I just got this tonight on my Xbox 360, and it was to my COTG's gain. I did get really mad, but then realized I'm going to have to wait the 4 weeks to get it fixed, and sat in to play GWF. I hit up 3 months tonight!!!
Has anyone else ever had just something terrible happen that made you appreciate our little "rinky dink" card game that much more like I did tonight?

A few weeks back, (and granted, this is different), but we were cleaning the house for our 2 year olds birthday. I was shampooing the basement rugs and the wheel and roller fell off. I couldnt' figure out how it happend, but everything else was done....so it gave me some free time to play some Legends!!! (I could probably use many more examples!! lol)

It's not quite the same, but when I started my job as a Security Officer working the night shift, I was at first bored with the "down time" I had between patrols or while doing survailence.
As soon as it came to me to play COTG I instantly loved it. While I may not get paid the most money in the world, having the time and freedom on the job to play this great game makes it worth while

In 2004, I was frustrated and burned out, so I quit my management job at EB Games . . . BEFORE I found another job. During the six weeks it took me to find a gig, I caught up on nearly a year of GWF, and I created a second fed.
Thankfully, my next job had bankers hours, and so does my current job. I get at least one 3-hour GWF session in each week.
BTW, the red rings of death suck!! I've had my current 360 for a little over a year, but it's #6 since they launched, so I've had my share of the glowing orb of doom.

Same here my 360 (just over a year old elite) red ringed on the 4th of July and just got it back last week.
I got back into my GWF just in time i was half way through 2121 when Rock Band came out and I hadn't touched my fed since then. I was able to finish up the year and wait with impatiently for 2123. Now that my 360 is back and I'm playing Rock Band again my Deimos Perenniel is just sitting there waiting for me to start 2123.

I'm at work right now!
I'm DJing a wedding at a place that has wireless access. I ate my dinner fast, so while the bride & groom are doing their meet & greets with family & friends, I have the laptop playing the music and here I am on the board!
I had a lot of "down time" in my Army days too, in which I would catch up on COTG stuff.

This is why I love Champions Of The Galaxy: my cards and little dice never break down and I can take them anywhere.

Rings of Death??? Heck I have two Atari 2600's still kicking and one survived a dark damp musty basement and still has a dust bunny on the inside of the case, and the other was stuck out in a damp garage and looked brown instead of the black it was supposed to be. Sounds like the new systems are having problems with being pieces of crap (haven't heard the same problems with the Wii though that I have with 360 and PS3's). Just don't make things like they used to. CotG seems to be my only escape route in life right now. Don't have the time to get into the bunches of videogames I own. I'm even catching up on 3 months worth of comics. As long as the CotG blue and red dice don't freeze up on 1 or Snake eyes I have confidence that I'll be able to keep playing
