ROH card #1 at Hammerstein Ballroom, NYC.
Primetime excitement at Hammerstein Ballroom, NYC! ROH initial card is introduced by Commish Stevie Dreamer and Board members Ashley Popplewell and Jimmy 'Bad Boy' Karantonis. Stevie announces that the 'age of sports entertainment is over.... that professional wrestling has reached once again its status as an Honorable sport.'
The crowd goes wild as The Young Bucks obliterate C & C Wrestle Factory with their high-impact offensive moves! Cedric Alexander never gets the chance to make the tag and is smashed by MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!! Both teams shake hands before and after the match..... The Code is honored.... and Commish Stevie Dreamer grants C & C wrestle Factory a rematch against The Young Bucks on the next card. the fans in NYC really appreciated the tag action held accountable under The Code..... and The Young Bucks even stayed after the match to sign autographs and pose for photos....
El Generico made his ROH debut with 'Ole's' and fanfare! His opponent, Jay Lethal, came with his positive reputation..... but Generico's high-flying style was too much for Lethal.... who admitted after the match 'that I was caught off guard.' More honoring the Code as Generico and Lethal lefty the ring together to the cheers of fans. Kevin Steen watched this match from the broadcast booth and poked fun of Generico's 'illegal immigrant antics' and 'lucky luchador status.' "This ain't Meheeco, hombre....." was Steen's stance as he was seen leaving with Board member Tom Filsinger.
.... only to return with Tom Filsinger at hand to defeat Tommaso Ciampa with a vicious onto the ring apron..... After the match, Steen spit on the downed Ciampa. He was fined by Commish Dreamer for his actions. "Ciampa and the rest of the sissies need to abide by this so-called 'Code'..... They are all licking Dreamer's boots.... Not Steen.... and not SCUM..... we are here to take over...."
Truth Martini toted his self-help book at ringside in a short interview..... introducing the members of The House Of Truth..... Elgin, Rhino, and Strong.... who were all booed by fans. Strong: "To tell the truth..... we just don't care about you fans.....!" After the interview, Rhino made fast business of Adam Cole with GORE!
Dem Boyz came out with an explosion in the Ballroom. Lights and fire in their eyes..... The fans love the Briscoes. Rhett Titus was busy posing in the locker room and Mike Mondo, his partner, had an impossible time getting him away from the mirror. once out in the arena, they were greeted warmly by fans.... and the handshakes before the match took place, although reluctantly by Titus. Titus said something derogatory to Jay Briscoe.... and the match started with the Brisocoe Brothers dividing the ring in half and and sandblasting Titus and Mondo very quckly. Jay covered Mondo with the JAY DRILLER. More Code honoring and handshaking.... and The Briscoes signaled the tag belts around their waists to the enthusiasm of fans.... SCUM watched backstage laughing..... Corino: "Bunch of hickbillies.... "
Board member Ashley Popplewell introduces the newest find for ROH, Kyle O' Reilly, who signs a contract with Adam Cole standing next to him. "I'll sign.... but respect is earned, not given so easily, Ashley.... and every one of your men here better know that!." Cole: "introducing---- FUTURE SHOCK!! You got your air attack and your ground attack.....!!" Fans ate it up....
Hammerstein Ballroom security had to clean up a minor skirmish between Roderick Strong and Homicide in the back .... Not really a physical skirmish as a battle of words..... then Homicide came out to his theme and all of the NYC fans were on fire for the hometown boy!! Truth Martini claimed it would be a 'huge night' for his House..... This was a wild match with different styles engaged back and forth.... until Homicide bloodied Strong with his fork..... and Truth rushed onto the apron to pull the referee out of the ring..... Homicide wins by DQ.... and he tears up Martini's self-help book..... and then challenges all of The House who come out.... but are restrainerd by Truth 'for another day.' A rematch is scheduled between Strong and Homicide for the next card...
Camera shot to Commish Dreamer with Kevin Steen and SCUM, admonishing them for something.... Jacobs laughs a cold, zombie cackle with a cold, iron spike in his mouth.....
The Prodigy Mike Bennett arrives to the Ballroom in a stretch limo with his beauty Maria Kanellis and Brutal Bob. Unbeknownst to Bennett and Kanellis, Bob roughs up a vendor whilst The Prodigy enters the ring to a mixed reaction from the crowd. Lots of paparazzi and muscle posing here .... but the males members of the audience were more enthuised with Maria's curves. She kisses her man.... and that is broken up by the vile Corio accompanied by the even more vile Zombie Princess. Corino literally dismantles The Prodigy before this capacity crowd.... and not even distractions from Brutal Bob and the sexy Maria can end the torture. Corino shows his flare for Old School style, putting the muscle-bound Bennett away with a well-placed OLD SCHOOL LARIAT. Bennett complains to the referee .... and Maria does as well.... and a rematch will be signed for the next card....
Prodigy: "Are you kidding me? Those guys are animals! the referees in ROH are imbeciles..... Complete cheating all the way and the OMG.... Maria??!!"
Maria: Yes, I agree. Don't worry, lover. You will have your time in the sun...."
Brutal bob: "F*ckin a**wipes...."
MAIN EVENT: The American Wolves come out to much fanfare. Their past reputations preceded them from other wrestling organizations. Charlie Haas: This is a dream match!" Benjamin: "Wolves, you want some.... come 'n get some!" Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team ran out not down the aisle but through the fans.... and they were booed immediately. However, they never let the Wolves tag once. The match was a brutal massacre in favor of TWGTT.... and finally, Shelton pinned Richards after PAYDIRT. Haas and Benjamin wanted to prove a point.... and continued on the Wolves after the match .... a classic NYC street mugging. This drew Commish Dreamer out.... Benjamin: "What are you going to do, susupend us? Fine us? You and your crap Code....." Commish Dreamer: "No, kids. I am going to do one better.... a Fight Without Honor Match.... the VERY FIRST one..... and what are you going to do when I set the hungry wolves on you?
