrong with people. Any kind of shooting like this is bad, but when its involves kids its truly heart wrenching. This is a very dark day in this nations history.

At work, a teacher who for years used to teach across the hall from me kept his classroom door locked at all times to protect everyone in the room from this possibility.

I am extremely saddened to hear about today's tragic news.

Tonight, here in Las Vegas, there was also a shooting at the Excalibur casino on the Strip. What a f*cked up day.

I do. It's called De institutionalization of the Mentally Ill pushed in the 80's. Liberals decided it was wrong to take care of people who couldn't take care of themselves so they put them out to live on the street. Liberals decided it was mentally ill people's right not to take their medicine if they choose to though they can't really make a sound decision because (shocking) they are mentally ill. Many of the poor souls that were freed from those group homes have ended up as the homeless folks we see in every city. So now, instead of institutionalizing young people who have no real place in society, we diagnose them with whatever allows us to keep them drugged up 24/7. One day they decide to stop taking their meds, and BOOM. Bombs go off. Some people try to kill just themselves, others try to kill a bunch a kids in a school. WE cannot understand it because it is not a sane thought to be understood. It's insane, and insane people belong locked up away from the rest of us. This kid should have been locked up in mental institution. Read about him. He had tons of problems. He was on tons of drugs (or probably off them however you want to look at it).

I wonder if this tragedy will be the end of the Liberals for good. Are they happy now? Have they had enough yet? Are Liberals done fighting for the rights of everyone who cannot make a decent life for themselves by risking the lives of all those who can? Not everyone is equal, sorry. Some people are crazy and (obviously) have no business in society. But we don't notice that. We see videos of toothless street thugs screaming "ROMNEY SUCKS!" and cheering for their "FREE OBAMA PHONES!" and we accept that. We say "Ya, that's ok. That person should be voting." And why? Because as soon as anyone with a God damn brain in their head says "Wait a minute, that's messed up." and tries to correct and OBVIOUS wrong, we have the PC Liberals screaming "bigot!", calling names, doing everything than can to ruin the reputation of the person who disagrees with them (see Chi-fil-A). Liberals have struck fear into the those who are good, whole, pure, hard-working and God fearing. Their threats to march, picket, strike and basically make our lives living hell until we bend over to their PC agendas is what is demolishing this country. This is not my country. I did not sign up for this shit. When I was a kid these things didn't happen. We didn't have teenage anarchists terrorizing society. This was created by the PC movement. And until the PC movement is crushed and removed from our lives, it's going to keep happening.
