I don't know, but perhaps if a wrestler in LOTF goes to Japan and does really well for a long period of time that would merit an upgrade too?

I think, even though many hate TNA, but if a guy for Future would to sign with TNA, and get a significant run with the TNA title, feuding with legends like Sting, Booker T, Angle, etc, then I would call for that to be an upgrade. I think of the current LOTF guys, that yes, doing this would earn them a slight upgrade. This is just my opinion, but out of today's U.S. promotions, as far as order of importance, when it comes to basing strength of LOW cards I'd go WWE, then TNA, then ROH, then everything else. Even the NWA title, as of right now, I'd consider a step lower than the ROH title. Granted ROH is now incorporating the NWA title into the storylines, but Adam Pearce held for a while before they did, and he wasn't considered (from what I've seen) quite as strong as the top ROH guys. I don't know, but perhaps if a wrestler in LOTF goes to Japan and does really well for a long period of time that would merit an upgrade too? That would depend on which Japanese promotion the guy would compete in and/or what specific title(s) he held. With any of these situations, there's no real "set rule", as every Legend will be different. A guy can have a good run with a title, not get over, lose the belt, and then never be heard from again. It can create a lot of debate about where a guy "belongs" in the big picture.

I don't consider going to the WWE or TNA and upgrade, in pay, but not in ability, as WWE especially squashes talent and makes wrestlers conform to their sports entertainment style, which is a down grade compared to what most wrestlers are use to. As Claudio, he went to the WWE and left real quick when told he would have to change his style. A lot of guys won't sign with TNA or WWE because of the restrictions.

The stats in LOW are not based solely on ability. Things like perceived ability/strength as well as someones overall impact on pro-wrestling. I like independent wrestling more than most but there are probably only a couple people in the independent circuit that would be ranked higher than people that are currently in WWE.

I could see down the line alternate versions of LOW-F guys. Like a heel Castagnoli with cool double team moves to work with Hero. *shrug*

Honestly unless they make major leaps and bound in their careers then I could see it but if you want to see them a little better in your fed then that is what house ruling/minor tweaks are for.
I mean when I want Brody to be a MEGA HEEL I change the down-3 on his level 2 Defense to a hurt-2 otherwise I leave it as is.

My Jim Duggan and your Jim Duggan isn't exactly the same.
Though he's the only one I have made big modifications to.

not so much an upgrade as it would be a downgrade but...
