Crimson Cross - I thought Ciampa winning was cool as well. Finally he has done something for me in this fed! Uploaded to the Ring of Honor YouTube Channel: Jay Briscoe has a Dilemma.Jay Briscoe approaches Nigel McGuinness backstage. Jay: “Hey, Nigel. I know we’re supposed to defend our tag team titles in Toronto this weekend but I was hoping we could put it off for a little while longer.”Nigel: “Why? What’s going on?”Jay: “It’s Mark, man. He’s not himself lately. It’s hard getting him to the shows. Sometimes I can’t even find him. He disappears without a word. I just need a little time to get him to shape up.”Nigel: “I’m sorry, Jay. I can’t give you anymore leeway. It’s not fair to the other wrestlers. If Mark can’t or doesn’t want to keep defending those titles, I think you may consider relinquishing them.”Jay: “Fine. I can defend them by myself.”Nigel: “I don’t think that’s wise, Jay. Your opponents, the Forever Hooligans, are a formidable team. Facing them alone may be dangerous.” Jay: “The only way someone’s getting these belts from me is by whipping my ass. And I don’t think you or anyone else can do that.”Jay storms off leaving Nigel with a pensive look on his face.

ALL-STAR EXTRAVAGANZA 6 September 27, 2014 Toronto, ON Christopher Daniels def. ACH by pin Perhaps due to the poor showings since his return, “The Fallen Angel” came out for this one with a mean streak. He punished ACH with repeated Last Rites. Some of the fans were getting edgy about his actions but Daniels helped a wary ACH up after pinning him. FOUR CORNER SURVIVALMike Bennett def. Jay Lethal, TaDarius Thomas, and Cedric Alexander This match could be summed up as Bennett beating down TD, not letting him tag out and refusing to tag out himself. A frustrated Lethal and Alexander made a couple of pin saves but could not get into the match. Thomas made a comeback and he and Bennett wound up fighting at ringside where an desperate TD bashed Bennett with a chair giving Mike the win by disqualification. Lethal and Alexander both protested to referee Paul Turner without result. Homicide def. Kyle O'Reilly by pin Homicide went for Da Gringo Killer early but O’Reilly kicked out at the last moment. Kyle got in some offense but Homicide took over and pummeled him. At one point, The Notorious 187 pulled out his ghetto fork but surprisingly put it away. After thrashing O’Reilly some more, Homicide decided to end it with Da Gringo Killer. AJ Styles def. Tommaso Ciampa by submission The pair traded counters until AJ caught the ROH World Television Champion coming off the ropes with a DDT. It was a tight back and forth match. Tommaso drilled Styles with Project Ciampa for a near fall. A second Project Ciampa soon followed with similar results. The TV champ looked like he was trying to keep a mental grip as AJ’s resilience began to frustrate him. Ciampa stifled a Styles comeback but a third finisher did not get the job done. Tommaso took the fight out of the ring where AJ bounced back. Styles used a Calf Killer to effectively wear down Caimpa, eventually making him tap out to the move. Matt Taven & Rhett Titus def. The Young Bucks by pin Once both teams had entered the ring, Truth Martini came part way down the ramp. He fidgeted, looking back and forth between his teams, not knowing who to support. It escaped his notice that Scarlett went to Taven and Titus’ corner but Selizya caught it and dragged her back up the ramp. Taven and Titus controlled the first stage of the match, getting some near falls on Matt Jackson. Taven ended up on the receiving end of some Bucks offense once Nick Jackson tagged in. The