It was an awesome match. OverMaster did not want to go down easily. I'll have some more thoughts to post later but I will say definitely my favorite G-Con ever.

Swarm's Elitist Galacticon re-cap First off, I'm too freaking Elitist to even write this, but here it goes anyways. Ride up was one of the highlights as always. 5 hours in the car and never once turned on the radio. I'm both lucky and thankful to have friends so interesting (even if they are totally arrogant, elitist assholes) we can eat up 5 hours like nothing, talking about everything. No trip is ever boring. New hostess at our room was beyond unbelievably gracious. Gene, you were the man. And you answered the door in your drawers. We will miss you. But the new recruit is wonderful. Booked ahead the next ten years (seriously) on the spot we were so impressed. Didn't stay long at the bar Friday night. Had to go home and grab some pain killers after Jim Steel kicked my ass (revenge after all these years. karma) Finished up 2127 rolling out IMPOSSIBLE TOURNAMENT 8 Friday night from the room and buddied up with Osk via text hoping the Online fans would get their stuff soon. Even tried to post spoilers for you guys but new pro boards policy means no wi-fi = no getting on board to post anything. I tried. Con started at noon and the race for She Devils attention immediately began. Chewey and Kevin Melesky wasted no time (prob a good 5 minutes into the con) locking horns and going toe-to-toe 3 feet from her in a wrestling match that spilled all over the floor, a mess only matched by the Kevin Wibble super duty 9,000 dice bag disaster of 2010. Chewey won. Turns out Troy likes chicks too. He spent all afternoon showing She Devil the ropes. Hey, dude has won 4 Cups now so he knows what he is doing. Speaking of Troy, he jacked me Saturday. What the f is going on here? Sleeper Cell at Galacticon? I didn't win shit in the tournaments, but that kind of thing is below Elitists anyways. So I got over it. Forgot to buy my cereal book. Shit. Q & A was truly awesome. You just have to be there to experience it. Tom is on full display, giving up hints, clues and inside thoughts he doesn't share anywhere else. Melesky caught me flush trying to cross his path, leaving me in more pain than Ghena. Ok. I get it. You want to hurt me. It hurts. Stop touching me. Pac Man ghosts. Bonfire was cool. Tall water only. Canada Cup was a lot of fun. Had great group. Sam, Jeff, Mike, myself and I think it was Josh or Jmello. I was way drugged up by then thanks to Troy, Jim and Melesky wailing on my arm all weekend for no reason than they are evil bastards. Troy wins legit. I watched. It's true. Congrats Galactiking. made it home in time to post most of IT8. Ready for 2128 now. Another year gone. Already looking forward to next, as usual.

Poor Swarm's arm seemed to have a magnetic attraction for people bumping into it. That sucked.
However, the weekend itself was awesome (excepting the ride home) Got to Pittsburgh easily enough and hung around with Jim till Kevin W. was ready and we did a couple errands before heading to Jamestown. No problems at all this year getting there.
Friday was a bit subdued really, but it was still fun. Seeing the Steen art was really cool and seeing Ashley again was great.
Saturday after stopping at Tim Horton's for breakfast (really nice dougnuts), we made our way to the con. First thing, I did run a few matches with Ashley. She's a real sweetheart.
The tourneys were a lot of fun. Didn't really get going till LOW Attitude, when Cabana did well until Kip/Billy just wouldn't let me get in any offense.
Trivia was funny. Three questions and I had won. The Andre Battle Royal performance I guess. After that performance, I've decided to retire from trivia. I just couldn't do it better.
The food was nice as always. And of course it was great seeing the guys.
Poor Jim Steel nearly did himself in falling out of the shower. A new G-Con moment to remember.
Jack was hilarious. It's always good seeing the Noxious Loudspeaker.
Great seeing Broc and Sam back after they missed last year.
Had fun catching up with the D-towners.
Also good seeing the Meleskies and the Millers. I think they talked to Ashley about as much as I did.
Mike Fortune's Canada Cup was fun as always. Seeing Commander Sam and Billy Jo Boxer winning their brackets was cool.
Seeing Chewey again was great even though I think his girlfriend felt really out of place.
Was fun seeing Smoke actually awake the whole time. Jaron continued to do well in tourneys. However, without Smoke's money, he was a non-factor in the auction.
Great seeing Mr. Jimmyface and family. Jimmy never fails to bring me a lot of smiles.
Also was good seeing anyone I missed as I'm still exhausted from the trip home.
Winning Galacticup is always awesome especially as I went Daniel Bryan at the end....Yes! Yes ! Yes !
Biggest props to Tom, Todd, JMello, Kevin Wible and Jim Steel for helping make this year's con the best I can remember. If you've not been, make it a point to go. If you have been, come on back.

