KOTROV was awesome, Vegas. Claudio Castagnoli over Davey Richards in the finals was really wild and I like "Double C" now becoming a double champion.

KOTROV was awesome, Vegas. Claudio Castagnoli over Davey Richards in the finals was really wild and I like "Double C" now becoming a double champion. Thanks cruefan68! If you read ROV TV Episode #10 (to be posted later today,) you'll see how you gave me a good idea for having "Double C" meaning double champion!

It is now time for the first episode of ROV TV since the King of the Ring of Vegas (KOTROV) ended!
Ring of Vegas (ROV) ROV TV, Episode #10 March 18th, Year One Las Vegas, NV
In the Ring: ROV matchmaker Nigel McGuinness
- McGuinnesss says normally he would start this show by introducing the new champion which in this case (thanks to the interference of S.C.U.M. who sought to stop their enemy Davey Richards from becoming ROV Champion) is the first-ever ROV Champion Claudio Castagnoli. However, Castagnoli has refused to appear on ROV TV and instead sent this video recorded message.
video:With both the ROV Championhip and the Grand Championship strapped around his waist and with Jakob Hammermeier and Daizee Haze in the background, Castagnoli says he will not appear in Ring of Vegas except for the contractually stated minimum of defending the ROV Championship on requested ROV IPPVs.
- McGuinness says Raising the Stakes scheduled for March 30th will be the first such title defense for Castagnoli and to try and ensure that the ROV Championship is indeed returned to ROV on a full time basis McGuiness is indeed raising the stakes on Castagnoli by making him defeat not just 1 wrestler (as he did 6 times in the King of the Ring of Vegas to become the champion) but against 2 wrestlers- ROV regulars Kevin Steen and Roderick Strong (who both made the KOTROV Semi-Finals) in a triple threat match!
Match #1: Scorpio Sky defeated Tommaso Ciampa by DQ
- this match ended in DQ when the action spilled out of the ring where Ciampa again went berserk this time by repeatedly smashing Sky with a steel chair
- afterward, 2 Cold Scorpio appeared and said the match he and Sky suggested on a recent ROV TV episode to determine who is the top Scorpio in ROV should take place at Raising the Stakes. Sky accepted 2 Cold's challenge with a handshake!
Backstage: McGuinness confronts ROV TV Champion Adam Pearce and his manager Truth Martini.
- McGuinness tells Pearce that after getting DQd in a title defense against Willie Mack on ROV TV and then after using the Book of Truth to force Mack to get counted out in another title defense at KOTROV, Pearce still has not defeated Mack decisively and thus will defend the ROV TV Championship in a no DQ and no countout match at Raising the Stakes!
Match #2: Bryan Danielson defeated Mike Mondo
- after getting eliminated in the Elite 8 and then also losing a great non-title and non-tournament match to CVW Champion Drake Younger at KOTROV this past weekend, Danielson rebounded back into the win column by quickly proceeding to put away Mondo with a crossface chicken wing
- afterward, Danielson issued an open challenge for a match at Raising the Stakes!
In the Ring: McGuinness
- McGuinness says after Show #8: Raising the Stakes, Show #9 is quickly scheduled for the following week on April 6th. McGuinness says that Show #9 will be called Luck Be a Lady featuring a tournament to determine the first-ever Women of Vegas Champion!
- Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team (WGTT) then appeared and interrupted McGuinness as Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas said both of their enemies Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly should be in that ladies tournament since both members of Future Shock constantly whine like a couple of women. This brought out Future Shock who got into a brawl with WGTT until McGuinness announced that the long anticipated Future Shock vs WGTT grudge match will take place at Raising the Stakes!
Match#3: Jay Lethal defeated Mike Bennett (accompanied by both Brutal Bob and Maria)
- Bennett seemed distracted by the appearance of Delirious who from a distance stood and stared again at Maria as Lethal proceeded to get the win after 2 straight Hail to the Kings.
Ring of Vegas Raising the Stakes (Show #9)March 30, Year 1 Silverton Casino Las Vegas, NV 1. Roderick Strong vs Kevin Steen vs ROV Champion Claudio Castagnoli 2. ROV Tag Team Champions the Briscoes vs the All Sleaze Express 3. Willie Mack vs ROV TV Champion Adam Pearce (no DQ, no countout) 4. Future Shock vs Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team 5. Too Cold Scorpio vs Scorpio Sky more matches TBA
Match #4: American Wolves defeated S.C.U.M. by countout
- furious at how S.C.U.M. prevented Richards from becoming ROV Champion at KOTROV last weekend, the Wolves started off quickly on the attack and dominated the action in this match until Steve Corino got thrown out of the ring and, apparently sensing an inevitable loss, Corino and Jimmy Jacobs walked away from the ring while an angry Richards and Eddie Edwards yelled at them challenging them to return as the Wolves/S.C.U.M. feud appears far from over.
End of Show.

Great show, Vegas. I like Nigel putting his foot down setting up the triple threat for Claudio vs. Strong and Steen. That should be a great bout. Claudio as a double champion really does have a lot of possibilities especially if he survives the triple threat. Raising the Stakes is already looking great and I'm looking forward to women's action in ROV.

