The main news was that it may get postponed till early next year due to all the Legends stuff coming out at the end of the year.

Melesky caught me flush trying to cross his path, leaving me in more pain than Ghena. Ok. I get it. You want to hurt me. It hurts. Stop touching me. I didn't want to do it, but I lost a match against Jim Steel that morning and he forced me to join the Nexus. He's a bad, bad man. Sorry bro. It was great seeing everyone again this past weekend. I always enjoy catching up with everyone. It's amazing how this once-a-year trek has almost turned into a family reunion. |

The only non LOW/LOTF Set coming out tis year will be the next 6 color cards from the original 24

I had more fun at this con than most, I think it had a lot to do with my roommates Jeff, Sam and Broc.
Friday nights are becoming one of my favourite parts of the con, you just never know where things will end up. The McDonalds drive through was funny. Jack and Todd J get pretty funny when having a few.
I entered more tourneys than I normally did. Had End of Days and he got his ass kicked by Balaal. Beating Steve Williams with Nick Bockwinkel was heart wrenching for me. I won the match but knocked out my favourite wrestler.
Saturday night at Tom's for me has become a mock the lone Canadian for the first hour and the random topics that come up around a campfire when people have been drinking. And the Brocster has some great stories.
On Sunday with the Canada Cup I try to mix things up. This year you were put into a bracket made up of either Titans, Aethrans, Ani-men and Earth. It was cool to see Commander Sam and Billy Joe Boxer win their brackets. I lost in the finals to Todd J. Commander Sam (2079) is a monster in a torture chamber, but Monalith prevailed 2-1.
I still think the trivia challenge was fixed. Troy has won four Galacticups and I tip my cap to him. It was good seeing and meeting everyone again. My wife always gives me a look and asks why I go when I barely play the game and I have to explain every year that I go to hang out with my GWF brothers. One day the streak will end but for the mean time I don't see me missing a con for a few more years.
Next year here is hoping we will have Dr.Smoke and Who's Jeff Manning.
