Hey everyone, your Director of Fun here! I've mentioned before that I was going to create a new title here in CHIKARA, and the good news is, I have a date for that!
In a couple weeks, we have a show in Philadelphia at "The Arena" (could you guys come up with a more generic name for an Arena? Why not just call it "The Building"? Do they even know what wrestling is at "The Arena"?). Anyways, after that we're heading to the Palmer Center in Easton PA for a show I have been told will be called "Championship Cibernetico".
Now, the Championship part I get, but Cibernetico? Sounds like a robot or something. Anyways, that ticket guy, Leo, told me you guys love yourselves some "Ciberneticos", and that it would be a way to crown a new champion. So it sounds good to me... I'll put the new CHIKARA Championship on the line in a "Cibernetico".
Now I'm still not quite sure on how these work, but Leonardo said you guys knew. All I have to do is pick two captains, and they'll pick teams. So, I'm picking Mr. Quackenbush and Mr. Castagnoli to each lead a side... we'll call them Team 1 and Team 2 for now. I flipped a coin, and Mr. Castagnoli, you have the first pick. After that, Mr. Quackenbush, you can pick two people, and so on.
Good luck to everyone who ends up being involved...

So, Wink, you finally make a good decision. Naming me a captain for the Champions Cibernetico. As we all remember, I won a Cibernetico before. And I'm going to do it again in Easton, and take the CHIKARA Championship for myself, and the BDK.
And not just that, but I get the first pick? Well, I think it's easy on my part.
I want you Eddie Kingston.
Guess you'll just have to help me destroy Quackenbush and his friends... if you want to get your hands on me again.

Breaking News: more Championship Cibernetico participants announced!
In the Podcast a Go Go, Mike Quackenbush said that he would fill his team with people he could trust; and followed that up with picking Hallowicked and Frightmare to his squad.
The response was swift, as Claudio responded on the Event Center, selecting his BDK teammates, Tursas and Ares.
Quack released a special update, saying that while Tursas may be a monster, he's clearly afraid of Ants... and added Colony members Green Ant and Soldier Ant to his squad.
Claudio took to his own Special Update to blast Quacks claim that Tursas fears anyone, and picked two men who know the Colony well... Pinkie Sanchez and Tim Donst!
Quacks next picks may really upset the BDK. Quack picked Fire Ant, and a man who knows the BDK better than anyone... DELIRIOUS!
Each captain makes their last pick in The Arena this weekend! Who will each man take?

July 15th, 2011 - CHIKARA: Road to a Champion
From The Arena in Philadelphia PA
* TIM DONST beat FRIGHTMARE with the SDT in a great back and forth match. Frightmare kicked out of a few SDTs before subcoming to the final one; the highlight of the match was Frightmare's dive over the corner to the floor. (Match Rating: ****)
* In an Open Challenge Match, TURSAS beat ARCHIBALD PECK (w/ Veronica) after a Diving Cross Body. Peck tried to put up a fight with help from the baton, but Tursas squashed him with several power bombs before crushing him with a cross body. (Match Rating: *** 1/2)
* SARA DEL RAY and DAIZEE HAZE beat THE THROWBACKS when Daizee pinned Dasher after The Mind Trip. Sara and Daizee said they weren't going to let anyone stop them from getting a shot at the titles. (Match Rating: **)
* THE COLONY beat FIST in a trios match, when Fire Ant pinned Icarus after the Ant Hill. After the match, Chuck Taylor knocked the other Ants to the floor, and joined Icarus in hitting Fire Ant with a double clothesline. Icarus hit Fire Ant with a pair of BluRays before the other Ants cleared the ring. (Match Rating: ** 1/2)
x As the medical staff helped Fire Ant, the BDK's music played. Claudio came out with Ares and Delirious, and Claudio stopped Icarus from leaving, offering him the 7th spot on Team Claudio. This brought out Quackenbush and Hallowicked... Quack said that he wasn't going to let Claudio and the BDK ruin CHIKARA and take the CHIKARA Grand Championship. Claudio said that Quack should know about destroying things, since he was trying to destroy the relationship between Delirious and the BDK.
Claudio was about to announce the last member of his team, when Sara and Daizee came out. Both insisted that they should've been on the team instead of Icarus, leading to Ares yelling at them both to shut up. Claudio announced his final member as Ultramantis Black, and was going to explain his final member, when Kingston's music hit, and Eddie Kingston charged down the aisle... only to be intercepted by Tursas.
x In a Trios Increibles Match, ARES, CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI, and EDDIE KINGSTON beat HALLOWICKED, DELIRIOUS, and MIKE QUACKENBUSH when Claudio pinned Delirious after a Ricola Bomb. Ares and Claudio attacked Delirious quickly, hitting him with the Doomsday Uppercut and a Ricola Bomb for the quick win. After the match, they yelled at Delirious that Quackenbush couldn't save him...
That wasn't the end, though. Daizee hit the ring to check on Delirious, causing Claudio and Ares to try and get back in. Kingston knocked Tursas into a wall and came to get Claudio, and the two brawled as members of the BDK and the CHIKARA locker room came out to separate them. Meanwhile, in the ring, Icarus came down to confront Sara and Daizee about what they said about him earlier. He took a cheap shot at both of them, and then went to hit Delirious with the BluRay... but Daizee dropkicked him out of the ring to save Delirious.
Quackenbush saw Daizee clear the ring of Icarus and grabbed the microphone, and said that even if Claudio didn't respect the women, he did... and announced Daizee Haze as the 8th person on his team!