With just 5 days to go until Raising the Stakes, it is now time for this week's episode of ROV TV!
Ring of Vegas (ROV) ROV TV, Episode #11 March 25th, Year One Las Vegas, NV
Match #1: Shelton Benjamin (accompanied by Charlie Haas) defeated Adam Cole (accompanied by Kyle O'Reilly)
- 5 days before Future Shock and Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team wrestle each other in a grudge match at Raising the Stakes, Cole took on Benjamin tonight in singles action
- good competitive match won by Benjamin via a superkick
- afterward, Haas waylaid O'Reilly with a steel chair and then entered the ring where he and Benjamin looked to take out Cole before their tag match at Raising the Stakes by unleashing a double team upon him. Both the Young Bucks and the C&C Wrestle Factory arrived to save Cole but the Bucks, while attempting to strike Benjamin, accidentally hit Caprice Coleman with Early Onset Alzheimer's (double superkicks) as WGTT snuck away laughing at both the Bucks and the C&C Wrestle Factory.
Backstage: ROV matchmaker Nigel McGuinness tells Mike Bennett he has to wrestle his enemy Delirious this weekend at Raising the Stakes.
Match #2: 2 Cold Scorpio defeated Ethan Page by DQ
- for this match involving his opponent at Raising the Stakes, Scorpio Sky provided guest color commentary
- this match ended when 2 Cold Scorpio, apparently to send a message to his upcoming opponent Sky, threw Page out of the ring where he landed on Sky at the commentating table. An angry Sky then entered the ring and gave 2 Cold an ACE OF SPADES leading to the referee to disqualify Page.
- which of these two Scorpios will be victorious at Raising the Stakes?
Backstage: the Young Bucks attempt to approach Cedric Alexander to explain they didn't mean to hit Coleman with Early Onset Alzheimer's but an angry Alexander tells them they need "to Buck off" and challenges them to a match against him and Coleman at Raising the Stakes.
Match #3: Athena defeated MsChif
- in this Women of Vegas match, 12 days before the Luck Be a Lady IPPV to determine the 1st ever Women of Vegas Champion, Athena won via a springboard DDT.
- afterward, McGuinness entered the ring to announce at Raising the Stakes, as a preview for Luck be a Lady, there will be a four way elimination match of Cheerleader Melissa vs Mercedes Martinez vs Saraya Knight vs Madison Eagles!
Backstage: the All Sleaze Express (Joey Ryan and Rhett Titus) are seen watching the previous match and Nigel's post match announcement on a backstage TV.
- Joey Ryan: "So there is going to be an IPPV called Lick Me a Lady?"
- Rhett Titus: "No, the IPPV is not called Lick Me a Lady. It is called Luck Be a Lady like the name of the Frank Sinatra song- Sinatra used to live in Las Vegas and you hear that song being played on the TV commercials for the local strip clubs."
- Joey Ryan: "So the IPPV is not called Lick Me a Lady? No matter, because the ladies will be licking us once we take the ROV Tag Team Championship from the Briscoes this weekend at Raising the Stakes."
- Joey Ryan and Rhett Titus then laugh wickedly.
In the Ring: Bryan Danielson
- Danielson repeats his open challenge for a match against him at Raising the Stakes and he is answered by the music of "Olé, Olé, Olé" and El Generico appears to accept Danielson's challenge!
as a result, it will be 2 former Grand Champions wrestling against each other at Raising the Stakes?
Backstage: McGuinness confronts S.C.U.M. (Steve Corino and Jimmy Jacobs) and informs them that, after they decided to walk away and take a countout loss to their enemies the American Wolves last week on ROV TV, they will have a rematch against the Wolves at Raising the Stakes- but to ensure there is no deliberate countout loss again this match will be a lumberjack match!
Ring of Vegas Raising the Stakes (Show #9)March 30, Year 1 Silverton Casino Las Vegas, NV 1. Roderick Strong vs Kevin Steen vs ROV Champion Claudio Castagnoli 2. ROV Tag Team Champions the Briscoes vs the All Sleaze Express 3. Willie Mack vs ROV TV Champion Adam Pearce (no DQ, no countout) 4. Bryan Danielson vs El Generico 5. American Wolves vs S.C.U.M. (lumberjack match) 6. Future Shock vs Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team 7. Too Cold Scorpio vs Scorpio Sky 8. Cheerleader Melissa vs Saraya Knight vs Madison Eagles vs Mercedes Martinez (elimination match) 9. Delirious vs Mike Bennett 10. Young Bucks vs C&C Wrestle Factory
Match #4: Kevin Steen defeated Roderick Strong
- once again, Truth Martini was seen standing in the distance watching (scouting?) Strong in action
- 5 days before they both challenge ROV Champion Claudio Castagnoli for the title in a triple threat match in the main event at Raising the Stakes, Steen got the won via a PACKAGE PILEDRIVER.
- will Steen (or Strong) be victorious in the main event at Raising the Stakes so the ROV Championship will be around the waist of a full time/regular ROV wrestler?
End of Show. See you in 5 days for Raising the Stakes!

Another fun TV episode, but did Steen win or Strong? You have Strong defeating Steen written in red, but describing Steen won. I'm looking for Too Cold Scorpio versus Scorpio Sky...

I was a little confused too but it looks like Steen got the win. Athena over MsChif was a nice upset and I like the way that you are bringing the ladies into ROV.
