A humble request to the powers that be for a LE Chikara Grand Champion Eddie Kingston card. Not only was he the historic first champion but still holds the title to date. Filsinger already has a history of LE championship edition Danielson, and Cabana cards, and since starting my fed Kingston has held the Grand title three times. I don't even think a "tweek" in the stats is necessary since he already seems to be a dominant force in most promotions. I just feel that the art on his current card is more fitting of his BLK OUT days instead of the leader and figurehead he currently stands for in Chikara. The Grand Championship means an awful lot to him, and a suitable champion card would mean an awful lot to Chikara fans. Long live filsinger games!

This would also be a perfect opportunity to add a "Chikara belt" insert similar to the ROH version without having to buy another starter set. I'd love to have the Grand Champ with a suitable "belt" to attach...plus who wouldn't want the tag belts, YL Cup, and even the mysterious Eye of Tyr that has played such a big part of Chikara's history over the seasons!

Good one ogmundprime. I agree we should have an updated card. Hopefully a copy of the belts, eye of tyr and ylc.

This is one I wanted to see before as well. Its tough balancing out special cards like this and getting new cards for guys that have never been done before. I know the next 2 regular sets for Chikara will be based on the fan voting (Chikarmy Pack 1 and 2). But there may be opportunities to do something of a sampler pack down the road aimed towards newcomers, but giving existing players newer versions of key guys. For something like that I think a new Eddie Kingston is very much in order.

I'd buy that for a few dollars. Seriously, Kingston's been Grand Champion for over a year...an updated card (and the extra belts insert) would be a heck of a way to pay tribute to the man and his contributions to Chikara.

I agree with T Master that he should not be included in one of the upcoming expansions. The next two are set in stone and I'd rather have the future packs include new roster members such as Max Smashmaster, Blaster McMassive, and their manager Sidney Bakabella. That's why I figured it would be better to make Kingston a LE version sold separately as a solo card similar to Danielsons and until recently Ophidian. From a business point of view adding the "belt insert" would make this a must buy for most players but would leave it open to casual players who only care if they have one Eddie Kingston card.

Not that I'm against it, but what would be different about this card other than the art? I mean, he hasn't really changed and his card in the original set was pretty great as it is.
