Great fed, as usualy! I am starting to watch some of the NWAH online, but I am unaware of the "88%" gimmick. Can you give me the backstory? Thanks. Back in May, Joey Ryan participated in a TNA Gut Check and 87 percent of their fans voted yes to add him to the roster only for TNA (at least now for a storyline, but I think Ryan is actually joining TNA) to decide against adding him to the roster. Joey Ryan in my fed had a similar fan vote where he received 88 percent of the fan vote (1 percent better than TNA ) yet Joey Ryan's enemy Director of Fun Larry Sweeney has been reluctant to add him to the roster. Ah, ok. While I havent really watched TNA, I do read the recaps of the show. Thanks for informing me.

Yeah, I don't really watch TNA either- but sometimes I'll catch You Tube clips on things that interest me such as the Joey Ryan storyline. I don't know if the 87% thing is being mentioned much on TNA, but it is being mentioned alot out here. For example, Joey Ryan at last month's NWA Hollywood tapings which I attended held up an 87% sign and it was also mentioned on Joey Ryan's twitter. Also, I am not sure if anyone who ordered the PPV yesterday saw it or not, but I went to Summerslam and there was a big 87% sign in the crowd.

Match #1: Archibald Peck (accompanied by Veronica) defeated Pinkie Sanchez
- Peck won via Drumroll
In the Ring: Swiss 'N Sour (Director of Fun Larry Sweeney, Claudio Castagnoli, and Ares)
- Sweeney says that other non-tournament matches- including a high flyers Rey de Voladores mini tournament- for Nights 2 and Nights 3 will be determined as trios teams get eliminated from the tournament and that Grand Champion El Generico will defend his title on Night 3 if his 3.Ole team gets eliminated on either Night 1 or Night 2.
- Sweeney is about to continue when suddenly he gets interrupted by his enemy Joey Ryan (still not officially added to the Lachikaras Vegas roster yet by Sweeney) who challenges Sweeney to a 1 on 1 match at next month's Anniversario weekend!
Match #2: Swiss 'N Sour defeated The Hobo and Los Ice Creams in a first round match
- Swiss 'N Sour had some problems but advanced when Ares put away The Hobo after RAGNAROCK.

- FIST won by DQ when Obariyon got DQd for shoving the referee down
Match #6: Spectral Envoy defeated Joey Ryan, Scorpio Sky, and Willie Mack in a first round match
- a great match with both teams getting in about an equal amount of offense, it ended when Sweeney appeared to distract Ryan and his team which led to Ultramantis Black putting away Sky via a PRAYING MANTIS BOMB
Match #7: The Colony defeated Nick Madrid and the Tribe in a first round match
- aided in this trios match by their trios moves such as SUPER MEGA ANTAPULT, THE ANT HILL, and triple dropkicks, the Colony advanced when Soldier Ant pinned Hawaiian Lion after ANTS GO MARCHING.
Match #8: Johnny Yuma and the Throwbacks defeated Eddie Kingston, Adam Pearce, and Brodie Lee (accompanied by Grizzly Redwood) in a first round match
- Yuma and the Throwbacks advanced when Dasher Hatfield pinned Kingston (who earlier in the match lost a Chop Battle to Yuma) via a small package in a rebound off the ropes

Wow, not a good night for NWAH. No, but they put up a good fight and overall not too surprising given either the trios format and/or the matchups involved. As I mentioned in the write up the Colony (the King of Trios winner for Chikara in 2010) were helped alot by their 2 extra trios finishers in their trios match for King of Trios. If that match had been offered at the sportsbook I would have taken the Colony given their much greater trios experience as reflected on their cards. And of course it obviously would have been a big upset if either Cedric the Hitman and Los Banditos knocked off Mike Quackenbush, Jigsaw, and Johnny Saint of if the Hobo's team knocked off Swiss 'N Sour (who as mentioned won on Ares's +4 trios finisher RAGNAROCK.) It will now be interesting to see how Scorpio Sky, Willie Mack, and Nick Madrid fare in the Rey de Voldores.

A solid start to KOT, Vegas. With the teams remaining I'm pulling for the Spectral Envoy to take it.