Another year -- another Gcon in the books! Tom said this over the weekend and it's totally true - Gcon is becoming a reunion more than a 'Con. Made great time on the drive as usual and we see that Black Death Gene had been replaced by the super nice Cheryl. Best wishes in your retirement, Gene. Always cool to see the usual suspects at the elitist hangout, Cherry Lounge. My favorite part is getting the new set and watching everyone's reactions as they see the cards and read the handbook. Jim Steel no sold the new set and the awesome Kevin Steen teaser when he said "meh." Hard man to impress! ;D Had to announce on Sunday "No hitting Rob's arm!" Looks like I should've done that Friday and Saturday. Sorry bro. Had fun in the tournaments on Saturday and made it to the finals of the 2nd LOW tourney with "Dr. Death" Steve Williams but was bested by Mike Fortune and Nick "The Sweater" Bockwinkel. Almost won my bracket of the Canada Cup but lost my last 2 matches so Jaron won, which is fine with me. Congrats to Troy and his 4th win of the GalactiCup. He embraces the top Gcon heel well. Had a blast seeing all the guys - The Steel City Posse, Chewey, The Meleskys, Smoke and Fire, Broc, Sam, Tim Dalton, Jack/Louden/Gavin, Todd, Jim, Jeff Reno and of course I had to spend some time throwing zingers back and forth with Josh Ramel. And what Gcon wouldn't be complete without JMello and Mike Fortune and their drinking stories?! I thought Commissioner Charlie Cox was going to be there but maybe he had to suspend some wrestlers. Missed seeing some of the usual Gcon'ers like Pete Beck, Chad and Cory, Fusco and Kevin Butcher. Maybe they got taken over by the Black Death or maybe just too elitist to come to Jamestown. Q&A with Tom was great! So cool to hear about what Tom has plans for the future of the GWF. Rob dropping some of the plans he has for the ROH game was awesome, too! BTW, where are the spoilers you ask? In the handbook. You'll get yours soon. Thanks again to Tom for another great weekend of COTG fun and I'm already looking forward to next year. Gotta win that Cup!!

Galacticon Memories
The trip started off interesting as I headed to the Red Roof Inn where Mike Delve-Keddy(Fortune) told me were staying at this year. He told me his wife booked the room under a corporate account, so I gave them every name I could think of, but to no avail. Eventually I called Broc and found he and Sam eating at Bob Evans. After we finished eating Mike called from the Comfort Inn to inform us he told us the wrong place. Apparently Canadian cell phones get no service in Jamestown. He did bring Sleeman's as always, so we forgave him quickly.
Friday night we arrived about an hour and a half later then it started and several people were already gone. After staying and drinking at Cherry Loung for awhile, Tom suggested the crew bounce to Mojo's and then Forte. Both places were pretty dead, but they still had beer so a good time continued.
After we closed down the bar Mike, myself, Jack, and Todd proceeded to McDonald's where the girls in the drive-thru bribed me with a free milk shake to see what a guy was doing sitting in the parking lot. Once said dare was done they provided us each with our own free milk shake!
GCon was fun as ever, with the tournaments running smoothly, and it was great talking to everyone.
Marty(the cereal guy) knew his sports and we talked a lot about various sport topics.
I love watching the tournaments and recording results, plus seeing who wins each bracket is always amazing.
I could name everyone at the con and mention various conversations, but everyone was friendly and we had great conversation like always. My former trivia tag partner Kevin Melesky has decided to torment me with his outfits, but non-the-less is a joy to talk wrestling with at the Con.
After the Con we shared great experiences and stories at both the hotel and the bonfire at Tom's house. I learned Ashley thought wrestling was real until last year and she also calls it a "Mote Control".
It was great rooming with Mike, Broc, and Sam and the only downsides of GCon is some people were missing this year and it's a whole year before I'll see you most again!
I leave you with inside jokes of "Who's Jeff Manning?" and "Yes, that's inappropriate."

Great reviews of the con so far by everyone and all are spot on in saying this was one of the best ones yet. I had a great time seeing and talking to everyone again. There were a ton of great and funny moments. One of the funniest had to be Chewey thinking he won an item in the auction walking up to the front with his money out only to be outbid at the last second and then putting his money away and doing a walk of shame back to his seat. Ashley was a great guest, I enjoyed visiting with her at the con and thought she did a great job helping with the auction. I had a great time competing in the tournaments this year especially fun was the beat the clock challenge which I posted a pretty good time with Coven Black with 20 seconds. Also had a great showing winning the King of Hardcore tournament with SUR! Overall a great weekend and looking forward already for next year.

Sorry to have missed you all again! New job brings crazy amounts of travel- Riverside, California last week and Owensboro, Kentucky at the moment, couldn't squeeze New York in between.
Dare I ask... what WAS the dude at McDonald's doing in the car?!?

Dare I ask... what WAS the dude at McDonald's doing in the car?!? Apparently he was meeting a friend there which he claimed was the person behind us in the drive-thru. He had his phone out and must have been texting him to let him know he was there.

Sounds like it was fun. I can never go because I work weekends.
Just curious, was there any new news about the new Classics set Tom plans to put out this year?
