(Promoter's Note: This isn't going to be a traditional fed. I'm doing this as if it were a superhero cartoon/comic book. Quack and the Tecnicos are essentially the X-Men.) Issue #1 - ULTRAMANTIS BLACK AND THE EYE OF TYR:
"It's been awfully quiet around here lately"
Mike Quackenbush is standing in the War Room at the Wrestle Factory. The Wrestle Factory a small facility outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where Quackenbush and his friends, the Tecnicos, monitor the goingson around the world. The Tecnicos aren't unlike your normal superhero group, they're comprised of the toughest and most skilled wrestlers on the planet.
There's Mike, known to his friends and students as "Quack". He's the master of 1,000 holds and is in charge of the Wrestle Factory. His right hand man is Jigsaw, who is his star pupil and the leader of the Tecnicos when Quack isn't in the field. The two oversee the training of new Tecnicos and command the team whenever a threat comes about.
"That's a good thing, right?", says Jigsaw. "No. I don't like this. Something's not right here, when I look at the computer it doesn't register any rudo activity", Quack responded with a puzzled look on his face. "There should be something, but it's like all the Rudos vanished into thin air."
MEANWHILE, in a temple at an undisclosed location, we see Ultramantis Black wandering through hallways with paintings on the walls depicting incredibly powerful beings who have previously possessed the Eye of Tyr.
"Where the blazes is it?! The map I got says it should be right here!" It's clear Ultramantis' search has taken him some time. his mask is tattered from the elements and he sounds like he hasn't rested in days.
"If I'm ever going to destroy those no-good Tecnicos, I need the Eye!"
The Eye of Tyr is the most powerful mind control device known to man. In fact, it's hold over the victim is nearly unbreakable and after it's used, the victim is prone to psychotic episodes. Legend also states that those who use the Eye are doomed to bad luck. Ultramantis ignores the paintings to the back depicting horrible and violent ends to the powerful beings who previously wielded the Eye.
Ultramantis was informed of the Eye of Tyr's existence by Dr. Cube. Cube, a villain in his own right, told Ultramantis that this is the only object he needed in his fight against Quackenbush and the Tecnico army.
Ultramantis stumbles upon a door with an Eye painted on it.
"This must be it! Oh, I have found it! The Tecnicos will pay!"
BACK at the Wrestle Factory, Quack is still trying to figure out what's going on with the computer as Eddie Kingston returns. Kingston, a tough street brawler, is arguably the most powerful out of the Tecnicos and while he's a loner, will always do what's right to help the team.
"What's goin' on here, Jigsaw give this thing a virus lookin' at naked chicks again?", Kingston said smirking.
"Real funny, wanna tell us where you've been?" It's obvious that Jigsaw didn't like the dig Kingston took at him, but it's a valid question given that Kingston had disappeared for weeks.
"It's none of your business." Kingston said before he walked away.
"GAH!", Quack exclaimed. "I can't figure out what the devil is wrong with this computer. If there was some sort of Rudo activity out there, I'd find it. This computer could find Icarus if he were standing on Mars, but there's nothing. Nothing at all."
"Maybe Kingston took care of all the Rudos", replied Jigsaw.
"That, my friend, is an all too plausible theory, but I can't help but think for some reason that this wasn't a hunting expedition our friend went on. There's got to be an explanation."
["Maybe it's Ultramantis..."]
ELSEWHERE, Ultramantis has opened the door and before him is the Eye of Tyr. A stone tablet behind the Eye explains its immense power, but also the bad luck those who use this artifact will also endure. Disregarding the warning, Ultramantis takes the Eye and laughs.
"I will FINALLY be rid of the Tecnicos once and for all!"
LATER, at the Wrestle Factory, we see Jigsaw and The Throwbacks in the War Room with Quackenbush. The Throwbacks are a bit of an oddball team. There's Dasher Hatfield, the old timey tecnico...with a baseball for a head, along with his partner Sugar Dunkerton. They often use the power of baseball and basketball, respectively, to help the team overcome the Rudo threat.
"Guys, Quack's real concerned about the computer. He won't say it, but I think he thinks---"
BOOM! The computer explodes, knocking all three of them to the ground. Out of the wreckage steps Ultramantis Black, Eye of Tyr in hand. " I have come for the one you call 'Kingston'", Ultramantis said. "Yeah? Well you ain't gotta look very far, partner!" With that, Kingston blasted Ultramantis in the face with a punch. The two began to grapple on the floor until Kingston flipped Mantis into the wall. Not one to be defeated easily, Mantis lunged at Kingston, poking him in the eye and throwing him into the wall. Ultramantis set up his signature attack, the Cosmic Disaster, but Kingston fought back, hitting a Backdrop Driver which seemed to end the fight...or so you'd think. Kingston picked Mantis up and knocked him back down with a Backfist to the Future. As Kingston set up for his sliding Lariat, known as the Sliding D, Mantis held up the eye. "You will do my bidding, Eddie Kingston." Kingston turned around and hit Jigsaw, who was just recovering, with a Backfist to the Future. The Throwbacks tried to shake Kingston from the grasp of Ultramantis, but Kingston threw Hatfield out of a window and hit Dunkerton with a backdrop driver. Kingston turned around to face Ultramantis, who was beaming. "I have done it! The Tecnicos will fall! Do you hear me, Quackenbush?! I WILL DESTROY YOU!" NEXT ISSUE: QUACK VS. KINGSTON???