momentum swung both ways and closed with Matt Jackson and Rhett battling it out. Rhett reversed a sunset flip by Jackson and cinched it in for the three-count. As Titus’ arm was raised, Taven gave his partner a lariat from behind. He then hoisted Rhett up and dropped him face first on the turnbuckle with a snake eyes. The Bucks and Taven ‘too sweet’-ed each other. Scarlett screamed, breaking free of Selizya and tried to assist Rhett as the Jacksons set him up for More Bang For Your Buck. Taven held her back as Rhett took the full brunt of the combo and writhed on the canvas clutching his ribs. Martini came to the ring laughing. The House of Truth mocked the injured Titus as the crowd booed. FIRST BLOOD MATCHSteve Corino def. BJ WhitmerThis brawl spilled out of the ring right away. BJ clobbered Steve with a chair and ran him into the ring post while Corino countered by bashing Whitmer into the timekeeper’s table and using his ubiquitous foreign object. The ref checked for blood but none had been spilled yet. Corino got into the ring and started to run down Nigel McGuinness at the announce position, denying Whitmer’s attempts to get back into the ring. Once Corino let BJ back into the ring, he gave him an Old School Suplex and tossed him back out again. Steve laid Whitmer on the timekeeper’s table with his face against the ring bell. Corino hit a diving leg drop from the ring apron, driving BJ’s face into the bell and through the table. The referee checked Whitmer for blood and BJ was indeed busted open, giving Corino the win. Corino rolled BJ back into the ring and held him up for Nigel to see the crimson mask. He told Nigel that this was his fault because BJ was trying to protect him. McGuinness jumped into the ring but Corino slyly made his exit before Nigel could get his hands on him. ROH WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPJay Briscoe def. Forever Hooligans by pin The Hooligans made their entrance first, then Jay Briscoe came out alone with both tag straps. He paused halfway down the ramp and looked over his shoulder in the vain hope that his brother Mark would make a last minute arrival. He turned back to the ring and shook his head, anticipating the difficult fight about to take place. Jay wasted no time taking the fight to Rocky Romero, battering him around the ring. When Alex Koslov tagged in, he took over. The Hooligans used the numbers advantage but Jay wasn’t going down without a fight. He managed to give Koslov a Jay Driller but it wasn’t enough to put him away. The fight left the ring with Briscoe and Koslov exchanging chair shots. Back in the ring, Briscoe hit another Jay Driller, this time for the pin. The fans were in a frenzy. Against the odds, Briscoe successfully defended the tag team titles by himself against one of the top teams in the world. ROH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPRoderick Strong def. Jimmy Jacobs by pin Much like Strong’s last title defense in Toronto, this one was not much of a contest. Jacobs attacked Strong at the bell but it had little effect. Roddy crushed Jimmy with a series of his signature moves, ending it with a Gibson Driver for the pin. As Strong paraded around the ring afterward, holding his “Mr. ROH” plaque in the air for the Canadian fans to admire, Christopher Daniels came through the curtain with a microphone and challenged Roddy to face him at the next television taping. Strong shook his head, uninterested. Current Rankings: - Roderick Strong
- AJ Styles
- Jimmy Jacobs
- Tommaso Ciampa
- Jay Lethal
- Michael Elgin
- Mike Bennett
- Matt Taven
- Christopher Daniels
- ACH

