Survival of the Fittest Qualifier Matches
Homicide (0) defeated Mike Mondo (0) following DA GRINGO KILLER. Homicide got a lot of heat when he used a fork on Mondo. After the attack, Nigel McGuinness came to the ring and scolded Homicide for his actions.
Jay Lethal (0) slipped past Tommaso Ciampa (0) by disqualification. Ciampa refused to bring the fight back into the ring. After choking Lethal on the guardrail twice, referee Paul Turner had no other choice but to call for the bell.
Michael Elgin (2) destroyed El Generico (2) with the SPINNING SIT-OUT POWERBOMB.
Roderick Strong (0) stopped Rhino (3) in his tracks with the SICK KICK.
Eddie Edwards (1) submitted Adam Cole (2) with the Achilles Lock.
Davey Richards (3) submitted Kevin Steen (6) with the ANKLE LOCK. Steen was bleeding like a stuck pig after one of Richards' kicks struck him right in the nose. "America's Worst Nightmare" had to be escorted to the back, as both men didn't want to end the fight.
Survival of the Fittest Finals for the ROH World Championship
Jay Lethal (0) pinned Davey Richards (5) after the LETHAL INJECTION.
Homicide (1) pinned Eddie Edwards (1) after a piledriver on the ring apron. Once again, Homicide used a fork to attack his opponent after the pinfall. Richards pulled Edwards out of the ring before any damage could be done.
Roderick Strong (1) pinned Michael Elgin (1) after the SICK KICK. Truth Martini tried to control both members of the House of Truth from the ring apron, but he ended up giving an edge to Strong. Elgin, after being eliminated, walked to the back with his eyes never leaving Truth Martini.
Jay Lethal (2) pinned Homicide (1) following the LETHAL INJECTION. During the match, Lethal found the fork on Homicide and tossed it out of the ring. Nigel McGuinness, the ROH Matchmaker, picked the fork up and pointed at Homicide. In the end, Homicide started to argue with McGuinness, and Lethal took advantage!
Roderick Strong (2) submitted Jay Lethal (7) with the STRONG HOLD to become the Ring of Honor World Champion! Truth Martini distracted the referee as a bloody Jay Lethal was about to go for the cover, allowing Strong to get a breather and take over on offense. The American Wolves, El Generico, Mike Mondo, and Adam Cole came out to shake Lethal's hand and help him to the back.
