Anyone else see it yet? I thought it was pretty good, great acting and some excellent action scenes! A little over the top at times, but that's QT's style.

I saw "Django Unchained" yesterday in downtown Seattle before heading to the airport to fly back home to Las Vegas.
I agree with Matt, really good movie and without a doubt one of my favorite movies of the year. Great acting/dialogue and great action. The movie is almost 3 hours long, but is so much fun and it does not drag at ll
I liked "Django Unchained" so much that I actually rewatched my copy of Tarantino's previous movie "Inglourious Basterds" today.

I'm not sure when I'll get to see this film, but I have 4 other Django movies on DVD and the original with Franco Nero is my favorite...

This is unrelated to the movie Django. It is not a remake or revision in any way.

Saw it on Thursday night. Jamie Foxx and Christoph Waltz make a terrific team. Waltz in particular dazzles as silver-tongued dentist turned bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz. Great plot, quotable dialogue and awesome action. Only two things wrong with it: too bloody (as in overdone/not believable) and anachronistic music choices (2Pac in the middle of a Wild West gunfight just doesn't work...QT, you REALLY need to get yourself a good composer, man). Otherwise, it's as good as anything Tarantino's done...a terrific love letter to both the Spaghetti Western and blaxplotation genres it so deftly hybridizes.
