Yeah I'm a new player and I have some questions about where to start. I plan on buying all of the gwf online sets at once but which intro package is the best to get.

I'm assuming that you are going to be playing online? And are these the ones you are talking about?
COTGonline Total Packages COTGonline-Original GWF TOTAL PACKAGE! $38.00 Buy COTGonline-GWF New Beginning TOTAL PACKAGE! $39.00 Buy COTGonline-aCe: all-Centra entertainment TOTAL PACKAGE! $45.00 Buy COTGonline-New Beginning GWF Introductory Package $19.00 Buy COTGonline-Original GWF Introductory Package $19.00 Buy
The Introductory Packages only give you one month of both stat tracker and game table, so if you are wanting a longer subscription those would probably not be your choice. Out of all of these I personally would go with the aCe Total Package just based on it being the current playing year in aCe. That and you can download and print the cards yourself so you can play with the dice. The other packages on Online ONLY no printable cards.
The new beginnings set is year 2119 while the game is currently 2123, but its a good jump on point.
The Original GWF has the first set ever created, it does not have the special rules or gimmicks on cards that the newer sets have evolved into using but once again it is what started it all and is fun even without the extra gimmicks....does that help or are we still not hitting the mark?

Yeah that really helps, but one more question, if I buy the ace total package can I use gwf guys in that online fed and vice versa with ace guys if I buy the new beginnings total pack.

Yeah you can run any time of fed you want with characters as long as they can be used online. You may have to create a custom roster for the stat tracker, but as far as the simulator goes I can run a best of 10 matches between Paganax (aCe) and Thantos (GWF 2087). But too keep track of records you will have to make a custom roster with everyone in it to keep track of standings and rankings. As long as you buy the digital sets you can play with them however you want...However if you buy one TOTAL PACKAGE I'm not sure that you would need to buy another TOTAL PACKAGE. Look at the Digital Sets portion of the store because the Total Package includes a subscription. So if you just want a six month subscription the best cost effective way is to pick your fav total package and go buy the digital sets that you want. If you want a 12 month subscription I am unsure if they will make it a 12 month subscription if you buy two total packages...I'd imagine they would but they would have to answer that because I'm unsure of that. And for anyone interested Paganax and Thantos both got 5 wins .

What I wanted to do was to start from the beginning with the 2087 total pack but I also wanted the updated rules and gimmicks so if buy the 2087 total and all the gwf digital sets would it update the rules automatically when I buy new beginning digital set? Also one more dumb question, can I run more than one fed at once? I want a gwf and ace fed going head to head.

I have an aCe, GWF 2087, and GWFZ (no digital cards just use it to keep track of stats for me rolling it out).
Umm I believe that they have the advance rules up no matter what you buy in the stat tracker will have the rules somewhere.
The gimmicks I talk about are card specific. Its like having a roll finisher like for aCe Aspin Northstar I think the finisher only works if you roll a 4-6. If you roll a 1-3, the move misses and the opponent takes over on offense. The older cards don't have or at least dont have as many of those types of gimmicks.
I'm not sure exactly what you mean by head to head for the feds. You can do feds separately (like have aCe wrestlers wrestle in a aCe fed, GWF guys in a GWF fed). Or you you can create your own roster consisting of both aCe and GWF guys. If you got New Beginnings and 2087 you could put Omega in your NEW Beginnings. To put guys from different sets together in one fed it will require you to put them in a created roster.
As far as the Game Table goes I'm assuming you have all your purchased cards available to just load up and play.