Superb showings by Daniels and Styles... I see some title action in their future (whether Strong likes it or not)... And a great job by Jay Briscoe, defending the tag straps on his own... Was disappointed that Jacobs couldn't get the big win when it mattered, but such is life...
Excellent show from top to bottom! Really brings the ROH experience to life!

I really liked this event and the highlights for me are Mike Bennett winning that Four Corner Survival match, the victory by Taven-n-Rhett and Steve Corino over Whitmer...

Such a great ROH feel to this fed and the booking. Survival of the Fittest is always a great event and I am looking forward to see who will emerge as the next contender for Strong. The comments of attempting to book the tag straps away from the Briscoe Brothers was interesting. I am sure that all of your fellow promoters have experienced that frustration before. Sometimes working with killer card mechanics is a challenge especially if the dice are hot.

bookerbill - I really appreciate your compliment of my ROH fed. As a big ROH fan I strive to have my fed feel as authentic as possible to other ROH fans. The Briscoes have held the tag titles since the ROH intro set came out with the exception of very short reigns by C&C and WGTT. With Jay Briscoe getting a singles card and the storyline I want to do with Mark, them having the tag belts does't work with my plans. Otherwise, I wouldn't mind them staying champs. Pariah - When I switched out Jay's tag card for his new singles card, he actually got tougher. My plan may have backfired.
RING OF HONOR TELEVISION
2014 Season Episode 28 Survival of the Fittest Qualifying MatchTaDarious Thomas def. Alex Koslov by pin It what may be considered an upset, Thomas overwhelmed Koslov late with a barrage of kicks and aerial attacks. Thomas had fought back from underneath and came out on top, pinning his opponent after a sling blade. Christopher Daniels got into the ring and had something to say to the ROH World Champion: “Roderick Strong, I challenged you for a match this week here on Ring of Honor television and you declined. This tells me one of two things: either you weren't going to be here or you were scared. Since, I know you’re here, it must be the latter.”The fans cheered when The Fallen Angel looked to them for approval. “So it looks like I’m just going to have to continue climbing the rankings until you have nowhere to run. Then we’ll see who ‘Mr ROH’ really is.”Daniels was interrupted by the Briscoe's music as Jay Briscoe came out. Jay made a circuit of ringside high-fiving fans before getting into the ring to confront Daniels. “Seems to me that people around here just don’t know how to listen. I done told both you boys - there’s only one man around here that can say they’re ‘Mr. ROH’ and you’re lookin’ at ‘im!”A sizable contingent of fans cheered in agreement. “Day One, Christopher Daniels! We both been here since Day One. But I was also here Day 2, Day 22, Day 222, you name it! I probably had more matches in this company than anyone! I’m ‘Mr. ROH’! And if you think otherwise, maybe you wanna do something about it.”Jay got right in Daniels face and The Fallen Angel didn't give an inch. “You know, Jay, maybe I will do something about it. Since our illustrious World Champion doesn't have the nerve to face me, I guess I have time to shut you up.”The crowd was hyped anticipating a showdown between the two as officials stepped in before things became too heated. Matchmaker Nigel McGuinness said the match was on for the main event. Survival of the Fittest Qualifying MatchMike Bennett def. Rhett Titus by pin Titus came to the ring with bandaged ribs due to the injury he received at the hands of the H.O.T. at All-Star Extravaganza. He winced trying to get into the ring and Scarlett Bordeaux came out to try and convince him to call the match off. Rhett shook his head and held his ribs after rolling under the bottom rope. Bennett recognized blood in the water and Maria stared daggers at Scarlett. Titus hung in the match as best as he could but Bennett took total advantage of Rhett’s injury. Maria’s Interference set Titus up for the inevitable pin by Bennett. As Rhett struggled to get to his feet, The Young Bucks rushed the ring and gave him a Superkick Party. Scarlett tried to step in to protect her paramour but Selizya Sparx nabbed her and dragged her, flailing, to the back. INSIDE ROH: Survival of the Fittest takes place in Toledo, OH! The annual six-man elimination event will earn the winner a shot at the ROH World Championship! Also on the card: The Briscoes defend the ROH World Tag Team Championship against The Fringe of Jimmy Jacobs and Tommaso Ciampa! Jay Briscoe def. Christopher Daniels by pin Daniels came out like a house on fire, going for early pin attempts. Briscoe came back during a short exchange on the floor. Jay then made a statement by putting Daniels down with a Jay Driller for the win. Roderick Strong ran to the ring and blasted Jay from behind with his ‘Mr ROH’ plaque. He started putting the boots to Jay but Daniels intervened and pelted Roddy with fists. Jay recovered and then all three men traded blows until Nigel got security in for the pull apart. Next: Roderick Strong defends the ROH World Championship against Matt Taven!

Uploaded to the Ring of Honor YouTube Channel: "We'll Fix Everything."Cell phone video - The camera approaches a big pick-up truck parked in a shopping center. A somewhat familiar voice accompanies the footage. “Well, what do we have here?” The camera peers into the bed of the truck. Sprawled out among empty beer cans and whiskey bottles is Mark Briscoe. A tattered bandage hangs from his face, partially covering his eye. He is roused by the presence of the cameraman. “Wha-?” “Hey there, buddy. It's okay. Do you need some help?”“No…,” Briscoe blubbers. “Here, let me give you a hand. Let’s get you something to eat. We can talk about it.”A hand with polished black fingernails reaches in Mark’s direction. Mark pushes himself up, taking the hand, and gets out of the truck. He stumbles in the direction of a nearby diner. The camera follows him. An encouraging voice says, “We’ll fix everything. I promise.”
